As a first-time visitor to fair Puerto Rico, I was unsure of what to expect in regards to local culinary offerings. My sister assured me that there would be plenty of beans and rice, which is far from disagreeable, but besides that, I had no expectation.
Casa Patria was the first place we ate on our trip and it was a lovely experience. The service was great and all restaurant staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was also wonderful. I ordered the mofongo con camarones and it was incredible! Everyone I was with was equally enthused with the food they received. After this meal, I felt confident that the cuisine of PR would not disappoint. I was beyond pleasantly surprised by this rather inconspicuous spot. read more
