We stopped into Trackside after our very last time ever to the local water park. It was our first time here and we showed up at 8:30 PM. The sign on the door said that they were open until 9:00 PM so we figured we'd be met with the new, new. You know, sorry folks, we are closing in a half hour so we're only doing carryout orders but that was absolutely not the case! We were welcomed in a very warm fashion. There were even two more parties that came in after us and we were pleasantly surprised at how gracious the hosts were to everyone. Even when they knew that they would be open a bit later than closing. The waitress was very animated and took very good care of everyone with a great positive attitude and a friendly demeanor. She kept our drinks refilled and was very attentive to everyone in the restaurant. We ordered our food and were happy to find out that our granddaughter would be eating for free. Kids eat free on Mondays with the purchase of an adult entree. They even have a really cool option where kids can build their own pizza. It's called the pie up pizza. They brought our granddaughter a tray with the pizza dough, a bowl of sauce and her toppings on the side. She then was able to spread the sauce and add the toppings just the way she wanted. When she was ready, they took the pizza in back and cooked it for her. My wife and I both agreed that the flavor of our pizza was reminiscent of the old Pizza & Pipes restaurant that we grew up visiting and that nostalgia for us was priceless. We shared a chop salad, and everything was delicious. Next time we go out for pizza, I'm sure we are headed back to Trackside! This place has more value than most establishments in this day and age. It's really hard finding gluten-free items that taste good, especially when it comes to pizza. Trackside's gluten-free rosemary breadsticks and pizza was AMAZING. I went in expecting it to be like every other gluten-free pizza, and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was crispy, cheesy, and flavorful. The gluten-free crust was incredible and did NOT have that typical GF cardboard feel/taste. I also did not get sick, so no cross contamination! Our server (Mandy) was super cool and kind. She checked in frequently which I appreciated. It was pretty quiet and they had Christmas music playing. It was easy to talk and kinda relaxing/cozy. My friend and I decided to try this spot out because it's close to his work. We went on a Thursday afternoon around 6:30, and besides us, there was one other family there. During our visit, at least five takeout orders were picked up. We were seated quickly. The menus are elaborate and extensive, but we quickly decided on our pizzas. I ordered a 12-inch pizza with white sauce, chicken, and bacon, while my friend chose the 12-inch Grand Turk Pizza, essentially a supreme. It's more cost-effective to purchase a specialty pizza than to customize your own. My friend's specialty pizza, with nearly all the available toppings, was only $1 more than mine. I also got a Sprite for an additional $4. Before tip, I paid $32, and he paid $33. The pizza was nothing special. My pizza was overdone on one side, which is visible in the picture. Both our pizzas tasted lackluster, more like unseasoned toppings on toast. We joked that his pizza was basically a Caesar salad on cardboard. It also took nearly 30 minutes for our pizzas to come out which was longer than anticipated. For the price, it wasn't worth it. The customer service was mediocre; the server came around only once during our meal and spent most of the time flirting with a boy at the back counter. The checks had a convenient QR code for phone payment. There's ample parking beside the building, which features a nice mural. The area feels safe and charming. I wouldn't recommend this pizza spot. The pizza is simply edible, and even if I were in the area looking for something easy, I'd still avoid this place. read more

We live in Sumner and we absolutely love the Trackside, Sumner location! We have never had bad service or food. The pizza is cooked to perfection and their salads are amazing! We have three kids that love the pie up experience, making their own pizzas and shouting "pie up" to the very energetic staff! A group of 8 went to trackside today. The service was terrible. Didn't submit all of our orders. Most of us were done with our food before the other meals arrived. Then, we had to use the bathroom! OMG, both the men's and women's were gross!!! Men's toilet didn't flush . The woman's toilet rocked and there were no paper towels. When we reported this to the waitstaff it was apparent that they were aware of the problem, but said they just hadn't had a chance to get in there to clean them up!!! Had a disturbing (to me) incident as we walked into Trackside in Sumner today and thought to warn others. A dad was handing the waitress a chocolate milk back that had just been delivered to them with ants on them. And the most disturbing part is she casually explained they had a sugar ant infestation. You could tell the dad was concerned and the waitress was unfazed. Knowing she brought out a cup with more than one on there and she didn't care makes me wonder what is going on in our food we cant see. This pizza is incredible! I am usually not a pizza kind of person at all but heard really things about this place. We were in Sumner for the Rhubarb Festival, and we saw this place and were immediately tempted by the delicious pizza smells being emitted. When we entered, it was busy, but we liked the look of the space, and the food looked as delicious as it smelled. We waited a while for a table, but we didn't really mind. Unfortunately, we would wait even longer for a waitperson to acknowledge us once seated. And, to be frank, the service is definitely not the star of this show. Went to Trackside pizza on 12/10 for late lunch. Hubs ordered the meatball grinder and I ordered a pizza. My pizza was good. His sandwich was fine but there was way more bread than meatballs and cheese. What they served us looked nothing like the photo on the menu. For a $15 sandwich, that was pretty disappointing. If you are not a regular here you'll love it. However, we've been getting pizza here since they opened their 2nd location in Sumner, both via dine-in and delivery. For delivery orders they force you to add a plastic bag to your cart for 50 cents and you cannot complete your online order until you add it. Each of the past 3-4 orders I've placed for delivery I have paid for a bag and didn't receive one. I mean I know it's only 50 cents but...STUPID! Also, I don't want a plastic bag anyway! Also they've changed something. Ingredient quality has decreased. Our pizza this Friday had a chemical taste to it. We couldn't figure out if it was the sauce, cheese, or Canadian bacon. Also, I was the lucky recipient of a bone in my pizza. That was fun to crunch on! I don't know where it came from -- the sausage or the Canadian bacon -- but I put my plate down and stopped eating after that. We will be taking a sabbatical from this establishment. If you have read any of my reviews, it's clear I am on a never ending quest to find the best unsung eateries around. It's 2020 and I am still shocked by how many independent business owners don't truly manage their Yelp page. There are either not involved or the page itself is unclaimed. Trackside has been on my list for a long while. How could a place with Pizza that looks so amazing be so close to Seattle without most ever hearing about it. I'll tell you why. In my opinion, there are 3 kinds of pizza. Commercial i.e. Pizza Hut, Dominoes, etc. Gourmet, places like Serious Pie and True Italian restaurants and last, Independent Pizza like Inside Track. We had lunch and it was a decent deal. For $10 you get a personal pizza and what they call a salad. The salad was horrible, It was a handful of shopped greens flacked with mushrooms and olives. It was pitiful and the salad dressings were equally disappointing. I have never had a worse salad in a restaurant. Improve your dressings, put some tomato on your salad and it would have been nice to have onion, celery or something to give the impression you care. When the pizza came, it was well covered with toppings and the crust had an amazing flavor, but that's where it ends. The toppings didn't stand out, the pizza was almost bland. Typically I consider place like this an upgrade, but Round Table has a better tasting pizza and salad bar. A pizza place much closer to home does a small 5 toping pizza for $7 during lunch. A salad is probably another $4-5 dollars, but it's better pizza and a real salad bar. I'd take Inside track over Pizza Hut, Dominoes and either Papa. But if you can't beat Round Table, you got to try harder. Unlike others who complained about service, the service was flawless. Our server was friendly, kept our gasses full and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, the pizza was just mediocre and a driver in the fact that the overall Yelp rating is what I would consider low. Anything below 3 stars should truly have you considering changes in how you operate. Star with better pepperoni and sausage. The smell and flavor should have you salivating, not wondering if you are eating impossible meat. read more
