Server was incredible the issue was the manager Daniel who had his servers serving him dinner while watching a game on tv at the bar. We asked to add shrimp to our beef burrito and was told it was one price then was charged extra for the shrimp and ground beef saying the server didn't explain the up charge correctly and instead of apologizing for the inconvenience he suggested he can charge us more by breaking it out another way as if he was doing us a favor charging 30$ for a burrito, Terrible manager great server. Manager should never blame a server but apologize and take ownership which was not the case at all. read more

I thought I would give this business a second try because it's local to the community but the service and food was awful. The food we received included refried beans that tasted like they were from the previous day reheated. We also ordered drinks from the bar and my friend who was with me received a glass of wine that had lipstick stains on it. It was so disgusting that we were scared to eat the food and she didn't drink any of her drink. Not going here again. I don't know if this place just rinses glassed at the bar but this was beyond disgusting. read more

Beat Mexican food ever. The salsa and chips was so deliciousness, the salsa was perfect! The asado pork dish was flavorful and extremely tasty!!! The Chipotle chicken was absolutely amazing. I thought I was at a 5 star French restaurant how the sauce was made. The sangria was great as well. You must try this place. It's the BEST Mexican restaurant I've EVER been to. The churro Sunday was decadent made with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and of course, churros with custard filling. 5 stars! The waitress was the best and informative with quick service and did I mention simply adorable! The ambiance is well put together and very clean. Wow! This was hands down the best overall dining experience we've had in ages. When I looked at other reviews and saw ppl saying "this is the best ______ I've ever had!", I rolled my eyes a bit. And now I'm going to say in all seriousness: this was the best queso fundido I've ever had. It was perfect! And I grew up in Phoenix and have been in Denver 10 years and consider myself a queso/Mexican food snob. Literally every part of our meal was great; excellent margaritas, fantastic cilantro salsa, exceptional fresh corn tortillas with the fundido, delicious and generous entrees (I had the steak chimi and my wife had a carnitas stuffed sopapilla), and a simple but yummy churro sundae for dessert. George provided great service and always made sure we had everything we needed. Nice atmosphere with great Mexican music playing. I'll be honest, I had pretty low expectations based on the location, but I've never been so glad to be wrong. This place is not just well worth a stop if you're in Conifer, I will be making the trip from Denver specifically to enjoy Los 3Garcias again. We are locals and have dined here many times! It's probably the best Mexican food Ive ever had. They have yet to let me down. Sometimes they are short staffed and have one waitress running everything on the floor, but it's obvious to see that. She is still patient, doesn't make you feel rushed and has a friendly manner when interacting with you. I don't understand the one stars, my guess would be they've never worked in the industry. Sadly we were very disappointed with your Mother's Day Brunch, food was cold, wasn't much food out and not refilled quickly. Basically had eggs, enchiladas and Chile for $30. Seemed they were very low staffed. One waiter who never checked in with us, certainly not worth the $38 gratuity we were charged on a $257. bill. FOUND METAL IN MY FOOD, I got the tacos and found a metal string in my food from what seems to be a grill cleaner. I politely told the server about it to which she took it and reassured it would be comped. I ordered more food and ate while my family was done eating and watched me eat a whole meal just for the server to come back and say her management won't comp the meal because they're "cheap". I've been here three times in the past two months, and they crushed it every time. It's an incredible menu--pretty much everything I've ever seen in a Denver-area restaurant all in one place, and it's not a matter of biting off more than they can chew. Based on what I've had, they do everything well. Including menudo, which is a pretty good barometer of the quality of a Mexican place. Theirs is excellent. So are the tortas, the green chili, the chips and salsa, the guacamole, the draft selection--everything I've tried. The menu is so long and has delivered so reliably that my wife has a list of 22 things she's looking forward to trying. I've lived in Conifer for almost 20 years and had no idea till recently that we had such an authentic Mexican place in our little mountain town. Beef tongue tacos--who knew? Suffice it to say that in the coming months, we'll be making up for lost time as fast as we can. read more

The house margarita did not disappoint although they also offer a variety of flavours. Chile Rellenos were perhaps some of the best our family has had! One crispy, one soft, both brimming with cheese and just the right spice from the poblano. Another had Carne Asada - meat was perfectly cooked and tender and the guacamole served alongside was great. Another had a special taco featuring ham, bacon, chicken and chorizo if recalled correctly...overflowing with flavour! Service was top notch - there was a now hiring sign on the door (who isn't with Covid!) but the servers inside delivered on point and with a smile! Will definitely return to this gem! read more

