Mmmmm!!! I love their ravioli. In fact, this is the only place I've found I like it at all! Ever. Anywhere! They have a great salad though if you are expecting field greens, take yer self elsewhere. The rolls are good too as is the garlic bread but if you eat garlic bread and rolls both, which you will if you order them both because they are fabulous, you won't have room for your ravioli! Visited Casa Mia last Friday night with a deal ($13) for one small pizza and two appetizers or desserts. Really liked the inside of this spot, and it was pretty busy which was a good sign. This used to be an old gas station, and the outdoor eating area looks to have been the garage- definitely redone, but still pretty cool. Were told to sit wherever we'd like so we chose a booth near a window. Server was very friendly, visited us often to check in. Ordered the potato truffle oil pizza, which includes onions. I don't like onions, so I asked for half the pizza without. Also ordered the artichoke-some-sort-of-cheese fondue, which comes with flat bread. Final selection was the chocolate filled chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Food arrived fast, and app was pretty good. Cheese had a very distinct taste- super rich. I really liked the flat bread, fondue was okay but not my favorite. Pizza looked awesome upon arrival, but smelled awful! Something between the truffle oil and onions was not right. My friend and I ate one-two pieces each and put the rest of the pizza (over half) in a box in a corner of the table due to the smell. This was my first try with truffle oil, and I don't think I'm a fan. Would love to try other options though, because the crust and cheese were yummy. Chocolate chip cookie definitely made the meal for us. Served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, definitely enough for two people. Similar to the pizookie at BJ's Brewery..... it was sooooo good! HIghly recommend that dang thing. I've eaten here a lot in the 20+ years I've lived in the area. My favorite thing on the menu is the pizza. Great crust and some interesting toppings. I especially like the pepperoni. Smoky with a bit of a kick. And their specialty pizzas are great as well. I don't think you can go wrong with one of these. Have tried a few pasta dishes and like the tortellini half & half and the chicken cacciatore. A very solid all around choice and it's nice to support local business. read more

3 words: gluten free pasta. Slight caveat - apparently they don't always have the fresh stuff in stock, so wouldn't hurt to call first. That said, if you're glutarded like me, eating pasta at a restaurant is a Pretty Big Deal so Casa Mia gets 5 stars just for offering it. GF pasta with half meat sauce and half basil pesto = happiness. They also have GF pizza crust, but I tend to have issues with cross-contamination in restaurant environments, so I haven't tried it. If you're not super-sensitive to gluten, I'm sure it would be a good option. Yes, the salad is simple, but it's their signature salad and it's delicious. read more

But the reason I'm sharing my thoughts with Yelpers is to tell you that I used to take my car for repair at Art's Texaco, the very same building as the Plum St. Casa Mia. I remember seeing my car up on the lift. So I've always wondered if somehow that car-lift is still there, and if the staff can push a button and have mis-behaving diners elevated . . . There was complimentary warm bread brought to the table after we ordered. What we ordered: Roasted asparagus starter $ 6.50 This was alright for a low carb starter. Asparagus weren't over cooked. Prosciutto was nice and crisp NY steak with Fettuccini $19.50 This was listed as a house specialty so I expected something amazing, so I was disappointed. The steak was a good size but an oven baked, barely seasoned limp piece of meat. The pasta was ok the sauce lacked flavor. The table had salt pepper and parmesan on it, that did help. Side Caesar $ 3.00 Very tiny and had been sitting in the dressing too long. If we ever come back I will order the dressing on the side. Small chicken and 3cheese pizza $ 13.50 This is what saved this review from being 2 or 3 stars. The pizza should be listed as their house specialty. This really is where they shine. The small was a good size for one person. A good balance of bread, cheese, and topping. Artisan in flavor. Service: on a rainy Friday night we were at a table in less then 10 minutes. Our waiter seemed over worked, but he kept the drinks filled and updated us on our order, bit without hovering. Great service. Conclusion: ignore the pasta it is not much better then buying jarred sauce on noodles, ignore the house specials they are NOT special. Stick to the pizza. read more

I visited with coworkers during lunch and our server was Linda. It wasn't too busy as it was early for lunch. I felt like I got individual attention but a coworker said the service could have been a little more attentive. I was kinda disappointed that they couldn't do manicotti and tortellini together on a sampler plate. Linda brought me red sauce when I realized the manicotti came with white sauce. My coworkers ordered the risotto, pizza, and lasagna. Everyone enjoyed their food. Really recommend the red sauce. read more

