This is one of the roaches we found on the bedroom floor.

My fiancé booked this room as a birthday surprise for me for 2 nights July 31st - Aug 2nd, 2026. He was mortified when we got in the room and saw that the room was extremely dirty, hair was left all over shower floor, in the bathroom sink and in the bed under the covers and on the living room futon. Dead roach was on the bedroom floor, loud construction starting at 8am, only one wash cloth in the bathroom, when we requested more, they only brought 1 more. Stains on futon and yellow stains on the floor, property did not reflect pictures on the website, property was clearly in a restoration phase. The shower had still water from previous guest that would not drain down, Wifi did not work, we had to use our mobile Hotspot for the smart tv. Sand area was full of rigged rocks and not smooth and fine as pictures portrayed. There was only 1 pool and it was lacking proper filtration. The price per night was extremely high for such a disgusting lack luster property. The breakfast was pathetic; I've seen a better spread at a holiday inn. Powdered eggs, hard bread/bagels and milk that was sitting out in a thermos. We met another guest in the room next to us who had the same experience and the hotel offered to give them their money back if they found another room. We never saw them again so I assume they found another hotel. We spoke to the lady at the front desk and texted her our pictures and were told that we would be contacted by management. We still have not heard from anyone.

Low key spot w/ killer vibes! The bridge leading over to the pool is its own little island of paradise. Our room was steps away from the sea. Breakfast is served until 11am. Kayaks and paddle boards are available are your leisure. 10/10! Beautiful stay!

Casa Morada is truly something special. We came here on our honeymoon and couldn't have asked for a better location, more beautiful grounds/room or a kinder staff. From the second we arrived we were welcomed by Caitlin who was the absolute sweetest and found a congratulatory bottle of champagne in our room. The hotel is located on the bay side which means incredible sunsets and calm waters where you can admire fish, dolphins and manatees (we saw all 3 just be standing on the deck!). The pool area is wonderfully maintained and we enjoyed lounging for hours every day with the other kind couples staying at the hotel. They offer amenities like paddle boards, kayaks and the option to book a sunset cruise which was one of our favorite experiences of our whole honeymoon. The bartender Janice even gathered the other guests to send us off on our cruise with a farewell congratulations toast which was so sweet. This isn't the all inclusive vibe or somewhere you go to be waited on 24/7 (eg the bar is closed several days a week and we felt pretty much entirely left to our own devices during our weeklong stay) but as long as you have the right expectations going in you'll no doubt see the same special qualities that made this boutique hotel somewhere we're planning to return to for years to come. Thank you Casa Morada and the amazing staff for making our honeymoon unforgettable!

Stayed here during the pandemic in September and was unbelievably impressed with the amenities, cleanliness, and location. Thank you Casa Morada for the relaxing stay at your beautiful property!!

Beautiful secluded spot, plenty of water bassinet and friendly people make for a wonderful escape. Chris at the front desk was super helpful and Justine the bartender is as sweet as her name belies. So happy I took a quick break to recharge and consider life, life is definitely good:-)

Wow! Started our vacation in Miami and stayed at the W but when we got to CASA MORADA we wish we would have stayed here all 7 nights. Eileen, the owner, greeted us and took us on our own personal tour of their facility. We stayed in the Jungle room. The room was super clean and tons of usable space. We loved the sitting room and personal deck. The facility offered kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. Our favorite part was the "island" that had our own pool, yoga, cocktails and food. We spent most of our time there. We did not want to leave. You could hire the captain for the sunset cruise or a daytime snorkeling adventure. The staff here is very personable, attentive and friendly. I feel lucky that my BF found such a perfect spot for us to relax. Thank you. We will be back!!!

This little boutique hotel was hands down the best part of our trip to the keys. My boyfriend found it in a small article in GQ magazine. We ended our Barbados trip in Miami and then came here and I only wish we would have spent both of our last nights at Casa Morada. It's so adorable and secluded, the perfect romantic getaway. The highlights for a newly engaged couple like ourselves were: -No kids allowed. Enough said. -The view. The floating bar and pool area faces the west ocean so you can see the sunset if you stay there. -The room was clean, quaint and well-stocked with complimentary snacks and mini bar. -They offer free yoga classes on the beach. -The continental breakfast on the deck was nice with lots of extras like fresh fruit, soymilk, granola, yogurt, and good coffee. -We loved the beach cruisers. We took them to Lorelei's and Morada Bay for drinks and dinner to catch the sunset, it was so much fun. It's not a "5 star resort" but for us it was the perfect combination of luxury and serenity that we were looking for. If we ever came back to the keys we would definitely stay here again.

