So after hearing so many rave reviews about this place and seeing it every time we drive by, (no not that kind of drive-by), we finally decided to give it a try. Walking in there wasn't any real wow factor but we were shown to our table rather quickly. I ordered the spicy chicken caesar salad and Jeremy ordered the Chicken and Three Cheese pizza (he's quite the pizza fanatic), so the bar was set pretty high already. The waitress was very professional and brought us our drinks in a timely manner. Our surprise was they didn't just bring out a glass of soda but also a 24oz decanter, which I thought brought a lot of appeal to the ambiance of the restaurant. We did have to wait for the food for quite a bit but not to where you're checking your watch. Their salad was very appealing and tasted quite good, nothing too spectacular although they in no way skimped on the olives or cheese, which was a bonus. With being food network watchers, presentation has become a staple of when we are ordering and eating our food and the presentation was top notch. My salad was big and very filling, came with some garlic bread which was very soft and tasted great. The spicy chicken wasn't as spicy as I figured it was going to be which I was hoping for a bit more pow, but it was better than having the same old grilled chicken. The caesar dressing wasn't bitter like some places, there was a good amount of everything, especially the parmesan cheese. Another bonus for me! As far as the pizza goes, we were expecting a very thin pizza with sparse ingredients. Again, they exceeded our expectations. The pizza had chicken, sun dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, fresh basil, and they didn't skimp here on the Parmesan cheese either. For a small, it could have fed 3 people easy. The crust was not exceptional but it was nice it not being greasy. It is a little on the pricier side for us but you definitely got what you pay for. We would rate it 4 1/2 stars but not having that option we decided to go with 5. The only reason that we would drop it from the 5 stars is the noise, it was hard to hear each other when we were talking, almost felt like you had to yell at each other. I had to wait for service, I got in behind a party. Food not very inspiring or interesting; kind of dull. I had the same salad that Karen described in her review.. iceburg lettuce, nice and crisp and covered in black olives (canned) .,well, that's ok, BUT if it is to be nutritional try real green greens! Stopped in for dinner on a whim the other night, searching for some decent pizza in the Tri-Cities area. The place is old-school, not Italian old-school, but from the 80's or something; really funny decor (they have a fake palm tree in the middle of the dining room?). The place manages to be cozy though, and has a great family vibe. The menu is standard Italian fare, with a few specials thrown in (one such option was butternut squash ravioli, which I am always a fan of). Solid pizza menu, as well as a build it yourself option. For starters, we ordered the green salad with olives and cheese. Unfortunately the iceberg lettuce, bulk bought mozzarella, and mini-chopped olives just didn't taste good...I recommend skipping this one. Next time we'll try something besides the salad. For pizza, we ordered the "Purist" and the "Casa Mia Special." Both were delicious, but I think the Special had a tad too much meat; we should have nixed the sausage. The crust on both pizzas came out perfectly crispy on the ends, and was not too thick or thin, just right. Served with shakers of mozzarella and red pepper flakes, very nice. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the pizza was served piping hot, just as it should be. Service was friendly, quick and attentive, even with the constant line that was forming from the time we arrived (we had a 20min wait at 6:30pm on a Saturday). Pricing is on par for what you are getting, so that was refreshing. They also have a great selection of imported beers and local wines (at very reasonable prices), which we appreciated. Wow. I went to this Casa Mia in Richland the other day and I wasn't expecting much, I was just hungry and it sounded good. When we walked in it was pretty busy, and my boyfriend and I were sat (within 5 minutes upon arrival) at a small table in the middle (kinda awkward, but it was fine.) However, it died down pretty quickly around 7:30PM, which was nice. This was on a Saturday night too. The service was amazing. Our server greeted us right away, great attitude, very nice. What I want to commend her for is her seamless, phenomenal timing. She gave us the perfect amount of time to decide what we wanted, the complimentary bread and butter came out within a couple minutes, then our salads, then our food when we finished the bread and salad, and once we were halfway done with our food she checked up on us, after we were finished she asked if we wanted dessert (which we did) and that came out quickly as well. I forgot her name, but she was great. Our food was perfect. So delicious. I wasn't terribly hungry, so I was hoping the small size of ravioli would be good. Perfect size! My boyfriend ordered the white sauce tortellini and that was to die for. I will be ordering that next time I go. I love Casa Mia's salads! They're fresh, light, and tasty. The classic salad comes with a ton of olives, it's great. Now for my favorite part, the dessert. We ordered the cheesecake with mango puree, and oh my gosh. Yummy! I don't understand why they only have three stars, so I thought I should give my review to help