Food was amazing, and our server was extremely nice and helpful. It wasn't busy when we arrived, so we were able to sit on the second floor. The atmosphere was really nice as well.
Pretty cool multi-level bar/grill. Amazing views and good drinks/food. Stopped by because I saw a lot of recommendations on social media. I think it lived up to the hype. Ordered a few drinks and some fish tacos.
Stopped by this place purely for the name lol! The bartenders/servers were nice, one server in particular (forgot her name) from Caguas chatted us up was very sweet! We don't get a chance to try the food but the guy next to us said the tacos were really good! It's a two story bar with a cool view from upstairs, clean bathrooms, picture worthy decor. Some of the reviews almost kept me away but I'm glad we still gave it a chance, pretty empty on a Wednesday night!

I took this tip from cab driver with out looking at yelp reviews. disappointed, the mojito had no rum, no sugar, gross, not worth the $10. The food was gross. the salad had not tomato's or any fixings just lettuce, oil and cold shrimp on top. my moms mofongo which is not pictures here was ok but the chicharron was salty as hell. it was so bad, we returned the dish and my mom just ate plain ole white rice and beans. So sad. Last but not least the white rice and chicharron was a 1. The rice was cold, beans were room temperature. The dishes came out at all different times and rice and beans were cold. After complaining, they took one dish off the bill, but it was still a sad experience sad sad sad!!
New kid on the block, bar-restaurant serving some traditional Puerto Rican favorites and drinkssssssss. Food: Tostones (shrimp/camarones or octopus/pulpo) - 3.5/5 - the colors and textures are very appealing however, they were lacking in flavor - too bland! Appetizer sampler (fried pieces of pork, chicken, fish and green plantains) - 5/5 - definitely a nice fried snack with the dipping sauces $3 Mojitos on weekdays - various flavors including tropical fruits available - 5/5 - soooo gooooood Ambience: Simple modern; couple of outdoor tables available Service: Fast, friendly
Arrived in PR yesterday around 1130am and we were so hungry. Luckily our hotel let us checked in early. La Verguenza was a place that was open early and also walking distance for us. Saw they had a rooftop and a sign that says $3 mojito special. Unfortunately, $3 mojitos were only on weekdays . We got greeted promptly once we got seated upstairs. DRINKS - we got pineapple and passion fruit mojitos. My pineapple mojito was lacking both the taste of the juice and rum. Passion fruit was much better. For $10 each, I was so disappointed . No wonder they have $3 specials . FOOD - We wanted to keep it light so we decided to order only two dishes and share. We got the steak tacos and Tostones with octopus. The steak tacos were actually pretty good . Good quality steak. I will give 4/5. The tostones with octopus? I don't recommend it at all... it was so plain. Even drenching it with lime it wasn't good... I believe it's because the tostones lack flavor. Need more salt. We thought maybe adding hot sauce it would give it some more flavor. We asked if they had any Tabasco sauce, the waitress said "no, I'm sorry." Im like so you don't have any hot sauce at all? She said no... I was so disappointed but more shocked lol Overall, I would definitely come back for the steak tacos. Can't say the same for the tostones .
The steak tacos were excellent. The shrimp with rice and beans were good too. I tried my friend fish fingers and they were good also. My henny colada lacked henny. Other than that I would recommend this place. There was nothing fancy about the ambiance. We didn't get to dine on the rooftop but I was hungry and didn't care for that either. don't deserve any starts at all ...terrible absolutely terrible they gave me half uncooked chicken breast where some still a bit raw and i chewed it and can tell it wasn't done, and was I nice about it and gave it back to my waiter to take back and let them know it wasn't fully cooked. She returned with my same plate and informed that the chef said it was is fully cooked. I was irate now because that's nasty and bad service, my sister ordered the same meal and you can see the big difference. I showed the waitress how rubbery my chicken was and it wouldn't even tear and then my sister did the same to her chicken and it easily parted. The waitress then took it back and then removed it from bill. Which wasn't the point i wanted my food all i wanted is cooked food. I spoke with the manager and showed her the difference.
There are three levels, two that give you beautiful views of the ocean while eating. My daughter ordered the churrasco with platanos maduros and fries. I ordered the mahi mahi in garlic sauce with salad and the platanos maduros. We also both ordered virgin piña coladas and they are delicious. Service was great. We really enjoyed ourselves. read more

Highly recommend to try out for lunch. They have many options for small bites. I tried the cod fish croquettes and they were delicious. I recommend sitting on the upper level as you feel the island vibes with the salsa music playing in the background while watching people pass by. Beware of the birds trying to beg or get in your food. It wasn't too busy so the service was very quick. read more
We sat in the rooftop overlooking La Perla with two piña coladas while munching on the appetizer player with all the favorites. The platter had yuca frita, mini alcapurrias and bacalaitos served with pink sauce. It was flavorful. The bartender and server were so friendly and even walked around giving extra shots of drinks. read more