That is a restaurant 101 fail. And the place had 10 people in it. Then the waitress walks over to another table of patrons that walked in a few minutes after us to take their order. We walked out. Again without the hostess acknowledging us. Even though we were in clear view of her. Then went to a crowded Thai joint down the street that acknowledged us and brought us water within 30 seconds and took our order within 2 minutes. I love Casa Mia. From the sweet atmosphere, to the homemade dressing (which I buy a bottle for home at each visit), to the kind wait staff (albeit somewhat ditzy at times), to the anchovies. Casa Mia actually does make me feel at home. (for the language inept: Casa Mia = My House) The noise level gets pretty high, I'll admit, with the cement floors and all. And the bathrooms remind me of elementary school and tend to make me believe elementary school age children have been in them alone, whether this is the case or not. But the sausage (my kids favorite pizza) is unique and delicious, as is their antipasto salad (I'd venture to label *awesome*) and, surprisingly, their side salad. Although, I wouldn't recommend the all-you-can-eat spaghetti, unless your are mindlessly hungry and don't care too much for quality. Now, it is a pizzaria, after all and the pizzas are very good, although not the best I've ever had. But the crust is soft and sweet, the sauce is tart and chunky (the way I like it) and the toppings are not overdone, but just the right amount. The best thing about Casa Mia is that it isn't a cookie cutter pizza place like all the other places. It's just good food on their terms, and even if you don't prefer it, you still have to admit it's pretty good food. read more

My girlfriend, my good friend and I were looking for a quick place to sit down and eat. Looked this place up on the maps and decided to try it out. I was absolutely impressed with our server. Completely on top of his game, super polite, and knowledgeable of the foods. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud. We came in around 5 pm on a Sunday and there wasn't any wait time to be seated. The bread they served was better than any Olive Garden I have been to. My girlfriend and I wanted to try their pizza and ravioli so we ordered both. I could not be happier about their pizza. It exceeded my expectations by a mile. The ravioli was very good as well but I was definitely more drawn to the pizza. We were very grateful to have ordered the large to take back home with us and have some more later on. Cannot wait to come back again. read more

The food at Cada Mia was merely average, so I'm having a hard time understanding the glowing reviews. One of us had mushroom risotto, and it was watery and unappetizing. The other had manicotti, which was merely okay. Maybe we should've stuck with pizza. Service was on the slow side. Worse yet, our waiter seemed judgmental. He tried to clear our plates twice when we weren't finished, and then acted shocked that we ate nearly all of our average-sized portions. Fortunately, the prices were reasonable. We will probably give Casa Mia another try to see whether we just visited on an off night. read more

This used to be a great place and I have been going there for at least 15 years. Prices have gone way up (they charge for the salad, give you one roll and charge you for more when they used to include the salad and rolls). Entrees are jacked up price wise too. Food has become mediocre at best. The waitress tonight actually had the balls to ask if the tip was on the table and how much it was when I was paying with my card and wrote "on the table" in the tip section. Really? This is the lowest review I've given a restaurant yet but I have great reasons. I came in and was greeted within a minute from my arrival. Just after the greeting the hostess disappeared behind the bar in conversation with a fellow employee. A couple of minutes later and I was asked to follow and got seated. I was brought water and since I had already perused the menu I was ready to order. The waitress stopped me and said "actually, Kathy is your waitress and she'll be by shortly to take your order". So, I waited for Kathy for 13 minutes from that exchange. I had asked to be seated for two and I think she was confused about why I was sitting alone. I want to think she was waiting for my dinner companion to arrive but why wouldn't the other waitress not tell Kathy I was ready to order and not make me wait? The menu is entirely too dependent on meat. Just when I thought I had found a dish that would be satisfying it turns out to have meat (minestrone). Traditionally minestrone is vegetarian with a bean broth base, however, Casa Mia serves one with what I think is pork :{ Finally out of desperation I ordered their only meatless salad, it came covered in a very cheep type of shredded mozzarella and probably the least appetizing olives in existence: canned black olives. If you decide to pick off the toppings you are left with an equally cheap salad: iceberg lettuce. My iceberg lettuce salad was not enough to cull my hunger so I decided to order the garlic bread. As the waitress sets the plate down she says, "I noticed you are not eating meat, the marinara sauce has meat in it". But then she offered that their pizza sauce didn't. Ok, I said, may I exchange the marinara for pizza sauce? She said yes! I didn't want to pay extra. Finally, I could at least eat bread. Agh. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are 1.hungry, 2.Vegetarian, 3. Vegan, 4. Trying to eat healthy. This is your Standard American Diet establishment. read more

I know it's pretty crappy of me to come on here and leave a bad review, but I am a shy girl and really have a hard time telling a waitress the food sucks...Everybody has been there before. My boyfriend and I stopped at Casa Mia today on our way back from Seattle - we were starving and found what we thought would be a great little place. It looked awesome inside. Great idea - they bring you your soda (or whatever drink you get) but bring an additional jug so you can pour more yourself...rather than waiting for a refill every time. Loved that. Garlic bread was delicious, marinara and alfredo sauce that came with it were house, and just amazing...cute place, cute style, comfortable and no waitress nagging you and upselling you. I ordered a calzone...wanted the fettucine alfredo, and now I'm still really upset that I didn't go with it. My calzone was pretty repulsive. First of all, it was hard from being overbaked...it cracked when I cut it with my knife. When I did cut it open, a cheese like substance oozed out, but it was liquid. It wasn't edible, I needed a spoon, it was so runny. I wanted to cry...considering I paid 10.99 for the thing. The worst part is that the bottom was cold...whatever sloshy cheese stuff it was. I've never had a calzone like this..I doubt it was "traditional" because it was horrid. I honestly had a hard time telling the waitress it was gross because she was such a sweetheart and I knew it wasn't her fault. So, I just bared with it...our tab was $40 including a tip...but I felt pretty ripped off in the end. I'm glad this was just a quick stop in a little city because I would never ever go here again or recommend it to anybody. read more

