We go for the pizzas! No one makes anything like the Chicken Strada that we have found. If my wife and I want a delicious pizza that is different from anything else - this is what we get. Also ordered chicken parm with side of spaghetti. Soooo bad. The spaghetti had no flavor and was over cooked. Tried adding salt and pepper but it was still bad. The chicken parm was not fresh. After decades of patronage I won't be back. I was served the worst plate of spaghetti I've ever had. I only had two bites. I wasn't going to say anything but when the waiter asked if there was something wrong with it, I said yeah it's not good. He apologized and took the plate. He returned and stated he brought it to his manager and the manager said there was nothing wrong with it. Well apparently the manager is a complete moron and has no business being in charge of a restaurant. The spaghetti was way over done, was probably boiling in water for over an hour based on the consistency. There was no sauce. Only a puddle tomato water under the spaghetti. Ha and boiled flavorless gray meatballs thrown on top is just a slap in the face. The waiter did his job and received a 20% tip, but based on the managers reaction I won't be back. Decided to go to Casa Mia on a locals recommendation. We went on a Friday and were happy there was no wait. Got our table and we were greeted with menus and asked about drinks. While we waited we looked over the menu. I was told about the potato and truffle pizza. Humm potato's on pizza crust finished with truffle oil. Also with Gorgonzola and Mozzarella cheese. So the server Chris was awesome, he recommended if I get the pizza to add Bacon! He said he tried it and liked it. So what said go for it. We also ordered a calzone. Pizza was awesome as it needs the bacon. The calzone was huge. Both were very good and we had leftovers. The atmosphere is very casual and laid back and not rushed. Chris is awesome! Really sad I wanted to love this place because I moved here from Seattle and food options in this area aren't my fave. The two different times I ordered the Potato Truffle Pizza it was outstanding. Same with the Pesto Pullapart Bread. Third time is not a charm...The pizza has so much extra cheese it's a soggy, mushy and a gross mess. Tons of Alfredo sauce on it too it's terrible. Hardly any potato as well nothing like the past two times I ordered it. Throwing it away can't be saved. And I thought that WAS, past tense, the best pizza in Puyallup. 3rd time coming here, thought I wrote a review earlier about this place but definitely needed to make sure I did this time. This place is amazing. We can here a few months ago, and got the meatballs and bread for appetizers. Both were excellent, so we ordered some Casa Mia special and the three cheese, and both had great flavor. We also split some pasta, which included the blackened chicken and the terra mare penne. Both had great flavor, great spice and were pretty good portion sizes. Of all the places we've come to in Puyallup, this has been by far the best. We can't wait to go back, which might be again tomorrow night! Service has always been great, we've been seated right away and our food has come out quickly. I don't know why this place isn't busier, but it absolutely should be and hopefully more people find this gem! read more

Service was phenomenal. I wish I got the waitress' name, but we were there 10/28/2025 about 5pm. She was helpful, fast, & very accommodating. Then the food came. It was fresh, hot, & delicious. The chef was also very on point, handling orders immediately, with expertise. Their rolls came directly out of the oven, with freshly grated parmesan on top. Im giving 2 stars because the service was at least decent. But that's where it ends. There are 2 Chiantis on the menu. My husband asked which one was bolder. The waiter clearly knew zero about wine or the menu. His response was the Chianti is definitely best. We chose one and he quickly came back saying they apparently nixed the Chianti from the menu. Its an Italian restaurant why would you do that? They suggested a red blend so we said fine. Terrible wine. Sweet, not in any way what we asked for. Moving on we ordered the artichoke fundido. It came at the same time as dinner so that was a bummer. But we didn't eat it anyways. It came with a small pizza dough covered in cheese. It was nearly white, doughy, and looked like a frozen pizza that had not been cooked thoroughly. The dip was a soupy nasty creation that was unlike any artichoke dip I have ever had. Dinner salads were plates of romaine covered with an absurd amount of black olives and shredded cheese. Nothing else. Bizarre. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs. It was ok. Nothing special but decent. I ordered one of the specials with chicken, prosciutto, and leeks in a cream sauce. This actually had a good flavor but the sauce was thin and there was so much so it was more like soup. They brought rolls out with dinner. Again, I have never seen dinner rolls rather than a French bread served so that was odd. But these again were not even browned. They were a sickly white color, covered in grated cheese which never melted as they were cold. I took one bite, it was a glob of heavy, under risen, under cooked "bread". The ambiance in the place is greatly lacking. There was condensation so thick on every window it was clear they were lacking ventilation. I had this delivered via DoorDash. It's been a while I guess since I have eaten there. Tortellini 1/2 red and 1/2 white sauce. Pasta was not even Al dente it was hard. The pasta used to be much smaller. I believe there was 8 total pieces of pasta. No where near enough sauce. My husbands dinner was Lasagna, good lord. Absolutely terrible. 4 large ribbons of pasta. No meat at all. The bread is terrible! I also ordered a salad with Italian dressing. The dressing was just olive oil. We've had excellent pizza here in the past, so we were pretty disappointed when the toppings were not even close to evenly distributed and the crust was so soggy that we could not pick up the pizza and had to eat everything but the edge with a fork. The flavors of the toppings were good. read more