La verguenza is good but the service is very slow. Make sure to give yourself one to two hours for service and food. The food is tasty and the ambience is fun. read more

The food is yummy and has that authentic Puerto Rican rich spices. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The vibes is nice, the drinks are good. You can dine downstairs or upstairs. The music has that Latin sound that will have you on your feet. read more

Thank God we listened to Vianca ( Marriott concierge) instead of Yelp reviews! This place is a gem. It's only 4 blocks away from the Marriott. Fish tacos (fried not shown because consumed so quickly) were a hit. The drinks we had - mojitos and the Vergüenza colada which is made with rumchata tastes more like a horchata- were delish. Mojitos were "Strong in a very good way" according to my husband who had two and then had a vergeunza colada. He also had the steak tacos - I had a bite and I'm not a red meat eater but they were delicious. "Tender and well seasoned" according to my husband. The grilled mahi mahi tacos tasted like they swam from the ocean and onto the grill - so fresh and nicely dressed. The sweet plantains (maduros) were perfect and I'm glad they didn't have crema on them - my kid loved them and we've been getting them at every meal. These were the best so far. What else? Oh the view - eat upstairs. We came around 1 pm on a Saturday and it was calm with a few locals (a nice change from the hotel). Service was great. Karla said she was only two weeks in but you'd never ever know. Super sweet, friendly and gave us great advice. Loved her!! Go go go. We will be back for happy hour for sure and more day drinking and tacos. read more

$3 mojitos (my favorite was passionfruit) and shrimp mofongo with a yummy pink sauce. Simple yet amazing I arrived just when they opened at 5pm and the staff was still getting settled in. My mojito was prepared immediately but the mofongo took quite a while. After about 30 minutes, the waiter/bartender asked what I ordered and it came straight out. I guess it was sitting in the kitchen ready to go. Due to this mishap, I took a star away from my rating. The mofongo was just yummy with HUGE shrimp. The vibe was chill on the rooftop at 5pm on a Monday. I recommend checking out this place! read more

I read the reviews before I ordered and wasn't sure what to expect. We were given the heads up when we arrived that food would take a while. I ordered the fish tacos. The food did take a while to prepare, but the fish tacos were great. The table also ordered salmon and mahi mahi. They were rated as alright but not the best in the world. Server was attentive and the nba and ncaa football games were on. I'd come back here to watch the games and eat/drink. read more

We stopped here because it looked like a cute local place. They were advertising happy hour. I ordered some white wine that was very good. My husband ordered what he thought were $3 Mojitos. There were a couple signs advertising this but he was charged $6 or $7 each so be aware. It seemed like there was one host and one waitress. It is a small restaurant. The food took over an hour. We ordered the octopus salad with tostones but only received an octopus salad without tostones. By the time we received our food we were not going to ask for a correction since we needed to get back to the hotel to check out. Definitely don't stop here if you are in a hurry. The octopus salad was good and fresh but I wish we could have tried the tostones. read more

Nothing but love for this spot. Carne frita, rice, beans, homemade hot sauce, mohito, medalla, cold water in a bottle. Really nice waitress. A little wait but it's PR not fast food in NYC. Chill out and hang with your people and talk and listen to the cars bumping Bad Bunny, the chickens walking around in the park across the street, the coqui in the distance, the lost tourists looking lost and nervous, the kids having beers in the park, the police blue light disco party car rolling through, and everyone here on vacation mode. I'm really not sure what else you need in life except for moments like these. Appreciation. Gracias. read more

I enjoyed my experience here. It's a small bar that also serves food. We ordered the happy hour special. A mojito of choice and chicken empanadas. The empanadas were the same as they serve throughout Puerto Rico. I believe they are mass produced because they look the same at most places. They did hit the spot after leaving the beach. The mojitos they offer were strawberry, pineapple, and I believe watermelon. We opted for pineapple. They were refreshing. Be aware this spot is in door outdoor so you still feel the heat. Total tab for 2 mojitos and 4 mini empanadas. 15.00 and change. This price can't be beat. They deserve 4 stars for the price and service with a smile. read more

Walking pass this place I had to come back. It smelt so delicious inside. Once we were seated it took about 10 mins for someone to acknowledge us and come take our drink and food order The waitress was nice. My food was good but they didn't have pico de gallo that was suppose to go on my fish tacos. The fish was very seasoned and I loved it. The red and beans perfecto. I would definitely recommend coming to this place for lunch or dinner read more