Holy mother of god, no self respecting Italian would eat let alone serve burned minestrone, but this soup prepared at Casa Mia is a dark brown carbon tasting gooey mess, accessorized with butter and a glorp of pesto. I tried to eat but could not, so nasty. Served with a sad salad of chopped iceburg with olives and mozzarella. I paid the extra for shrimp and ate that with a cracker. Possibly the most uninspired meal I have ever eaten, and I have eaten refried beans from the can. Honestly, coming from Chicago and being Italian, I have some experience under my belt. I know I can be picky but this place blew me away in a terrible way... We got the black pepper chips with the dipping sauce of some kind- they definitely just served us some sort of bagged chips, nothing homemade there. Next we got the salad that goes along with the lasagna meal, it was shredded iceberg lettuce, about a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, canned black olives and the dressing of your choice. The salad was drowned in cheese. Weird! We got our entrees, a lasagna and a plate of the spicy chicken Cesar salad. Oh dear. The lasagna tasted like chef Boyardee and I'm pretty sure someone was asleep when they assembled it. The salad was greasy "spicy chicken" on top of pretty dry romaine. Oh yeah, and there was some sort of greasy "buttered" French bread with dill a top it. If you want Italian food, please go to a place that uses real ingredients. I would recommend Mercado, Trinacria, or even taking the drive to Amore in Aberdeen. HONESTLY, living in a place with so much access to affordable farm fresh food, I have no patience for restaurants that snub their community of farmers and seem to order their entire menu straight off of the Cisco truck. The food is average or even below average. A few people at our table didn't even finish their meals or take home leftovers because the food was so "meh." For a vegetarian, Casa Mia has very few options. The soup is made with animal broth and the creamy sauces are made with animal rennet. The salad is way overpriced ($8 for shredded iceberg lettuce with canned or frozen mini shrimp dumped on top) and the gluten-free pizza crust was really dry and hard to chew. The potato-onion truffle pizza is bland and in desperate need of some spices. I've been here twice for meeting/conference purposes and both times I've left unimpressed. I have never been to a Casa Mia, as I am from out of town. I figured since there are a couple around they must be good? The waitstaff was really nice and I was seated and assisted right away. The side salad with house Italian dressing and the bread were both delicious. So far so good. Unfortunately the spaghetti was terrible. It was bland and I suspect it came from a can. To be fair the price was very cheap and maybe people forgive the taste for the price. I wont be back as I would rather pay a bit more and have a better product. read more

My most favorite Italian food ever! Whenever I come, I can't help but drop at least $30-$45 per appetizer, meal, drinks and dessert. I absolutely love their pasta. It is so creamy and rich. I wish I could recommend something specific. But I absolutely love everything I have tried here. I'm a huge fan, even the atmosphere is really cool and the service is very great. I lost my wallet one night hat I came and I was so embarrassed. On their website and their front door, it said they were open to 11pm. We drove to them specifically for their happy hour (9pm-close) and arrives by 10:30pm. They turned us away with no apology, saying, "we normally close at 10:30." Change your posted hours or don't turn away paying customers. Yum! I had my doubts but boy was this a great place. They bring you bread and butter to start and it was warm and delicious. I had the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. It was great. Not impressed at all. Came in and waited over 5 min (tons of tables open and they were definitely fully staffed) to be seated. When we were, the gal took our menus, set them on a table, and then pointed from across the restaurant at where we were supposed to sit. Awkwardly we sat down & she then asked us our drink order (cut us off and went to get someone else to take our drink order). When my glass of wine came, there were lipstick marks all around the glass. It took almost 30 minutes from arrival to get our drinks. We sent it back and left. We love coming to Casa Mia. The service is consistently better than most Olympia restaurants. It's old school heavily Americanized Italian food. There are always old movies playing. It's a great place for kids. Get the pizzas, chicken with three cheese, white truffle potato, fig and prosciutto, they are all good. get the ravioli, get the spicy chicken Caesar. Never order the risotto, do not order the steak and don't expect the salad to be anything more than perfection, piles of black olives and mozzarella over iceberg. read more

I decided to check this place out since I drive past it all the time. We walked in and were ignored for a few minutes as some people checked out, and we watched two waitresses chatting. Finally I caught one of the waitresses' attention and she told us to sit anywhere. Why bother putting up a sign that tells us to wait to be seated, if you are not going to make people wait to be seated? We ordered the pizza sole which was delicious even though it was vegetarian. It is like a Margherita pizza with balsamic sprayed on the basil. My friend wanted to have it with their house made pepperoni but the waitress was reluctant to do so because the vegetarian pizza won pizza contests in that way on its own and she didn't want to have us put meat on the pizza or alter it in any way. We compromised by ordering the pizza sole with pepperoni on half. It was delicious that way, by the way. 4 stars for good food and service. There is plenty of parking if you go after 1 p.m. for lunch. They also have happy hour from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Every day. $4.00 Bellinis and $3 house wines! read more
