Take this with what you will and I'm sure good ol Ronald is going to flock to this review with some BS. One thing to note before choosing this company is the "great" state of Texas is a landlord state. What does that mean? Normal wear and tear is up to the landlord, so the crappy paint they use that peels, if you get a scratch, paint naturally peels or anything other than fading they will charge you for all of it. Again since he's going to reply look it up on texas property codes. They use the law against you as tenants so be weary. I did take them to court, but sadly I chose a different route with my life than become a slumlord and pursued my doctorate in physical therapy in IL so being out of state while in the program made it hard to prepare. I did lose, but I recommend taking a video covering every inch of the house and outside before you leave you might have a different outcome taking them to court. They took somewhere between 360-380 photos, and for someone who was never really at the property should tell you what to expect. I've rented in Georgia, Alaska and may other places with a way fuller house and NEVER had problems like this. If you notice any changes in the house make a work order to have it fixed immediately so it's on them. Also date your filters, otherwise these scam artists will charge you around 400-500 for HVAC cleaning even though they don't perform any type of maintenance on it or service the entire time your there. Bottom line just know if you rent with casa be prepared to loose your deposit and be charged double after that. These reviews from others are not wrong, I would highly encourage you to find somewhere else to rent and spread the word about this company. Do not rent or buy from this property management Upon moving out a property that I've resided in for 13 years they charged me for cleaning the carpet after I already had it professional cleaned weeks before moving out. The carpet was 20 years old plus and needed to be replaced. This violates texas rental property law dealing with 5-7 year carpet life span. To top things off they also charged 300 to clean the property after me and my wife spent an entire month cleaning this property spotless. The carpet cleaning company was the same company I had clean the carpet and they charged 3 times what they billed me. And I also have a list of misc repair items that they are charging. Bottom line is do not rent or buy from this property management company they are scammers and not trustworthy they will do everything to keep your deposit and make you pay on top of that. read more

This is obviously a slum lord company. I'm offended that they would even allow this property to be seen. There was poop in the toilets the carpet was literally black with filth. Trash in the yard and inside hasn't been painted or updated in years. I would stay away from these people, they clearly have no standards or pride in their work or the properties they manage. Late 6 hrs to return keys.. Ok I understand there's a fee but when their a week late on giving me back my deposit and I ask is that fair that there's no penalties for y'all... their answer is ..."pretty much". They will not take responsibility for statements they make. The worst realty I have ever dealt with, left a deposit of $400 which they kept when we left the house in better condition then when we moved in. Once we moved out about a month later we got a letter in the mail saying they needed $700 more because of the cleaning and "land scpaping" when we took care of all that before we moved out. I asked them for receipts of this cleaning and land scpaping for the house they said they did and they said they could not provide that for me. I just wanted to say thank you to Ron Chipkin, Silvia and all the staff at Casa Realty. Excellent management company! My husband and I rented a very nice property from them for almost a year and a half. Anytime there was a problem with the property it was fixed immediately. We respected the property as if it were our own home. We never had a problem with Ron or any of his staff. They were always very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. When it was time to move out we left the property spotless just as we found it and all of our deposits were returned to us promptly. I don't understand all the bad reviews. If you follow the rules and do what you are supposed to do then there should not be a problem. We would definitely rent from Casa Realty again and would also give them an excellent recommendation to any future tenants. read more

Let me start by saying this company loves to screw over the tenants they get. We came into a house that we rented with dings all over the wall and noticed plenty wrong with the house. We just previously moved out because I am PCS overseas and I spent plenty of time trying repaint and make the house presentable for next tenants. Even with the hard work we I put into the house to make sure we got our security deposit back, we lost over 1k on our security deposit because of the marks on the wall, lightbulbs, bird nest on front porch and saying they needed to replace drywall in a room that was fine when we lived there. Property Managers in Killeen are generally terrible. They prey on Soldiers, do not make repairs and often charge tenants for damage that was never fixed from prior tenants. Casa Realty was the first company that actually went with me and showed their properties. Most just take 20 dollars or your ID and hand you keys. They were very helpful finding a place to rent. I rented from them for 2 years. They were always very timely with repairs sometimes within hours. They actually repair their properties in between tenants. A portion of their pet deposit is refundable which is unusual in the area and appreciated. The only gripe I had was when I have is they charge a additional "roommate" deposit, per roommate. I had a couple over the time of the lease. Each had to pay a deposit even though I never had more than 1 roommate. I would definitely rent from them again and plan on using them to manage future properties. read more

