This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the service is excellent right from the start. Unfortunately, the Kitchen & bar does not match that same standard. Parking is great at Merrick Park because there is a covered parking garage for only $3.00 per hour close to the restaurant. We ordered the following drinks to start with 3 Tajin Margaritas - the 1st 2 were great, the last one was pure booze, which isn't bad but takes away from the nice flavor of the drink. 5 Seagrill Mojitos, first two were good, the last ones were very watered down and not sweet. And a Blue Mimosa, made by combining Blue Curaçao with dry Prosecco. It was pretty terrible. Bread basket with bruschetta, garlic butter, regular butter & olive oil - DELICIOUS! Bread was pillowy soft yet still warm and toasted. The Fried Zucchini & Eggplant was ONLY Zucchini. These were supposed to be thinly sliced & served crispy but arrived at our table soggy, limp, and soft. Which means they were left out waiting for us. We ordered the following for our mains: * The lentil soup to try it. It was very nice. * Pennette Villagio with chicken added. Penne pasta with fresh spinach, sun dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese. The menu said the item came with pine nuts, but it didn't have any. The taste was good, I just wish this pasta had more sauce and pine nuts sprinkled on top. * Spaghetti Carbonara Spaghetti chopped pancetta, egg yolk, parmesan and cream. Left much to be desired. Dry dish with little to no ingredients. * Linguine Nettuno Flat thin pasta served with an array of seafood and tomato. This was probably the best dish. Had lots of fish and seafood, as described. For dessert we ordered the following: Crème brûlée - was very good! And the Galaktoburekto, which left a little to be desired. I've tried this desert in Greece & several Greek restaurants, this one is by far the driest & toughest one to eat. Overall, this restaurant is absolutely breathtaking & the menu has lots of options. I am extremely disappointed to say that Villagio/Sea Grill at Merrick Park is no longer what it used to be. I have been coming to this restaurant for many years with my family, ever since I was a kid. One of my go-to orders was always the chicken parm, so after a long day of work on June 16, I decided to come back and order what used to be a reliable favorite. Unfortunately, the experience was genuinely disgusting. My chicken parm arrived raw. I understand that mistakes can happen in a kitchen, but what was completely unacceptable was how the restaurant handled it. When I informed the waiter, the only solution offered was to "re-heat" the raw chicken. At that point, I had obviously lost my appetite, so I told him that was fine but to just put it to go. What made it worse was that no manager ever came to the table. The restaurant was nearly empty, so it was not as though they were overwhelmed. The fact that no manager appeared makes me believe either the waiter never informed management, or management was informed and simply did not care enough to come over, apologize, or offer any basic form of hospitality. Then the check arrived in full. I had to specifically ask to speak with the manager, and only then did he take off what amounted to a negligible difference from the bill, roughly around $7 in the end. For a restaurant serving raw chicken and offering essentially no meaningful response, that was honestly insulting. I had to leave the bag of food on the table. To make matters worse, my girlfriend's carbonara was also poorly prepared and extremely oily. I cannot suggest strongly enough that people stay away. This restaurant has clearly gone downhill, especially after its merge. What used to be a place my family enjoyed for years after balling out at Merrick Park has become a place where raw food, poor service, and a complete lack of hospitality are apparently acceptable. read more

My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. From the moment I sat down, I was constantly surrounded by mosquitoes. It was almost impossible to enjoy my meal because I had to keep swatting them away while getting bitten the entire time. This is completely unacceptable for any restaurant. A place that serves food should provide a clean, comfortable, and hygienic environment for its customers. The number of mosquitoes was shocking and completely ruined my dining experience. I paid to enjoy a meal, not to leave covered in mosquito bites. The restaurant should take this issue seriously and implement proper pest control immediately. Until this problem is resolved, I cannot recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly will not be returning. read more

