I love this restaurant and it's a must if you're in spanish fork, people often expect smaller businesses to handle things the way that big businesses do and that's unfair to compare. The salsa is amazing here, duh, and everything is so fresh and I am never disappointed by this place. They're also super quick to clean the tables in between customers which I really appreciated :)

This is a solid option if you want a great portion of tasty Mexican food and a great price. Full burritos range around $7.50 and come with everything you need to craft the perfect toppings (Pico, bomb salsa/avocado sauce) Very tasty and left me feeling full and sleepy. Good signs of a hearty meal. The Salsa here is mixed with avocado and it creates an incredible creamy salsa. I could eat this stuff on its own.

Disappointing to see this approach to a price increase. Raise prices. Then raise wages. Just don't go about it this way. You've shifted the burden to the customer. Something that should be optional is now nearly mandatory. And to avoid it, the customer has to awkwardly ask the very employee they're pulling the tip from to remove it. Very poor management decision.

I love their salsa! Yes, it's similar to Costa Vida and Cafe Rio. But I'll take their salsa any day!! And between all of similar chains I'll pick them and Costa. I also love that they give you a lil bit of chips and salsa with your burrito

We were happy with our food at casa salsa. It was very comparable to the similar cafe rio, costa vida, etc. I would agree that their salsa is good, different, but good. I don't know about the best in the world but I did buy a to go order of salsa when we left cause it was tasty. I don't understand why an unlimited salsa bar isn't here with lots of amazing salsa types to choose from. I feel they need something more like a salsa bar to edge out the other Mexican food chains. Would go back again.

They make the claim of having the very best salsa, I couldn't wrap my taste buds around it just did not do it for me. Next I ordered the pork taco's they looked very good on the little tin plate but once I took my first bite I was over come with the most sickening sweet flavor. It was like eating birthday cake covered in syrup, I could not eat more than a few bites the beans and rice were good. Wife had the chicken taco's hers were OK just way to hot. I used a coupon and I felt they were over priced. read more

I eat here all the time! It amazes me that people who go into a Mexican restaurant would be upset that the salsa is avocado based, not tomato based. You usually have to pay extra for guac everywhere you go, so enjoy it! The flavor is unique and I really like it. The food is more flavorful than Bajio or Costa Vida or wherever you want to compare it to, its is definitely more fresh, and I like that it is small and more personable. The chips are light and crispy and perfectly salted. They have secret menu items if you do go there enough to know. The owner is super nice. I took a star off because recently I've noticed there is less meat used in pretty much everything. The last burrito I got was a bean/rice burrito with a few pork shreds, but I ordered a pork burrito... I'm concerned why the quality has dropped a little here. read more

We waited 20 minutes to order. We ordered a small nacho and a chimichanga. Then it was another 30 waiting for our food. After the 30 min, an employee came out and told us they were out of Salza and that's what was taking so long. We could either wait longer for them to make more, which is what I thought we were waiting for, or get extra pico. We chose the pico. I was tired of waiting. When we got our food home it was cold, we had soggy chips. We only live half a mile away. Very disappointed. Will go to rio or costa next time. read more

Everyone has heard me rave about Casa Salza. It is fabulous! The Salza is soooo good. We order a huge thing of it to take home with us each time. And the fish tacos are outstanding. I highly recommend this place. read more

We had a terrible experience today at Casa Salza. Even though there were only two other groups in the restaurant, the wait was unreal. We finally got our kids burrito (but not the adult meal), but they had put sour cream in it when I asked for a burrito with beans and cheese only. Mistakes happen, so I took it back, and after another 10 minute wait they brought the correct burrito out. We still didn't have our adult meal. We waited another 10 minutes and got our burrito, but they also made it incorrectly. When we asked for them to remake the adult burrito without black beans as we had ordered, they said it 'didn't have that many black beans' (not true), so we just had to eat it as is. What?? After discussing for a while with the completely unhelpful employees, we finally just asked for a refund and left. Seriously bad kitchen and service today. read more

We have eaten here since they opened. Food and the staff has always been great. they are different then cafe rio/and that other place, a little smaller and not as fancy, but the food and the service make up for it. My wife and daughter always use the drive-up window when possible but not here. Between the three of us, i think we have tried everything on the menu, the sweet pork anything is my favorite, (salads, tacos etc.) Dine in or take out, you can't go wrong. read more

