I took my family here to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Ordered a margarita....then it was a shit show. Showed ID, which is valid, BTW. The waitress couldn't seem to read an ID...came back and asked for the ID after she already checked it. Do the math! If it is 2026, if it says today and any day prior in the year 2005....then the person is 21. A person of age has the right to order a drink....what is your problem? Nice atmosphere, great staff. the food was... okay. My burrito was TINY. It was smaller than what you see on most kids menus. The Rellanos were ok. Not great. Not the best green chili. No spice. We had quite the spread at our table, and while there were no complaints, it also didn't knock anyone off of their feet. We did show up at a sort of odd time of the afternoon. After lunch, but before dinner. Maybe if we were there during dinner or lunch it would have been better? The food had the feeling that it had been in a warmer or something. Food bad. Cacique cheese used in Chile Relleno was flaky in consistency, not melted, the only thing inside it. This was a delivery. Either it was never prepared properly with heat, or this particular cheese always comes like this. There wasn't a green chili inside, just that flaky stuff with a fishy taste. I ordered the crispy version, received a soggy one. It was inedible. The second item was the vegetarian burrito. It was just as bad, appeared to have never been heated. It was dry, mainly filled with rice with a little black bean. Also inedible. The only good thing was the queso dip ordered as a side. I spent 42$ for subpar, inedible food imo. read more

The BEST restaurant you'll find in a 30-mile radius. Everything was a 10/10 from the chip and salsa appetizer, the entré, dessert. I mean EVERYTHING. Staff is also very welcoming and attentive. The service was friendly and swift. I had the chicken tortilla soup. It was loaded with chicken and avocado but was a bit salty. The chips and salsa were brought out shortly after being seated. The salsa was good - not just mild tomato sauce. We were seated in a booth overlooking the mountains. The atmosphere was bright and colorful. Excellent! Wish they would remove all old comments, because this is NEW management and they rock. We had avoided this place for years because of the awful service and food. Now, I am craving my "Sombrero plate" It is the Carnita's plate. YUM. Big juicy well seasoned pieces of pork. Beans are yummy, the rice is cooked right and seasoned. It comes with a side of some spicy green sauce (YUM). I could drink it. It is so good and spicy. The Mexican hamburger and the juevos rancheros are all good! Our group stopped in after hiking at Staunton State Park. The 7 of us were each very pleased with our orders. Service was prompt and pleasant. The queso is undoubtedly the BEST we all had ever had. The guacamole was chunky and good as was the salsa. I'm a relleno snob and it was delicious as was the chimichanga. The server and host were so nice. Maybe speaking Spanish with them helps with that. I'm not much of a drinker, I ordered the classic margarita and found it to be delicious because the lime juice is fresh squeezed. They serve in a small traditional margarita cup. Get this it was $7.99!! OMG! Although my glass had a little chip off of it. The salsa has a little kick, though it's nothing to write home about. The portions are huge. The chips are passable, but not great. I have mixed feelings about posting this, but I am superspoiled from great Mexican cuisine in my home area. Decided to try this place despite the bad reviews. I will say the service is very great. The food came out very quick, even though we had a large table. They constantly checked on us to see what else we needed. Great customer service and the restrooms were very clean as well. We ordered quite a few different things on the menu. Most of our dishes were fairly good. Some items were a little overcooked. I ordered one of my favorite dishes, Camarones a La Diabla. However, I noticed there were a lot of mushrooms mixed in with shrimp. I love mushrooms, but mushrooms with this dish is not traditionally typical. I did notice a lot of menu items had mushrooms with them? I didn't want to disrespect the cook or this establishment. So instead of sending the dish back, I just ordered the Chile Verde. The Chile Verde was very good. I will say the menu is massive. It took quite a while for us to decide what to order. The menu is a little overpriced. We're from the Bay Area. But this place was more expensive than the Mexican Restaurants here in California. Overall the staff were great and this place has a lot of potential. I really wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars because of the customer service and friendly staff. If they can do some fine tuning to the menu, this place has great potential. read more

We love the people who work here. They are very nice and hard working to attend to you. We had the chicken taquitos and shrimp cocktail. Love them both. They did a great job on the shrimp cocktail and we feel we are a bit of snob when it comes to shrimp cocktail since a great Mexican restaurant in Alamosa makes super great one. It's worth a try here. If you want enough salsa to eat the basket of complimentary chips, it'll cost you an extra $1. If you want an unsweetened tea with your lunch special, it'll cost you an extra $3.50. Vast improvement over the old 3 Margaritas. I rarely eat the rice and beans at many Mex restaurants, but theirs were excellent. Carnitas were tasty and moist and the Al Pastor was rather sweet, but very good. We had dinner here and left a happy customer! The servers were very attentive and brought out complementary chips and salsa immediately after we sat down. We eat here on Sundays after a long day of working at the stables. We have usually worked up a good appetite and this place is our weekly treat! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for my daughter and I to just relax and bond. The staff here are always friendly and attentive but today they went above and beyond! We ordered takeout the order was incomplete it was for my wife's birthday and when I called from home. They let me know if I drove down they could replace my meal. That would leave us to eat separately if we wanted hot food their solution was to buy another meal for my wife since that meal was correct. Any restaurant that's this unwilling to make their mistake right is running on such a tight budget I believe they would sacrifice quality and customer health to make a buck good luck.
