View from the beach at sunset, Atlantic Bay Resort

What a gem! We stayed here for one night at the end of our time in the Florida Keys. We were immediately impressed by the hospitable staff when we checked in. They gave us the key to our clean, inviting room with comfortable beds and a small kitchenette area. There is no oven or stovetop, but there is a microwave, a toaster, and a large refrigerator. We spent that afternoon swimming in the pool and paddleboarding in the hotel's small bay. The beach isn't really great for splashing around because the bottom is rocky and has seaweed, but it is great for paddleboarding and kayaking, and it's wonderful that the hotel provides these for guests to check out. The pool is nice too. Later that evening we got pizza and ate it while watching the sunset; it was so peaceful and beautiful. The only bit of warning I'd give is that the wall A/C unit is a bit loud at night. We slept fine, but if you need the room to be absolutely quiet while you sleep, this may not be the hotel for you. But that isn't enough for me to knock it down a star. This place is a treasure and I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a small hospitable inn on the water in the upper Keys.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend and had a wonderful time!! Check in was a breeze. We were given the keys and shown to our little cabin. It had everything we could possibly want in a room! Clean and comfy as well. A big plus was that all of the things to rent were absolutely free! Bikes, paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, etc. There's a private beach to do the water sports in, so we took advantage of the canoes twice. We even spotted a dolphin. Pool is on the smaller side but when we were there, it was completely empty. 10/10 would recommend!

What a wonderful find! The personnel were all friendly and helpful. We arrived very early knowing we would not get in for hours but when management found out, they got our room done early and we had a great one day and night stay there. We were there 22 hours, and we wished we could have stayed longer. The room was large and well appointed located next to the pool which is exactly where we spent our whole day. Great size pool, nice temperature, places to stay in the shade or be in the sun. The views are spectacular; a continental breakfast is served out of a streamline in a make-shift cafe area facing the ocean. Not a kid place per se but definitely a great place for adults that want to chill out. We will be back!

Lounging area to see the sunsets

We found this place by luck site seeing the area. We booked our annual keys trip and spent 4 nights here. What a serene place to stay. We loved it! Our kids had a great time. They have a lot of amenities such as paddle boarding, bike riding, kayaks, a nice size pool. The place is very well kept . The staff was very friendly and welcoming, Thank you Lilly! The rooms were nice and spacious. The shower had amazing water pressure and the ac was nice and cold. We rented the efficiency which had a king size bed and the girls slept in a queen sofa bed. There was a kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, toaster, and coffee maker. We will definitely be back!

We loved this resort! Only one night on the way back from Key West to Miami. Wish we had more time. Beautiful cottages with porch to hang, pool, mini beach, paddle boarding and kayaks. Highly recommend!

This is our little, quiet, out of the way slice of paradise. The cabins are adorable - clean, spacious, including a kitchenette with a full size fridge, microwave, sink, stove burners, and in some of them, an oven. There is dock space so you can bring you boat, tikki huts on the beach to enjoy the view, wild peacocks to keep you company, and tikki covered porches to sit and relax the day away. We came here for a good friends' wedding, and it has become a yearly trip for a bunch of us to all come here together as a way to get away, hang out, and decompress. I love little out of the way finds like this. The only drawbacks are that it isn't exactly the lowest cost place (but that is what you pay for staying at a small, private, secluded place) and that there is no ice machine on premises - but there is an ice-trailer within walking distance (right a the turn in road), so it is easy to get ice if you need it.

Nice little hotel, great views, nice pool and bbq area, but lotssssssss of mosquitoes. Management is a little rude, rooms are nice, clean and very spacious.

We came here with a group of 8 this past fourth and it was amazing. Everyone there was friendly and the rooms and grounds were very clean and organized. The best part of this place is the view! When the sun comes down and sun hits that water it's beautiful! When your visiting the keys come stay here there awesome. They have so many amenities like the huge warm saltwater pool, grills and beautiful wooden beach chairs, paddle boards, and kayaks for any guest to use and a pier to dock your boat. Best July 4 ever!