boost their rating. Every time I'm in town, I try to have a meal here or at the Kennewick location. You get a basket of bread to start (so good) and I recommend ordering their classic salad; it's so simple, yet so delicious and their dressings are made in-house! I love the Italian dressing, but the Roquefort dressing is very good too for those blue-cheese/ranch lovers. I typically order their pizza, their crust is amazing, also made in-house daily, hand tossed and baked on a brick hearth. Their ravioli and spaghetti are good as well, and you can order all you can eat spaghetti for only $9.99! My fiancée has ordered their chicken fettuccini and he usually has a pretty big appetite, but by the time he was done, his plate was still full! Very hearty portion!! We arrived at 5:15. They seemed super busy, though the restaurant was about 2/3 to 3/4 full. We waited 15 minutes to be seated. We gave our drink orders within another 15 minutes. Drinks were placed sloppily, not necessarily in front of the person. After another 15 or so minutes, we placed our order for food. We then waited 55 minutes to receive our food. After repeated requests, she finally brought the rolls, after the food instead of before. When we reminded her, she got testy and said it was in the oven. When we finally got our food, we had no silverware. We had to wait for that too. The presentation of the food was bare bones. Zero appeal. Just a plate of entre with no garnishment. No steak knife for the steak. We had to ask for it. The steak was dry and had NO flavor at all. No steak sauce was offered or apparent. The food was just ok. Not great, barely good. The waitress had an attitude; seemed like she had a chip on her shoulder. No one felt like taking home the left overs. It wasn't delicious enough to want to eat it again. The sauce was brown and call me crazy alfredo is a white sauce, it was unedible, my sister in law could not eat it. *Saltine crackers and shredded cheese- this is what they offered my 3 year old niece, they did not have a kids menu to choose from, this was literally the best option. The salad was made of limp watered down ice burg lettuce, the "house italian" was oil and vinegar and mostly just oil, topped w/ more of their favorite, shredded mozzarella and canned olives. This restaurant is the perfect candidate for the Fox series "Kitchen Nightmares". How on earth can this restaurant get good reviews, everything served here, is either frozen, from a can or pre-made, it is not real italian food, you're better off spending your money at the Olive Garden which isn't saying much. The lady seated us and I said "do you have a kid's menu?" and she said "I don't know, you have to ask your server" and walked away. Sorry Scott, not even close to the meal I get at Olive Garden for the same money. We had meatball subs and salads. First they cut the rolls compleatlt in half so when you took a bite it all came oozing out the other side, IMPOSIPLE to eat without wearing it. Salads were a plate of letuce covered with cheese and olives, no tomatoes, crutons or anything else. Waitress never came to check on us once after we got our food. Overall we will NOT be back. SEVERE CASE OF FOOD POISONING MARCH 2010 I have been a loyal customer of this chain for close to 20 years, starting as a customer of the Kennewick branch but have only been to the Richland chain twice. One in August of 2009 and once this past weekend - both times ordered my favorite dish - Shrimp Fettucine - and BOTH times, got a horrible case of food poisoning. I chose not to post a negative review or contact the health department the first time out of love for the chain and also was giving them the benefit of the doubt as far as possibly having a small oversight in the kitchen or something - but I am RAVING MAD at this point - they are obviously mis-handling seafood and placing people at risk! This has been my favorite Italian restaurant since I was young. Throughout the years, I've gone through my "favorite" dish. Their spaghetti is always a classic option, the fettuccine is one of my faves; overall, you can't go wrong with their pastas. I enjoy their salads. They're very simple, but just the right amount. Took 15 minutes to get water after we asked for it. Not a single time were we serviced aside from the order being put in and brought out to us. We had a waitress pass us at least 14 times during our one hour stay and not once ask if we needed anything even though we clearly had no water or bread on the table the whole time. We had been out of water 5 minutes after sitting down. It's 105 degrees out. You know there's a problem when the first time you're asked if everything's doing alright, it's 30 minutes after you got your food, when you're fed up/have too dry of a mouth to enjoy the food/getting ready to leave, and you have to ask for water, bread, boxes and the check all at once as you're standing up to walk out. Food is okay, but the Kennewick location by far has better service. Honestly, I'd almost rather go to Olive Garden. At least I'll get my water glass refilled. read more

Went to Casa Mia in Richland,WA for lunch Feb 19, 2012. Waited over 20 mins and still no drinks. Asked another waitress if we could get our Pepsi and another 10 mins later and our waitress comes by. She lectures to us that SHE is our waitress and if we want drinks we have to ask her and not another waitress. Her tone was condescending and rude. The manager on staff was the cook and he didn't care or do anything. DO NOT go to this restaurant. The food is average but the waitress Cecelia is rude.
