My husband was craving a steak and wanted to find a reasonably priced steak at a local restaurant. Vincent's Steakhouse delivered a wonderful meal. Hubby got the strip steak with mac n cheese and sauted spinach. I had the boneless ribeye with Parmesan garlic potatoes and mushrooms and onions. The steaks were cooked beautifully and delicious! The sides were yummy, too. Our appetizer was the mussels in scampi sauce and although the mussels were tiny the scampi sauce was excellent! And we had the Fall Sangria which was fabulous! They really are excellent and have great customer support. I have been to Vincent's Steakhouse many times and they always have delicious meals and drinks. My Women's group had an Anniversary Party at Vincent's that was amazing. We were a very large group and we were very impressed with their hospitality and service. 3rd Times not the charm. Went for a last minute Valentine's Day dinner. Ordered the baked clams, mostly bread crumbs. I had the porterhouse for my main and while the filet portion was very good, the rest was inedible. I could barely cut it, it was fatty and gristle. I so wish this was a better spot. Its a great place, service is fantastic, atmosphere is really nice, its one of those non formal steak houses. The drinks where great, seafood aps very tasty. We had the porterhouse for 2, perfectly cooked. Odd was we only had 2 side choice but we god mac and cheese and creamed spinach. Both were ok but could use some focus and jazzing up. Service was excellent, drinks kept coming, and very friendly. The ambiance was real nice, casual dressed, not loud but not quiet.(in a good way). The food was outstanding started with the hummus, and the shrimp. It was so good the three of us ordered a 2nd round. We then had a 40 oz porterhouse & a filet mignon followed with cream spinach, mashed potatoes, & steak fries. Dessert, to much to type. Tough to review this place because the service was really good towards the end but none of us really enjoyed our meal and said we wouldn't come back. We walked in Sunday 2:30pm. There are about 5-6 tables occupied. We stand there for a bit. No hostess, looked like only waitress was making drinks. After standing there awkwardly for a few minutes the waitress instructs us to sit where we want. We came for restaurant week so we order from there. Hubby orders steak well done, don't judge him, and when he cut it I knew he wouldn't like it but he's not one to return food so he did his best. Honestly it was red. Went there for the first time to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. At the end of the meal, they made a beautiful cake slice presentation and fuss over her birthday, which we didn't ask for they just did it on their own! We all ordered off the brunch menu, and I had the cannoli cream French toast, oh my God it might've been one of the best things I've ever eaten! Our waitress was so adorable and friendly. Service was horrible. Had to ask for water after given our table and waiting 15 minutes. It was Saturday night at 7:00 and place was empty. Steak was very good, but wife got only salad for dinner and they must have forgotten it. She didn't get it until 10 mins after I got my dinner. One person in our party was still eating when they took all others' plates away. I felt bad bc it made that person feel like everyone was watching her eat. For dessert waiter came out for my first AND second choice telling me they didn't have it, but got my third choice for free making up for it. Just ate there last night after reading the reviews. Wanted to support a local restaurant instead of big chains like Ruth Chris Steakhouse. The four of us enjoyed all of our food, and our server was very accommodating. The pricing was good as compared to other steakhouses. We had the special appetizer calamari was ok. The Barada salad was excellent. We had Serf & Turf, pork chops, shrimp, and lobster, risotto, and filet mignon for dessert. We had Keylime pie, cheesecake, Apple Walnut slice all were very, very good but the tiramisu was egh. This is definitely worth checking out . read more