The waitstaff and hostess are always friendly and welcome. the problem is the food, it will always just be okay. The first problem is that it is half italian/half greek. you need to stick to one and perfect it. The bread basket was pretty good, came with a little hummus and oil, and a tomato/oil spread. but everything is just okay. I had a greek salad that was $27 + $8 for chicken. The chicken is okay, kind of dry. Some of the olives were pitted, the tomatoes weren't that flavorful.. We had the pasta fagioli soup is actually pretty tasty, its a light pink broth instead of the usual red. Is it Greek? Is it Italian? It's delicious! Great selection of Italian and Greek food topped with great food and good portions. The place can get loud and hot if it's packed. And getting a table can be tricky so make sure you make a reservation, specially if you are trying to go on busy weekends. Service was very good and the food was brought out in a timely manner. Came here for some midday snacks after a little afternoon shopping. We ordered mojitos, charcoal grilled shrimp, tuna tartare, and a half dozen oysters. The oysters were by far my favorite item - they did not need any sauces or embellishments. Slurped them right down! My only regret was not ordering a dozen. The shrimp were delicious and the tuna tartare as well. I didn't get my server's name this time, but he was wonderfully kind and attentive. We sat outdoors under one of the many umbrellas (thank God) and they also had fans going which made for a fantastic outdoor dining experience. Would come again for sure. read more

We probably sat in the best table in the restaurant! Corner table for 8 people (the only thing missing was the white tablecloth instead we had placemats. Also the dishes on the table were beautiful but we wished we could have eaten on them instead they brought out boring white plates and no bread small plates. The salmon arugula carpaccio for appetizer was unusual in that the salmon was colorless and had a fishy smell but the arugula salad was good (expensive at $24.95). The Avgolemono soup ($9.50) could have been larger and lemonier. The agnolotti was tasty ($25.95) and for dessert the Galaktoboureko was good but not warm enough ($10.00). The service was not very efficient, and we had to call maître d' to get a waiter to take our food order. read more

I'm surprised to see I hadn't done a review of Sea Grill before. It's been a while, but we've been to this location multiple times and at least once to the North Miami Beach location. We even coordinated a New Year's Eve dinner here with friends. We Loved everything, every time. The quality of the food and the flavors were always Great. The Greek salad was amazing. We were surprised when we arrived yesterday to find a completely different vibe. The Mediterranean menu had merged with the Italian menu next door and the whole vibe was different. It seems they are just doing too much, and the Greek cuisine is not the focus anymore. The place has now doubled in size and is very busy. There is a lot of staff, but the service is very basic. We had the grilled Halloumi cheese which was hard, chewy, and salty. The fried calamari and Zucchini was okay, but not great. Nonetheless the grilled prawns were Good and my husband had the Filet Mignon that was also Good. I also had the grilled asparagus which was Good, but came before the main meal and was returned cold to the table. The Jazmine rice was cold and hard. The lemon potatoes were Good. My Overall we were disappointed with this visit because it was soooo different from our prior experiences. read more

During a trip to Miami, my cousin and I ended up going to Sea Grill for lunch after walking around the Shops at Merrick Park. This restaurant is a little upscale. We decided to sit outside as the weather was perfect during the time. I ended up ordering the grilled shrimp and got potatoes and broccolini as my sides. Everything was delicious and I didn't feel overly heavy after the meal. Our server ended up bringing us some sort of liquor at the end. My family and I have been clients of this restaurant for years. We never had a problem, food was always good. Yesterday around 5 PM my husband and I went for an early dinner. The place was almost empty. We order a bottle of wine and a dozen of Oysters to start. Talking to our server we realized he did not understood we wanted the oyster gratin , not row. So we ask him to change the order, we saw him approach the manager and explain the situation. The reaction of the manager, very open for everyone to see , was waiving his hands and arms in a crazy reaction, a clear body language of a person who is very angry and bore with his work and dealing with customers. We told our server ( who was so embarrassed for the situation) that we saw his rude behavior and he did apologize the rest of the night. The server did what he could , after all the manager is his boss. The manager never came to our table. He even gave us the angry look when we left. We ask for his name. Nobody said anything just that he is from Nicaragua. So we left thinking that everyone is scare of him. This review is for everybody that has business and care for his customers. While dining here, multiple cockroaches came out from where the napkins and utensils were kept. I immediately informed the manager, but he barely acknowledged my concern and brushed me off. At the end of the meal, I asked why he never came by to follow up or check on us after such a serious situation. His response was that he "can't really do anything about it" and that he's "doing 50,000 other things" so he can't attend to everything at once. I explained that, at the very least, an apology and concern for the customer should be shown. Instead, I was given a $200 gift card -- which I was not looking for. I wanted accountability, not compensation. This was unsanitary, dismissive, and unprofessional. I will never return and absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Excellent service and food, very nice Ambience. My friend and I came for som drinks and apetizers and all was great. We order, Spanakopita, Fried Calamari, Fried Zuchini and Eggplant and Keftedes all was serve fresh, quick and delicious. Prices are good, about $30 to $50 per person. Ohh and the Bread is fantastic!! Will be back for sure to try others in menu. Parking is available on street but mall parking is not bad, $4 1 hour but up to 3 hours is $6. Worth the walk around the mall and eat. read more