I don't believe words can explain this place nor do the pictures do justice but I will try my best. I found this place on Secret Escape about eight months ago the rooms were at 50% off, right after hurricane Irma. I always love the keys but most hotels were very plain and simple. This hotel only has maximum 16 rooms so basically you really don't see anyone around, It's as if you are on your own private property. Upon arrival I'm served a glass of complimentary champagne which was delicious! I really wanted some alone time , since my house at the time is being renovated hehe. Secluded On a large landscaped, well tended to by several Gardners/landscapers. Yes they actually rake the gravel trails that are in between the gardens and trees every morning so you only see your footprints. I stayed at the sea turtle room, has a beautiful patio area where you can hear and see a beautiful waterfall hidden between the trees. As you follow the trail towards the dock there's a single beautiful two-person Hammock that is a stand alone Surrounded by water. I enjoyed one night laying there looking at the beautiful dark sky, I haven't seen so many beautiful stars in a very long time, And it was a full moon week so I can't imagine what it looks like when the moon is not full. You can schedule day fishing ,sunset sailing and many other activities right from the hotel. Walking distance , there are several restaurants to choose from, I was there for the full moon celebration, was lovely. Part of my treat to myself was a full body massage which was arranged by the hotel the masseuse was amazing and the price was perfect compared to Miami. $125 for 1 hour in room service just amazing! One of the best places to see the sunset with all its beautiful purple pink and gold. The hostess was amazing before I arrived I called to confirm my stay, she asked if I had plans for dinner and I told her no , I asked her about Chef Michael's which I've read some reviews on yelp, told her there's a restaurant I wanted to go to but I'm afraid it might be too late for a reservation, she went ahead and made reservations for me and confirmed! Excellent customer service! The bar at the end of the dock is amazing, try the smoked fish dip, it's delivered daily right off the fishing boat they smoke it immediately after catching. Viewing the sunset from there is a must do! But if you're more into people, a restaurant about a block and a half away walking distance is called Lorelei was nice to hang out and have a light lunch, food is not the best but the view is amazing! Inside the hotel room as natural terrazzo floors, nice comfy bed living room area mini fridge that's packed with lots of delicious drinks and of course my favorite sparkling water. They refill every day. Breakfast is served on the upper deck of another building overlooking the ocean. It was the most magnificent place I've ever stayed in the Keys, well Islamorada haha not considered the Keys.

Casa morada = relaxation. This place is literally a physical and mental escape where you can set your mind and body at ease surrounded by subtle luxury. Nothing about this place screams out 5 stars but once you check in in an elegant little room with a glass of champagne and look out at the tree lined pathways that end at glassy bayfront water, you just take a deep breath and exhale with contentment. The grounds are peaceful with zen like touches, a private waterfall, a grassy hilltop, peace all around and a pool and bar on a private island with water all around. The rooms are quiet, beachy, comfy and lovely. Not overdone but comfy with luxe touches. I prefer staying in the water front building where you can awake to a shining bay and palm trees. Breakfast is simple, fresh, delicious and complimentary. You can grab a bike, kayak, or paddleboard anytime and head out for some exercise. Or..... You can cross a little bridge, grab a mango sake cocktail and find a luxurious lounge or hammock by the pool. The sunset sail is a must, especially if Dolphins decide to follow you around as they did with us. The staff is wonderful, they are so nice I didn't want to leave. They will take care of any request. And for dog lovers, this place is luxury for you and your fur baby. It is simple, peaceful, zen like luxury and only 1.5 hours from Miami. We can't wait to come back very soon!

Had a great stay in Casa Marada. A boutique hotel in Islamarada. We loved our garden front room. It was very private and made us feel like we were in the jungle. Spotted lots of lizards and even some residence kitties. The man made island made for very relaxing days. We had a private snorkeling excursion with Captain bill which was at a great price and a lot of fun! We also enjoyed using the free kayaks.

A special thank you to our concierge, Anne, who was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to recommend family-friendly activities both at the lodge and around Islamorada, and her recommendations made our trip even more memorable. One of the best things about Cheeca Lodge is that there's truly something for everyone. We loved that we could paddleboard, kayak, ride bikes, fish off the iconic pier, relax by one of the three beautiful oceanfront pools, or simply enjoy the incredible views. There's even complimentary golf, which we didn't have time to take advantage of this trip. Our lagoon-view room was beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. The entire property is stunning, secure with gated entry, and offers complimentary parking throughout your stay. We also had an amazing experience at Mia Cucina, the Italian restaurant on site. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the staff. The chefs were so kind and welcoming to our kids, making dinner feel extra special. The complimentary 24-hour shuttle was another huge plus, making it easy to explore the area without worrying about driving. There's also a 24-hour convenience store right across the street, which came in handy more than once. Islamorada ended up being the perfect destination for our family. It has such a relaxed, laid-back feel while still offering plenty to do. If you're looking for a luxury resort where you can truly unwind, spend quality time with family, and enjoy exceptional hospitality, Cheeca Lodge is it. Thank you to Anne and the entire Cheeca Lodge team for an unforgettable stay. We can't wait to return!

