Food: 2/5 The food was bland and underwhelming. I won't be coming back because everything was just okay. The chips and salsa were just okay. The taco salad came without dressing and was difficult to eat and under-seasoned. The tacos looked ok but again, the flavors were underwhelming. The quesadillas were good, but now worth coming back for on their own. The rice was somehow undercooked and also mushy. Perhaps they were having an off night, but I won't be back to find out. Such a bummer since the vibes were so chill and the service was good. Service: 4/5 Maria was a good server. She kept the beverages filled and was able to meet our requests with a reminder or two. Ambiance: 4/5 Casual food with a laid back atmosphere. The ambiance was actually he best pet of the experience. Clean, friendly vibes. Kids movie playing in the background. In a town that is literally oversaturated with hispanic places (I should know, my friend did a study), what makes Casa Martinez so special? That, my friends, is between God and this town's voracious appetite for beans and rice. It might be the fact that my parents still love getting takeout from here even though we've been eating it since I couldn't put one foot in front of the other without falling and bawling like a baby (I was a baby). Casa is a family favorite we have been going here for quite a few years. A family owned and operated business. The food here is always very good and they offer a great variety. Their lunch menu is excellent. My favorite is the Lardeo with shrimp lots of food. The Sopapillas covered with cinnamon and sugar are great! You can ask for strawberry sauce or honey for them as well. I have never had a bad meal here. Casa is a local favorite and worth a try. read more

One of a kind, this well established family owned restaurant has been with the community for years and won't disappoint for an eat in occasion, family or a quick lunch! When I was taking classes next door at WSU, I'd always smell this delicious food and envy the families heading inside Casa Martinez. Today I finally got to be one of those people, & we stopped here for lunch.. My family ordered the #3 taco plate lunch special; 2 fried flour tacos, cheese/refried beans,& Mexican rice, except me. I ordered the Mexican pizza. Which is basically a tostada without lettuce. My pizza was half the size of the plate, it was way more food than I could eat and had to take it home. Everyone was happy with their meal. 2 tacos don't seem like much, but they're filled with meat and with the sides, it's all very filling. The meat wasn't very seasoned. My father compared it to a Nuway sandwich- only in a taco shell with taco toppings, but it's exactly what I would expect from a mom and pop Tex-Mex place, and reminded me of the Mexican food places we use to eat at when I was a kid. Even my grandmother who can't eat a whole lot, or anything with spice for that matter was able to enjoy her meal. We'll be back. read more

We are so happy to finally find what is arguably the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Our server was Enrique and he is a pro at serving. The restaurant was packed because their food is excellent. There were two hostess and two servers. They never stop working. Our server took care of everything and intuitively knew when and what each of us needed before we asked. We were a party of seven, and four of us ordered the B-1 burrito, one taco bowl, one kids meal hamburger, and Chile relleno meal. The chips and salsa were outstanding and we knew that the food would be good. We received our meals hot and for those who ordered spicy, the meal was perfectly seasoned. The restaurant had 62 people in it and those who had to wait only waited about 5 mins before getting seated. This restaurant knows how to take care of its customers. We wont go anywhere else for great Mexican cuisine. read more

My roommate and I made a special trip down from Wichita to eat the #NationalTacoDay special. Very much wish we had NOT done so. Taco meat, of which there was an over-abundance, was a crumbly greasy mess that soaked thru the shells & had zero seasoning or flavor; salsas were more tomato sauce than not & bland; guacamole was just mashed avocado. Chips were mixed bag of greasy & non. Waiter was absent-minded and all wait staff was overwhelmed. No busboys. Definitely will not recommend nor return. read more

I usually enjoy the food and quick service at this place but after my dinner there last night I will not be returning. We're in a serious covid spike but I didn't see a single mask. The cashier was obviously sick as she readily admitted. So what is she doing there? Why doesn't she have a mask? Why is she interacting with people 3 feet away? There's no room to move when you pay your bill so you're stuck with whatever germs are being spewed by her. If you're a covid denier go, take a deep breath and bon appetite.
