I've never tried their nachos as an appetizer before. I'd highly recommend them as a meal. They were delicious and made four meals.!!!

we used to go to this Carlos every Sunday. but the food had gone downhill so badly that we are going elsewhere. today I decided to order DoorDash delivery. enchiladas San Carlos, refried beans and cilantro rice. with a side of guacamole and of cheese dip. it was delivered in a timely fashion. but my enchilada was half frozen. AND I DO MEAN FROZEN). the beans and rice were cold. the guacamole was fresh out of the freezer or refrigerator. it was so cold I couldn't eat it. (its sitting here warming up to room temp). I didn't try the cheese sauce but the bowl it was in wasn't hot. the salsa was as it should be. and the chips were OK. [[HIGHLIGHT]]THIS USED TO BE A GOOD RESTAURANT. I ordered the Fajita Chicken Bowl but with steak instead of chicken and OMG the steak was so good!! I had to give my compliments to the chef but I'm socially awkward so I forgot to ask his name!! ‍ But I told him it was amazing lol also I wanted to tell him he reminded me of Lip from Shameless. Such a cool vibe. Anyway the service was great our waitress was super nice and I loved loved loved the food. The blackberry lemonade was amazing but can't top the steak WOW. This is my favorite location in the Wichita area! The staff is warm, friendly, & attentive. My fav thing to get is the brisket taco and cilantro lime rice. Thursday's they have $3 jumbo house margaritas and this location makes them the best. Definitely worth driving to this location over the others. Better bang for buck. Other locations they use too much sour mix. This one is balanced so well. Pretty much you can sub or add brisket to anything they have. It's tender, juicy, and flavorful. I highly recommend the brisket of anything here. On the lighter side menu, the chicken tortilla soup and quesadillas are great. Of course, I add brisket. It's very filling and I always take the soup home and reheats well. I have never finished my plate here! read more

seated right after we arrived around 1 PM on a Sunday. slow to get to us after seated, but the server, Quentin at NE Wichita Carlos, was great. complaint--the enchiladas are at least 1" shorter. Ordered takeout tonight for 6 people. We live 25 minutes from the restaurant. We asked for substitutions on 2 of the meals. WaItress was friendly and started helping us quickly. Which we appreciated since I was meeting my husband in his work lunch break and we didn't have a lot of time. We ordered the fajita trio and shared it. It comes with the traditional fare of steak, shrimp and chicken along with sautéed onions and peppers. The chicken seemed to be a tad too salty but otherwise everything was very good. Our waitress was quick to refill our complimentary endless chips and salsa. We've ate at this location numerous times and will continue to do so. read more

Leaving a review here in hopes to help the restaurant do better and people going here. How can I put this? It is like Taco Bell, but in a restaurant form which tastes worse than Taco Bell and costa more. Both Taco Bell and this place are not real Mexican good (FYI). My husband and I love to eat here, so we go about once a week if we can. I am a fan of their Fajitas and everything else I have tried. Margaritas are good and they offer several flavor choices Staff was very friendly and helpful. I saw one fellow complained that they charged him for guacamole???? First off, I don't even want to give a 1 star. We walked in to get sat and DoorDash person came in to pick up an order, the hostess told us to hold on just a second, while she helped the DoorDash person, who walked in after us. Then she proceeded to walk around the restaurant, helping this DoorDash person while we're still standing there waiting to be seated. She helped the DoorDash person finally got us to a table and we sit there forever waiting for our server. We were a party of 3, while we were waiting for the server, the same hostess brought us 2 salsa's and chips and we asked for another salsa. The server finally showed up and took our drink orders. By the time we got our drinks (about 10 min) we were all finished with the chips and she said she would bring us some more. About 5 minutes later, she brought us salsa.. no chips. (This happened twice). After about 20-25 min, we got our food. I cut my burrito open and noticed it was completely wrong. Ordered a steak fajita burrito and got something with chicken. I had to flag down the server and she said the cook was new and that she would have them remake it. About 10 min later, she comes back and says they are completely remaking it and that they would take it off my check, which was nice and I appreciated it. After no lie.. like 30 minutes (other tables had ordered and got food in this time) they brought out my meal. By this time, the others at my table were completely finished so I requested a to-go container as we had already been there over an hour. After me having my food all in a to-go box for about 10 min, the server finally came over to ask if we were doing okay, and we asked for the check. She brought it out and my meal wasn't taken off, it was 50% off. So I had to wait again for her to come around and ask her about it and she finally got it removed. Then we noticed she put my drink on my friends ticket and didn't apologize, just said 'oh my bad' and again. Reprinted it. We were there over an hour and a half and they were not busy at all. The last few times I have been there, the service has been going down hill, but this last time...it was the worst I've ever experienced at any place. read more

Been going to this location off and on for years. The service and quality of food has been steadily declining. Tonight, my family and I sat and waited for almost 30 minutes before anyone helped us. We personally saw racial discrimination from the hostess towards another family. I would not recommend this location. Very disappointing.

My husband got some chips and salsa from there and the salsa tasted rotten. It didn't smell good either. I was unable to even eat it! I was very disappointed in this experience and I hope that this issue is resolved immediately! read more

The staff at this restaurant is SO amazing! We forgot to check if the refried beans were vegetarian until after the food was brought out, and when they said it wasn't, they re-made ALL our food for us with black beans instead. Much appreciated! read more

Ok. Let me start by saying that a name Carlos Okelley's does not make me think of good Mexican food. I was wrong. I came in from south Texas and know my tex mex and margaritas. Lime Margarita was very very good. Are usually hate mix. But this mix was perfect not too sweet or tart. And jumbo's on Thursday for three dollars. Who the hell does that? Awesome. I had the beef steak street tacos. I loved them. The seasoning was perfect. I couldn't believe the place wasn't packed at 8:30-9:00 pm. LINDA!!! Bartender Linda was very cool and attentive. No matter how much talking I did she did not blow me off, and kept up with all other orders. And I don't mean to leave out the hosting staff. They were very nice walking and leaving.
