    Pulcinella Salad Restaurant Style
    Alannah T.

Pulcinella is such a great spot for a nice Italian dinner, especially for a celebration. I went for a birthday with a big group, and it was the perfect place for it. The menu is a really good size with plenty of options, including gluten-free choices. Since I'm gluten-free right now, I kept it simple and ordered a salad, but it was honestly so good and fresh that I didn't feel like I was missing out. That said, the pasta dishes coming out to the table looked absolutely delicious, and everyone in the group loved their meals. You could tell the food quality was consistently solid across the board. The service really stood out, everyone was so attentive and on top of things, which made the whole experience even better. We went on a Wednesday night, so it was pretty quiet, but I can easily see this place getting packed on weekends. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation during peak times. For dessert, we shared a huge platter with ice cream, cannolis, and cake, and everything was delicious. It was the perfect way to end the night. Overall, such a great experience, I'd definitely go back!

We were a party of 17 and our waiter did phenomenal with us! He was so attentive, got everything correct, catered to allergies, and gave us a wonderful experience! Ambiance is so light and bright with lovely decor. Plenty of seating, but it got crowded, so I would say make a reservation for a large party. Food was outstanding! Portions were huge, and we still managed to devour everything! The appetizer meat platter is a must, there is a good amount of meat and a variety of olives, cheeses, etc. The calamari was cooked perfectly. The pulcinella salad was loaded with flavor - avocado, clementine, roasted walnuts, and the orange dressing was exceptional. A lot of us got the specials - everything was so delicious. The veal chop bruschetta was so big! Definitely big enough to share. The lamb chops were juicy and nice and tender. A lot of fish dishes as well, and everything was tasty. The orata fish special was butterflied with a nice display and great taste. The dessert platter was a must even after eating all the food! The gelatos were so fresh, and there was a nice variety of cakes. You can't go wrong with anything here, we will definitely be back to explore the menu some more!

Very attentive service and delicious food. The atmosphere is lovely. Worth every penny!

Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was delicious and came out quickly! I ordered the chicken sinatra, my husband had the spicy gnocchi, and we had a caesar salad to start. There wasn't a moment when my water was empty, the bus boys were on top of everything. The ambiance was beautiful and inviting. We will definitely return for another great meal! 10/10!

Got delivery this afternoon and had to pop on here to rave about how good this garlic knot pizza was! My daughter loves garlic knots and obviously enjoys a slice of pizza so I thought it might be fun to order this pie and it exceeded my expectations! We got half sausage and mushroom for my daughter's preference and half plain for my son. The pizza arrived hot, wasn't soggy, had a great garlic flavor, and cooked perfectly. Cannot wait to try more from this place!

My wife and I chose this place because my father and uncle both rave about it. My wife ordered a pasta dish with eggplant in it, she thought it was excellent. She really liked the worm like macaroni they used in the dish, lol. I had gotten squid ink linguini with all kinds of seafood in it. It was very good! For dessert we ordered fried canollis, which were very reminiscent to zeppoles. Extremely tasty! The price for the dessert was a touch high, but overall we thought the food and service was great. Giuseppe was a very nice guy, very accommodating. We would definitely go back, and I see why my family enjoys it here so much.

My friend wanted to try so we stopped in, I got the NY Style round and a Roman Styler Diavola (Hot Soppressata, Cherry Peppers, Mikes Hot Honey, Burrata). I wasn't expecting much, but was blown away. The Traditional NY Style was a 10 out of 10 - Crispy crust that still had some chew to it, flavorful sauce but not artificially sweet, savory Mozzarella, salty romano cheese and topped with fresh basil leaves. Delicious and the best I have had on Long Island. The Diavola Slice was also impressive. The flavor punch of the Cherry Peppers, Soppressata coupled with the sweetness of the hot honey were a perfect match for the fluffy roman crust. I definitely think the toppings matter with the roman style crust, if it too delicate then the crust overpowers the slice. Not with this, the Diavola gets a 9 out of 10 for a specialty slice. Great Pizza.

The place remains popular as it was quite busy for a weekday evening when I went in. Despite that, I ordered immediately, they move very quickly and the service was good + fast! According to one of the staff members, they're known for their buffalo chicken and bbq chicken slices. I ordered buffalo chicken, the Serra, and a regular pepperoni. The pepperoni was my favorite. The buffalo chicken slice was fairly decent considering I don't care for other buffalo chicken slices. It appeared to be popcorn chicken tossed in buffalo sauce and with a light drizzle of blue cheese dressing on top, so hard to mess up. Additionally the Serra was fine as well, possibly needing a boost in the flavors (or salt) since it was just sauce. It seems like a decent, casual place to sit in and grab a quick bite, they had some cocktails on the menu that looked interesting and I'll keep in mind for next time. Overall, I look forward to coming back and trying other items

And with hungry stomachs and excitement we decided we see they have a back patio let's eat there. While the space is nicely decorated we saw several staff talking to tables and making eye contact with us and not waiting us. We stayed for another few minutes before we found another staff member and asked if we could just grab a table or do we need to wait. We aren't familiar but given the previous man didn't acknowledge us maybe we could just self sit. The women told us she will be right with us and proceeded giving the other customers water. We said ok and patiently waited. I asked the gentleman at the bar if he could give location for restroom. I took my toddler with me to the long walk around. They really could use a bathroom in the back. But regardless, we went and were hoping to see we had a table on the return. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. My husband was still standing around. We waited for 15 minutes, mind you there were plenty of empty tables. I see this place has amazing reviews, I can't tell if this is just a local spot and they just service them but truly it was baffling to see several people working yet no one could give us a table. Disappointed that this was a save on our list and couldn't even taste it. Poor service

I see my friends mostly at wakes now and my ride fell down on me, so here in Jamaica i stand. For all who've not been, it is about the dirtiest, most germy place per square foot in NYCs transportation world. Its the kind of place I hope you'll never ever see in your life. Everybody's bumping into you and yelling about track changes, looking like a bunch of morons who think they're going somewhere important. Anyway, I ended up getting off at Massepequa and going to Leonardo's Pizza hoping they had a beer but they didn't, figures. First, I had the Italian Wedding Soup. It arrived looking like a drowned swamp with all those stringy, pale noodles swirling around in the broth like a bunch of white wigglers, similarto what i had for first lunchies. They were just sitting there next to these limp green leaves and the carrots were just floating in it. It's like the soup is trying to convince you it's healthy, but the whole thing just looks depressing. You take a bite, and it tastes, well, it tastes rather good, but the name is what really gets me. "Italian Wedding Soup." That's a odd name if I ever heard one. What does soup have to do with getting married? It just makes you think of a bunch of grandmothers crying and guys in rented tuxedos talking about their golf handicaps and portfolios. Plus I'm never getting married again, never ever - i learned my lesson. Then came the Detroit Slice. It sat there on a paper plate next to my copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, which was the only thing in my whole damn life that's keeping me company. Look at the edge of that crust--it's burnt to a crisp. Black as night, dark as spadesbut maybetgats how they do it on Long Island. The sauce is piled right down the middle like a thick red streak, covered in all these little dried oregano herbs I applied. I sat there eating this cheesy crusted square, staring at Mark Twain on the cover, and I swear it made me feel sad. Not because the book is terrible, it reminded me of my childhood, another complete disaster. The pizza actually had that crispy, cheesy edge going for it, I'll give them that, but because it felt lonely eating alone in public,vi never do that. Me, Samuel Clements and a thick slice of pizza on a cheap paper plate. Next time I'll be sure to eat out with someone fun.