Upon move out, after paying $200 to have the carpets professionally cleaned and working my tail off for 5 days to clean the house, they are keeping my ENTIRE $700 deposit and now asking an additional $400. They LOST my move-in form and are charging me for things that were NOT broken when I left. They are also charging me for things such as mismatching lightbulbs...? Their customer service is a joke, they have no respect for tenant's hard earned money and are taking advantage of people. So disappointed to have to write this review.....I rented from Casa Realty for 5 yrs. Was a great renter but I guess they do not want renters who keep their properties good and always pay on time. They nickel and dime me for every little thing ..even the issues I had reported to them to fix and was told they would fix them.....that never happened.....I was charged for them. I was even charged for satellite dishes removed from the roof..even thou I never had satellite while I lived there and fixing nail holes on walls when there were never pictures hung on the wall. The list goes on and on. Never returned my pet deposits after I was told they would when I moved out... my pets passed away after the first year I lived there. I will be moving back in 1 yr and I will never rent from them again! I own properties in other states and I would never treat my good tenants this way. I'm pretty pissed off that they want you to keep my utilities on after I already moved out so they can use my shit while it's in my name so they don't have to turn it on in their names. Claiming they will have to charge us $74.99 per utility that they have to turn on. I'm not about to pay utilities for two different households!!!!! I refuse!! originaly to get in the place we were suppost to pay $500 deposit and $250 pet fee and $105 application fee and half month rent since we were only going to be in for 15 days the first month. I asked about all the fees there possible could be. At first the lady was nice and once we put in applications and gave the application fee it changed.We got call after putting in application and fee that is was actually going to be 1500 deposit,$250 pet fee,$200 per person,and last month rent . They said it was cause not enough credit history and not enough past rental history. Me and my spouse have been in one place for 5 years and my spouse has GREAT credit and I have zero credit. No bad nor good. They were rude when we asked why everything was the way it was then they even mentioned that they have had trouble in the past with people 24 years old before and don't know how we would leave the place when we left. I wrote a review on Facebook and they contacted us and made up excuses for the lady in the front being rude and told us they were wrong with the prices and asked if I could remove my reviews and now my review is no where to be found. WORST REALTY COMPANY (STAY AWAY) NO STARS TO THEM! Just like everyone else stated in their reviews about them not wanting to give your deposit back it is 100% true. Had Drain issues at our residence that made the entire house smell they would NOT come fix the problem and wanted me to live in the house for days like that because they would not come until I wrote an email online requesting a work order and even after that was submitted had to wait on a list to get them over there so I decided to move out. I called to ask them to mail my deposit they said I had to come in and leave my address. Went down there got treated like crap, so much attitude nobody would help me. Also once moved out they turned the lights and water back on to clean I guess and 2 of my neighbors informed me that they were leaving the lights on all day AND ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT FOR 2 WEEKS. ..THEY RAN UP THE BILL TO TAKE IT OUT OF THE DEPOSIT. WHAT THE??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? This has to be the most dishonest. Rude, lying, scamming, no good, worthless realty company I've ever came across! SOLDIERS BEWARE!!! As long as you never move from one of their properties you may be okay. I had set up a walk thru the day we were leaving, however they failed to show up and did not even give me a courtesy call to let me know. This caused me to get on the road an hour later than I could have as I waited and waited, then finally called to see if they were on their way. In addition, we gave them our forwarding address to our new home it took them longer than the 30 days to give back our deposit their excuse they did not have our forwarding address. Then when we got it they nickel and dimed us. We left that house in way better condition than we found it. When we took possession of the property there was dog poop in the yard, nail holes, and it was not clean. We paid $300 for their recommended cleaner and painted all the nail holes, landscaped the front yard, you name it and we did it. We took care of that house like it was our own however, they charged us for every little thing they could!! They charged us $250 in repairs (they annotated the charges to the owner but did not give us what each repair charge was for us). Oh and god for bid you have a extra pet (this I mean fish....they will charge you $500 if you do not pay the deposit!!). I did not realize a fish would count...it was a beta fish in a small fish bowl! Crappy company...DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!! Oh and once you move out they are just plain rude to you too!!! read more