They were dishonest about my order. when I came in and asked for my order, they were not ready. The cook even gave me "oh, shit" face and clearly started to cook the pizza. The cashier said " a couple of minutes'". Waited and more. Then they were saying "I don't know what's going on. We screwed up orders..". Then, I talked to them asking if they screwed up my order or not. Pretty much gave me BS. Finally he brought " my orders" but missing a pizza that the cook just put the oven. I don't know how this place is still in business. Finally went here after having not so good food at the other chain locations. This is nothing even comparable to the original in Hoquiam, WA. Nothing about it taste the same. Pizza tasted like cafeteria food, house salad was romaine instead of iceberg and the pasta tasted like ragu sauce. We have gone here multiple times over the years and were happy with it in the past. Recently we have found the quality of their foods has gone way down hill. I had a wedge salad and had to cook the bacon because it was practically raw. The rest of the food all tasted like it came out of a prepackaged bag and was put in the microwave. Went in Monday and my boyfriend and I were the only two guests in the building. Our server turned on the football game, which was cool, then left us seated for well over ten mins without returning with any menu or anything at all. Just an empty table. We got up and left after hearing them talk about anything and everything followed by someone from back of house coming and sitting at a booth near us with the food he had made himself. As we left, our weird server just watched. He's the one with the arm tattoo trying to hold onto youth and his hairline still. Black hair, looks like Julian from the show Trailer Park Boys. Anyway, I figured it was the universe looking out. Probably wouldn't have been the most hygienic meal judging by appearances. A Mama Stortini's commercial came on the TV just before we left. Listen, have I had better Italian food than Casa Mia? The answer is yes BUT somehow I keep on coming back! Service is always great, even when they are short staffed. We always order the house side salad with ranch. It's really just lettuce, mozzarella cheese, black olives and drenched in ranch dressing. I honestly order the salad because of the ranch. They used to bring out a garlicky bread before but this time they brought out a basket of knotted bread with Parmesan cheese on it. It wasn't bad but I think it could stay in the oven a little longer. For the main dish my husband always gets the spinach and cheese ravioli and I get the chicken carbonara. They are both delicious. The carbonara is definitely an American style carbonara since it has bacon and comes in a pool of white sauce but it's good. Casa Mia serves tasty Americanized Italian food and I'm not mad at it. I was EXTREMELY HANGRY on our trip to the great Pacific Northwest and looking for an Italian food snack to appease the Daughter in anticipation of our evening seafood feast when we happened upon this little place enroute to our final destination. We like mom n pop places! The decor is quaint and we were hoping the food would reflect the homey feel and of the place! The menu has a really nice selection of authentic dishes including quite a few selections catering to the veggies in your group; with creative sauces above and beyond your everyday marinara.... Garlic butter sauce, sun dried tomato aoli, basil pesto, Marsala wine reduction. Wow. There was also an interesting Pizza assortment to include Gluten free crust for those with this sensitivity. I love the creativity of the menu and it has great potential for the right chef. We were a little disappointed tho. The salad was wilted, the food was really under seasoned. Not to mention the waitress was having a REALLY bad day and was yelling at All of the staff - and not too quietly. Needless to say the atmosphere was totally affected and we couldn't totally enjoy our food! Three stars for this time. If we are back in the area we would love to try it again! read more