Like most of the restaurants in the mountain area on the 285 corridor, I'm fairly confused as to why this place has such a low Yelp rating; and knowing this ahead of our visit, I was pleasantly surprised to find this establishment live up to all my standards for a decent Mexican Restaurant in Colorado. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon around 3 for a late lunch. The sun was out and it was warm so we opted for the Patio, but the interior decor was also pleasant and the restaurant was clean. Not too loud and a good temperature. The patio space is very pleasant with a great view of the sky and mountains and not too much traffic noise. Bathrooms were clean and sparkly. Service was prompt and very friendly. We were checked on multiple times at good intervals and had our water and drinks refilled in a timely fashion. Our food came out in a reasonable time and was piping hot. It's worth noting that there were only maybe 6-7 other tables full in the whole restaurant, but the amount of staff also reflected the slow time of day that we stopped in and service was great. Our waitress picked up on the fact we were Vegetarian immediately and made recommendations. She was awesome! The menu is great and they have an entire section of Vegetarian options! You could easily order a few items sans cheese and make it vegan. Their refried beans have lard, so kosher or veges won't be able to eat them, but their black beans (vegan) were so good! Healthier too ;) Also; Veggie tamales!! Although I didn't get them this time, I want to come back and try them! My veggie fajitas were on point. Hubs combo meal of Chile relleno (soft, because if you order them crispy you're a monster), bean burrito and guac tostada was also very delicious. My only critique would be to add mushrooms to the fajitas; they had a great flavor but only had green bell peppers and onions. Maybe I'll ask next time to add mushrooms ;) it would make them more complete. Also the house salsa had great flavor but was a little thin, more like a hot sauce than salsa, but that's personal preference. Last but not least I ordered a house skinny Marg (because reg. Margs have mix) and it was really good! So we good we each got 2 :) We also ordered takeout since we visited and that was also good! We'll be back! read more

Our experience at the restaurant was just ok. The server was doing her best to keep up with the Saturday afternoon lunch crowd, but she had too many tables to provide good service. I tried to flag multiple people to try and get utensils delivered to me lunch was delivered. Finally, a neighboring table took pity on us and gave us their utensils, since they didn't have any food yet. The food was ok. The pork green chile platter and the Carne Asada were both so-so, but nothing I'd go out of my way go get again. Warning: They charge extra for a second basket of chips or another order of salsa (the first one is on the house). But neither are great, so you won't want seconds anyway. read more

As a recommendation from a friend we tried it. It was very good! She recommended the lava bowl. I had the 1st one listed:Molcajetes Cielo Mary Tierra which had shrimp, chicken and steak. This was probably one of the best dishes I eaten in a loooooong time. It was expensive but well worth it and it could have easily been shared with another. $25.00. I would definitely recommend it this dish to others. My family also enjoyed the food. It was not spicy however. My family and myself did enjoy the chips and salsa. I live near Los 3 Garcias and eat here with my friends and family often. The food here good with a several great standouts. I personally love the Molcajete Bowl and their Carnitas. The combination plates are always the best bang for your buck if you want a lot of food. Their crispy chili rellanos are also a hit. Generally we get great service, however, from time to time the are understaffed in the front and back of house and service can be slow. I feel like their operations have improved dramatically since when they first opened. Lastly, on sunny day in Colorado, it is hard to find a more peaceful and pleasant view in the Denver-Metro area. I love having a Top Shelf Margarita on the porch on a summer day and looking over the lake. read more

Food was nasty and cold! It's one of those places off the side of the road where you stop, hoping to get good food, and then you realize that the food is horrible and a one time stop. You're never going to go back here. If you are doing a road trip and driving by, please do your research. This is the THIRD Mexican restaurant in this space - we're hopeful they make a go of it. For the most part, the "new restaurant team" issues have been resolved. The wait staff are proactive and friendly. The food is REALLY GOOD. Hot, tasty. It's not innovative but I wouldn't expect that from a mountain town Mexican restaurant. Both nights we came in there was a steady stream of customers in the bar and the restaurant side. That's a very good sign - and consistent traffic is what this place needs to survive.