I write this as I sit in our beautiful little cottage. I must say I was very hesitant about staying here, as I read there was no beach. But turns out, that's NOT an issue. If you want to stay in a place that's quaint, quiet, beautiful, clean, and with great service, this is the place for you. So far I'm loving it, and we can't wait to plan our next trip here.

One Star is generous! This was for a 1 night stay on January 18, 2026. I had thought that our…read moresituation might be unique but as i read so many similar experiences, I've decided to warn others as well. 1) We arrived way before "late check-out" time, yet the office was closed. A posted phone number of the apparent on-site manager was not answered and never returned. There were three couples awaiting a call back from the number(s) left on the office window. It took us all 45 minutes (!) in the buggy dusk to finally connect with a responsible person (NY?) who advised that we all should have rec'd email instructions...we did not -- so he explained how to use the night key boxes. By then we were all upset at the inconvenience and disorganization. 2) the room smelled terribly; couldn't identify it but all our clothes and suitcase absorbed the odor. Took days to air out! Nowhere to complain after hours. 3) Two queen beds were made nicely BUT one was covered with tiny dead bugs. Really?? Therefore the bed was useless. 4) The bathroom sink and toilet had been cleaned but toilet was poorly maintained and rusty, as well as the shower head. 5) ALL the furniture surfaces were covered with a disgusting sticky residue, forcing us to place our CPAP machines on a towel on the only one bedside table provided. 6) The lamp base on that bedside table was covered with some dark, dried sticky substance that appeared as some spilled liquid (Coke??) that might have been spilled on it some time ago and allowed to dry. The whole table was disgusting in this regard. And also the plastic cover on the elec clock fell off when I tried to clean under it. Good that we had brought sanitizer wipes! 7) One of the TV legs was broken and I advised a cleaning lady. She was unaware. 8) Some minor issues like a burned out light bulb, arbitrary and missing bathroom amenities, but indicators that the room is poorly maintained. This manager should do the right thing and return our money. TERRIBLE experience in a dirty and poorly-maintained room. BEWARE!

One of the cheaper options ("cheaper" meaning $265 after fees) that had decent reviews was Creekside Inn, so I booked a room with two queen beds. The email I received after booking the room says the office is only open 9am to 9pm. I knew we might be arriving late from Miami, so I called earlier in the day and they gave me instructions on how to get our room key just in case and told me to stop by the next morning to fill out the registration paperwork. We ended up getting to the hotel at 8:35pm only to find the office was already closed. Kind of frustrating because I knew we were leaving before 9am the next morning and didn't want to have to stop back. It ended up delaying us leaving town later the next day when we did stop. The room was underwhelming. There was little water pressure in the sink, so it made brushing teeth and washing hands difficult. The beds certainly weren't the definition of comfortable. I get that having tile flooring in the bedroom makes it easier to clean for the staff, but carpeting would be appreciated. The best part of the stay was the view of the creek behind the building, but that was for the 20 seconds we saw it while we walked to and from our room. If price is your main consideration, Creekside Inn may be right for you. If I come back to the Keys, though, I would look elsewhere even if it means spending more.

The bathroom had everything needed for a good shower (hot water, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, towels) but the shower was constantly flooding to our ankles so we had to space out our showers to wait for it to fully drain before the next one. The AC kept the room cool but water leaked out occasionally so we turned it off when sleeping which was unfortunate because it got super hot at night in the rooms. The ladies at the front were nice for check in and check out. The best part about staying here though was the little private beach in the back and picturesque scenery. We enjoyed some moments there just before leaving!

The pool and hot tub were clean, and warm. 4. The rooms were very clean, NO bugs (if we saw any bugs they were classic Florida bugs you would see anywhere) ((NO BED BUGS THAT PEOPLE PREVIOUSLY "reported") 5. Housekeeping was phenomenal!! 6. It was close to everything ! 7. The view was stunning ! The best part I think were the lot lizards :) plz see photos for clarification.. Cons / dislikes / negatives 1. The little gnat bugs outside were HORRIBLE, and I had bites everywhere 2. The smell of the seaweed decomposing was definitely something to get used to (occasionally the smell of pure sewer was in the air) BUT this is no fault to anyone!!!! 3. We couldn't stay longer.