To start, I have been eating at Casa Mia for 15+ years. I have always enjoyed wonderful service and food has been great. My family and I have recently been the Olympia location which was very good!!! Two nights ago, my husband and I came in around 7:20. We were seated and immediately asked what we would like to order. We had not even looked at the menu. We at least got drinks started and requested more time. Waitress came back in 2-3 minutes and we ordered our food. My husband got the wild mushroom ravioli and I ordered the Terra y Mare pasta. We both got house salads. Food was brought out within 10 minutes or so. We started eating and about 5 minutes later we're presented with our check (7:53) and was asked if I needed a box. I was still not even halfway through my meal! To be rushed out within a half hour of walking into the restaurant really put a damper on our night out. As for the food, my husband said that the wild mushroom ravioli was great. But my terra y mare was subpar. "Blackened" chicken that had no spices on it (looked like heated up Tyson chicken breast), pizza sausage crumbles (instead of fresh cut Italian sausage), boiled shrimp, and sauce so watery it didn't even stick to the pasta. I was frantically calling around to find a Mother's Day reservation when I found this restaurant on google maps. I called and was greeted on the phone by a very sweet woman who took my reservation. When I called later to confirm the reservation, she picked up the phone again and told me we were all good to go and that she would take care of us when we came in. When we walked in, we were greeted by another hostess who didn't seem to know about our reservation. That's when Mickey (please forgive me if I spelled her name wrong) came up saying, "Are you Madison? I've been waiting for you guys all weekend, I'm gonna take care of you tonight! I have your table all set up over here." She made our experience so incredible and really went above and beyond for our family dinner with great suggestions and witty banter. Overall, I'd say the food is a 8/10. The asparagus appetizer left a lot to be desired flavor wise, and my pasta was almost room temperature when it arrived (it was a very busy night) but it was still delicious and the pizza was to die for! Although the food was good two out of our 10 orders were incorrect. One was sent back to be corrected and they brought back out the exact same WRONG order. I'm not sure what the miscommunication was but it was very frustrating. I gave up and ate it because everyone else in our party had already started in on their dinner. We were double charged for something he said he made 2 of by mistake. That was no big deal but the waiter needs to remember what he is promising the guests. Will never return. Walked in for early dinner last Saturday at about 4 PM. We did not have much time so we ordered the minestrone soup & salad, thinking it would not take too much time to serve. We gave our order to Kristina, then the waiting began. After about 20 minutes with no food and no attention, I located Kristina and poltely asked her opinion about went we might expect to receive our food. She appreared defensive and unapologetic. We were told to expect the salad soon but the soup would take more time. The "salad" was nothing more than a plate of lettuce and olives covered with grated cheese. Approximately another 20 minutes past with nothing on our plate except an emply salad plate. No explanation nor apology offered, well beyond the amount of time we allotted to eat our meal and still no soup. Out of patience and time, We went to the register and told Kristina we have to leave so we offerred to pay for the salad. She then attempted to charge us for the soup AND salad although the soup was never served. We eventually resolved the bill dispute, paid for the salad and walked out. For us , the worst part was the uncaring attitude exhibited by both the waitress and the cook who also never apologized nor explained for not serving our soup. read more

Was here back in 2014 and was in the area so mom and I decided to stop in as she had never been there. The place was empty, this was at 4pm, and our server was KGO, is all the receipt says. I had the large spaghetti with meatballs at $17 and mom had the small Butternut squash past. Mom loved hers, like really loved it. Hers was $14.00 I, however, was not impressed with the spaghetti and meatballs. I remember it being good back in 2014, but I have been getting my spaghetti and meatballs fix at Vince's Italian in Federal Way, WA. Casa Mia does not even measure up anywhere as good as Vince's Italian as far as the spaghetti and meatballs go. It was bland and it definitely did not taste home made. The meatballs tasted weird to me as well. It was disappointing. The dinner salad was $3.50 and it had tons of mozzarella cheese, like too much, and black olives and that was about it. The Blue Cheese dressing was alright though. I have not had anything else at this restaurant, so I cannot comment. I will say if you are in Puyallup area you can do better for Italian by paying a bit more at Mama Sortini's. Or for a really good dinner side salad and pizza, head over to Sumner and visit Aversano's Italian. They are way better than Casa Mia. Sorry Casa Mia, I was not impressed. read more

I was dreaming of the sauce..finally made it back and it had no flavor..): We were seated by a teenager in a tshirt. The atmosphere was changed. It didn't feel like a cozy little Italian restaurant with the cook cooking. Food is subpar now, based on what my husband and I ate. I don't like to give bad reviews): I like to support local business but they really need to step it up. They are losing business by performing like a McDonalds and having such bland food. I am sorry. I hope this is a wake up call for the owners. I remember an older Italian lady dressed nicely the time before and the food so delicious I could not wait to come back. This has to be the worst "Italian" food I have had. I ordered Chicken Parmigiano and got a brick in a casserole dish with a separate plate of pasta with canned sauce. My wife ordered blackened chicken that came out looking like a bowl of bell pepper soup. We also ordered garlic bread which was merely a hoagie cut into pieces with butter. This was a really disappointing trip. It was slow as we got to there at the beginning of dinner service. Our first clue should have been when I asked the waitress for a recommendation and she followed her suggestion with "that's not too bad". My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs..if by "signature house meatballs" you mean the bag of frozen meatballs you buy at Walmart, then ok. The "classic" spaghetti sauce tasted like canned tomato paste mixed with water. I ordered an Italian BLT. This was served on dry, toasted hoagie bread and topped with wet iceberg lettuce and precooked microwave bacon. Someone else in our party ordered a wedge salad, which came out after her order of the "classic spaghetti" and was half a head of iceberg with 2 strips of precooked microwaved bacon, a sad dollop of I'm sure, lighthouse Caesar dressing and an entire jar of full sundried tomatoes. The pizza was ok. As for the ambiance, we were serenaded by cranked up mariachi music. Molto Autentico! Should have gone to Olive Garden. read more