After 3 days my wife had to threaten the front desk staff with using towels to wipe her ass if the maids didn't restock the toilet paper in our room. Totally unacceptable for a resort. They kept assuring us the rooms service maids were coming in daily, but they never did until she threatened to come down and make a scene. The staff seemed unmotivated to complete even the basic cleaning tasks. We only asked for two coffee k cups, clean towels and the two room garbage cans to be emptied on a daily basis. That was just too demanding and the staff tried to mean-mug us when we came and went but finally got it done for the final two days of our visit. I'd advise you visit another property because the service is nonexistent and a total disappointment. Their on site restaurant was a joke as well. Completely overpriced and out of touch given the location. Every other restaurant we visited in the area was excellent, but theirs was almost always empty. The menu was way overpriced and there were countless local options that were much better and less expensive. Nearly all the staff on site see to be unwilling to provide service to customers and displaying a shitty attitude overall. Leadership changes need to take place or this property will crumble. Good location, just bad service with inadequate leadership supervision.

Few people at the pools, almost no one at the beach, and even fewer at the bar. That level of care and accountability speaks volumes. This resort is truly a slice of paradise, beautiful oceanfront views, gorgeous rooms, bungalows facing the pristine private beach, multiple pools, lush tropical grounds, on-site dining, and endless activities that make it impossible to get bored. Whether you're lounging by the water, enjoying a cocktail at the bar, biking around the property, or just soaking in the peaceful island vibe, there's something for everyone. It's a slow pace ñ, relaxing feel; like you're on your own private island. Although we weren't able to kayak or fully enjoy the beach due to sargassum during our stay, it just gives us the perfect reason to come back and experience it all next time! But what made our stay unforgettable was the PEOPLE. A huge heartfelt thank you for superb customer service and for being such a kind, dog-loving resort family; it meant the world to us traveling with our pup. Angela, Dolce, Vanessa, Josh, William, your love for animals and leadership clearly shines through your incredible team; your attention to detail, warmth, and friendliness elevated our entire experience. Charlene, our incredible server at the Tides; you have a wonderful future ahead, thank you for all the love and attention you poured out to us and Bane! You didn't all just meet our expectations; you exceeded them. We truly could not have asked for a better way to celebrate our special day, and we are already looking forward to coming back. Food for thought; the yellowtail snapper fish sandwich at the Tides was incredible and so was the smash burger. The pina coladas were fantastic too. We weren't a fan of the Drift restaurant although it was pretty; the food at the tides bar was much better; think of elevated Bar food but freshly curated. Most importantly they are dog friendly ( no breed or weight restrictions) ; make sure your dog is well trained. We took our big boy and he felt like a prince with his complimentary Islander Bandana and fire hydrant poop bag dispenser; but he is a quiet boy and well behaved . The resort will not tolerate bad behaved dogs or barkers. So please don't ruin it for the rest of us that have well behaved, big dogs, get banned because others don't know how to control their own four legged children.

First things first, they have added a 20% gratuity/service charge already on all food & drinks…read more Some servers will tell you that and others will just hand you the credit card machine which has tip options of 20% or more already on the screen, so if you don't pay attention you'll be tipping 40% or more. We spent another week here and had a good time. They no longer give out the complementary sunglasses and snacks when you first check in. The sargassum, which is around from about March to October, was insane, so the ocean was not an option, but thankfully the pools were clean and warm. If we come back, it'll be when the sargassum isn't around.

You can tell that they really take pride in every area of the property, rooms, pool and grounds. What a joy!! It was a fantastic experience where we could forget about work and enjoy each moment. We had room 4 which was a kitchen, dining area, king size bed, and bathroom located near the dock. It was clean, up kept and we enjoyed our entire time there! The bed was comfortable and it had a nice TV. My husband brought fishing tackle so that he could fish from the dock and was extremely happy!! Next time he plans to bring his small boat so that he can dock it there. Upon our arrival we were greeted and checked in quickly and efficiently. Our questions about the area, restaurants, etc. were answered and he said he was only a text away if we had any questions at all. This was impressive to me and I was grateful. The sunsets were gorgeous and we were happy we brought our camera. We did not use the pool or the many hammocks and chairs on the grounds but we're happy they were there. We enjoyed the dock and porch area just outside our room and we are looking forward to coming back next year! This resort does not charge for parking or a resort fee which we appreciated and is located 10 to 15 minutes from a Publix in case you would like to purchase items for the kitchen. CVS is near the Publix too. This is a wonderful old style Florida resort that doesn't nickel and dime you for everything. We already have reservations for next year!