Not authentic Mexican. There, you've been warned. But very yummy. it's rather Cafe Rio style, except for their salsa. Their salsa, or salza as they call it, has avocado in it. It makes it creamy and unique. I like to just get the salsa sometimes and nothing else; it's that good. read more

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Spanish Fork. The pork and steak are both Amazing! The salsa is also very good. A must try is the sconuts, it's a cross between a scone and and a sugared doughnut. The sconuts are made fresh to order. read more

History

Established in 2011.

Casa Salza's origins stem from a home-made salsa recipe that was meant to be shared with the world. David Wyson (the owner) experimented for years with salsa recipes and kept refining his favorite one until what we know as "Salza" was born. His family and friends kept telling him that it was good enough to sell, and, entrepreneur that he is, he began doing just that. He tried different venues for selling his salsa, like gas stations and parade booths. These ventures helped validate the popularity of the salsa but weren't viable methods to grow a business, and the delicate nature of fresh salsa made online selling impractical. There was only one answer: to follow through with one of David's life-long dreams and open a restaurant. With a lot of effort and help from family and friends, Casa Salza opened quietly in September, 2011. It began only offering Salza, Quesadillas, and Nachos, but grew item by item, recipe by recipe, into the amazing restaurant we are today!

Meet the Manager: Melody M.

Melody is the current manager at Casa Salza. Knowing the owners for quite some time, she offered to help at the started of the business. Over time she because a valuable and invested employee, until she was made manager in 2016. Melody is passionate about Casa Salza, the employees, food and customers.

The cheesesteak is made with thinly sliced steak cooked fresh on the grill with onions and peppers and mushroom mushrooms. I don't get the peppers. They give me heartburn. But the way they cook this is so awesome. The steak is always tender and juicy. And they use a little bit of salt use a little bit of salt, but a lot of black pepper. And that's what I love. And then they melt the provolone cheese on top and then put it all in one of the softest tastiest best buns I ever ever eaten. I got the full-size. They also have a half size and a monster size. They have expanded their menu to include pastrami. But I will always get the steak and everything.

5 stars you may ask? To start out, the music they have playing here is not like any place. They play it right off of Pandora on a TV, and I've even had the service of one of the employees asking me what I wanted to listen too. They also have a free wifi service for their customers to connect to, which I thoroughly enjoyed. 2 stars for that alone. An additional star for the welcoming employees/staff. Very personal, family oriented place. Got to talk to the owner as well, and he was very helpful, and kind. 4th star for the convenience of the drive up window for takeout. especially in winter if you Utahans know what i mean! and the 5th and most difficult star for the food! yes, the food is fantastic! Every food item I've had here is delicious! and I firmly believe none of it would taste that way were it not for the salsa. The salsa IS different, and I'll say I was reluctant at first, but I definitely do not regret trying it. I give this local family restaurant a high recommendation. read more

I really like this place. When I initially started going I only really went for the "salza" because I had heard that their burritos weren't so great. But then I got a wild hair and decided to try their steak burrito with red sauce and it was the bomb. If you haven't tried the salza, you have to try it. It's super good and it seems like the chips are made fresh. Only reason this isn't a five star is because places like outback exist and nothing can be as great as outback. read more

This place is amazing. laid back feel and delicious flavors. The salsa is very original and flavorful. Obviously very premium ingredients which explains why its not free but you get what you pay for in this world. Loved the 80s music playing and the fact that the people spoke english. Its not authentic but I dont like authentic, I like Americanized Mexican food. Try the pork tacos they are incredible. 5 stars for this little gem in Spanish Fork UT! read more

We don't live close to Casa Salza but every time we are in the area or are passing through we eat there. The sign on the wall says that the Salza is addictive and that is no lie. I am a huge fan of the Salza. In my opinion the pork tacos are better than those of other similar restaurants and my kids love the Pina Coladas, and dillas. The customer service here is always phenomenal, and the food is so delicious! You seriously can't order a bad entree. And the salsa is unique and cravable, it really has made a name for itself.