On Friday night, I went to Vincent's Steakhouse in Wantagh. We decided to give it a try, especially since there were so many excellent reviews on Facebook in the local groups. My friend and I are both foodies so it is nice to give great feedback for a place that truly deserves it. The staff are very hard working and accomodating. Vincent, the owner, made room for us even though we made a last-minute reservation. He is truly a great guy who runs a wonderful establishment. There is limited parking out front but plenty out back. The interior of the restaurant is simple but classy. On Friday nights, there are live bands. The band played a lot of songs from the Rat Pack. It was quite a sophisticated atmosphere. There is no dress code, but most people dressed appropriately. There were a few young couples dressed in jeans, but that's their generation for you. Vincent's has a very nice cocktail selection and wine selection to choose from. On their main menu, the appetizers are very appealing. You may wind up trying more than you can eat. We opted to try their pre fixe menu for Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious! Jessica, our beautiful and ever so polite server, recommended the Beer Cheese Soup. It was spectacular, to say the least. I normally would never have tried it, but all of her suggestions were spot on. My friend ordered the mussels, which came with a zesty broth, just the smell of the garlic made your mouth water. They served us cornbread with jalapeños and a cinnamon butter. The bread was fabulous, but I'm not a fan of the cinnamon, so we opted for regular whipped butter. The portions are not skimpy whatsoever. In fact, there was a lot of food leftover that we took home. This is the perfect spot for date night, getting together with friends or family or even dining alone. The music just makes the environment very inviting. Vincent's on Fridays is great. Food, service and waitstaff are all terrific and for added enjoyment the music of Tom Smith adds to the experience. Tom plays and sings everything from Americas songbook to the Beatles- in fact when he sings in Italian it is pure joy! Service was good. Sangria was excellent. But the steak was disappointing to be honest. A steakhouse without a bone in ribeye just doesn't do it for me. The dry aged ribeye was thin, a little overdone for the ordered rare temp, and unexpectedly came with a sauce poured over it. It just wasn't worth it in my opinion. Can get a better not dry aged, but prime ribeye, larger and bone in, not too far away. Will keep an eye on reviews and if they change it up, would consider returning. read more

This is a hidden gem. Very nice decor inside. Food is fantastic with nice portions. A little pricey but I think it's well worth a visit especially for a special occasion or date night. Steak fatty. Portions small. Chicken was fake looking and oddly shaped round pieces, extremely chewy. We just said to ourselves maybe its us. With the pre-fix menu you get a dessert. We asked for the cheesecake to go. Didn't even look at it in the restaurant. When we got home we took it out of the bag and its moldy. We will definitely not be back. I really wanted to like this place. The appetizers were delicious and I thought we were going to be in for a good night. Very good french onion soup. However the steaks left a lot to be desired. While they were cooked perfectly as ordered, there was absolutely zero seasoning. Not an ounce of salt or pepper. The house steak sauce tasted like ketchup. Chocolate cake for dessert was nothing special; it tasted like cake from a diner. We went on a weeknight and the place was empty. It said the steak was dry aged on the menu but it didn't taste like it. They were tasteless. If you call yourself a steakhouse and have steakhouse prices you expect better. To top it all off they charge the dreaded 3.6% credit card fee which I've never seen a true steakhouse do (most people don't carry around hundreds of dollars unless Peter Lugers). The servers were awesome... friendly and knew the menu well. I feel bad saying this but unfortunately I don't think I'll be back. read more

I took my family to Vincent's last night and couldn't of been happier with the food and service. We all ordered different things ranging from steak, pasta, burgers and a Caesar salad and my entire family loved the food that was served. I typically don't review restaurants unless I am impressed by the food. I will say that the portions aren't huge and you'll probably not be taking home left overs but I feel that the portions were a perfect size for my family and nothing was over priced. The food took an hour to come out when there were only about 5 tables. The service was not good! Waitress was not attentive at all. My child's burger was asked to come out as soon as it's ready that took over an hour. There was no manager at all! All the customers were always looking for someone for help. Only 2 waitresses. This should be called Vincent's Burgers not Steakhouse! Even the burger was not good! Way overpriced not worth the money spent. Overall bad, service and horrible food. My friend and I came here to try the Restaurant Week lunch menu. Vincent's exceeded all expectations. Usually, Restaurant Week menu items are hit or miss but Vincent's went so all out on their selection that we felt as if we were "stealing" our meals because the value was so good. We started with the Beer Cheese soup and the Steak Tacos. The flavors were so rich! I was especially impressed with the soup, which I am told is not yet a menu staple. For our main course, we each had the French Dip with sweet potato fries. French dips can be hit or miss, with dry flavorless meat and au jus that's mostly salt. Not so with Vincent's. Up until now, Homestead was my favorite French dip on Long Island but Vincent's is absolute perfection. The sweet potato fries were crisp and delicious, too. Dessert was chocolate mousse cake and cannoli and both were outstanding. It was easy to tell how freshly made our desserts were. What made our experience truly unforgettable was the excellent service by Frank. He's extremely knowledgeable about the menu and happy to recommend items. We're looking forward to seeing him again soon! While pictures would have made this review even better, we were so excited to try everything that we didn't think of it. Next time!