I somehow managed to sleep on this review from when I originally started. Shame on me for slacking! We went here for dinner on a Saturday many moons ago, and wow were they on it. I was really impressed with everything from the food, to the cocktails, and the service as well. We liked it so much that this place has become a somewhat regular date night rotation. I always forget to take photos at this place because when the food comes I forget about the world around me and just want to eat everything straight away. Recommendations: EVERYTHING! But seriously, here are some personal faves: Shrimp saganaki (appetizer) Fried zucchini and eggplant Clams Oreganato Sea Grill Pikilia Calamari For desserts, last time I was there they were out of my fave (Galaktobureko) so we had the Milopita which was quite good. I think their baklava was good as well but have been a little less fresh than I'm used to (I blame the humidity). Yes it is pricey but I think is worth it. When you come in... you feel great vibes from it's ambiance and staff. Seagrill is always spotless and you could almost feel the luxury that the interior decor offers, if that is even a thing. Now let's talk about the menu... the menu has a little bit for everyone, white meat, red meat and excellent seafood. Here at Seagrill we have tried quite a few things and they all have been very tasty. Grilled octopus is delicious, the marouli salad is tangy and vibrant, the lamb youvetsy (lamb shank) is so good it feels like a comfort dish. To me the star of the show here is always the seafood... grilled branzino is tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Always a great choice. Last time I had some oversized prawns that were delicious... I think they weren't on the menu. Fried turbot is huge... good enough for 3 people with a couple of sides. For dessert we always have the Greek yogurt which is so creamy and luscious. Also, take advantage of a great wine list with options for every budget. All very nice wines. Our server Jorge was so helpful and attentive whether it was making sure everything from the kitchen came as expected or simply refilling waters and or wine glasses. Service goes above expectations. We had dinner last night at SEA GRILL, FIRST while being seated we were not greeted just asked " where do you want to sit " we waited a long period before our order was taken we ordered SAGANIKI the chese was 1/4" thick covered in bad oil we sent it back then ordered CALAMARI it came cold (we ate it anyway ) I had carbonara it was AWFUL , greasy with oil or butter . We also had the GNOCCI which are supposed to be light little pillows ,THEY were like raw pizza dough balls. leaving the door threshold's to the outdoor dining area were dirty and beat up safety tape ripped up. The menu is too large and confusing with Greek and ITALIAN foods I am Italian and know GOOD Italian this is not the place to get it , WAIT STAFF IGNORED US , WAY OVER PRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET. The lamb chops were requested to be medium cooked. Appetizers were flavorful. Veggie for main dish was overcooked, green beans. The lamb chops arrived overcooked. Server was notified after, we probably left half of it because it was overcooked. This was addressed with the manager, and they did mothing. The manager didn't even come to the table to address our concern, NADA. In this upscale restaurant, better service is expected and the manager DID nothing, it was more the server apologizing. Nice place ! We decided to stop by this lovely place and it was a really good idea. Food was great, especially their Greek salad! Loved it! We ordered some plates to share which was interesting because we had at least 5 plates and all of them was delicious. My highlight goes to their service.
