Because it was the best part of the experience, I'll start with the service. This place is well-staffed (arguably overstaffed) and so service was quick and attentive. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and customer forward. The ambiance was great - lighthearted but professional. The dining area was very clean and the room was warm and well lit with natural light which made the space feel even cleaner and more inviting. The staff all had matching shirts (it was cinco de mayo so it's possible it was celebratory rather than the norm but it carried well either way) Now to the food. The food was enjoyable. It didn't wow me, but I definitely enjoyed my meal. The chips and salsa were on point. The flavor of the rice and beans were better than many others. The beef taco and enchilada were flavorful enough but had it not been for the salsa from the chips that I ended up adding, it would have been mediocre at best. But here's the thing... the value was not there. The food is overpriced. What you see in the photo was a $20 meal before tip - and his was the cheapest offering on their lunch menu. (The plate was $13 and the side of beans, $5) I had a water otherwise, I would've been closer to $25 for sure. So overall, a good experience. Good food, very good service, very clean and welcoming but the value was the biggest dent in the experience. I'm willing to go back and try other items onto the menu but I'm prepared now. Great food every time we order and we order at least once every two weeks! Every dish we have tried has been delicious.

It's kinda tucked away but once you know, you know. (It's near the Starbucks.) We visited during lunch hour and it wasn't too busy. The interior has a clean aesthetic. I love Mexican food, so this was a favorite of mine! My mom saw it on her TikTok FYP, so we decided to give it a try since we were in the area. I ordered one of their lunch combinations (#10). We stumbled upon Casa Tezcal while in the area one weekend and really enjoyed our lunch. Their lunch menu (including brunch) is available on weekends too and is priced slightly below the dinner menu. They also have a happy hour on Sat-Sun from 11-4 and on Mon-Fri from 2-6 that includes margaritas, wine, and beer and almost all of their appetizers. They have plenty of seating and the staff were very friendly. They provide complimentary chips and salsa. We tried the pork carnitas empanadas, steak fajitas, and the steak & rice. Good service by Josue despite a VERY busy early dinner rush. Place is very loud and seems to be family friendly. Food was good but could be better -- we enjoyed chips, salsa, and queso (needs a few chopped up jalapeños for a little zip!); shared chicken fajitas. We were expecting flour tortillas but received corn tortillas that were VERY thin and fell apart as soon as they had other food added to them. The chicken was minuscule pieces with no seasoning whatsoever. Peppers and onions were great and of good size. We'd probably try again earlier -- like for lunch -- but not get fajitas. read more

Came here with my sister for on a Sunday night for Margaritas and this place did not disappoint me at all. My sister got the strawberry on the rocks and I got the mango on the rocks and it was made perfectly. For the food, I got the Al pasted bowl which comes with steaks, beans and lettuce and rice. I was excepted it to be in a taco bowl but I'm glad it was in a regular hot bowl instead because the food stayed hot and it was good. The chips came out hot and the salsa was a good consistent. What a lovely place for a casual date night! We stopped here to enjoy the Fajitas for two. A generous serving of lightly seasoned beef, chicken, and shrimp and two places of sides (beans, rice, and pico de gallo) came out of the kitchen within 8 minutes of placing our order! Our server was on his a-game too - so pleasant, proactive, and attentive to anything we may need. I requested their house hot sauce to spice up my food a bit. I enjoyed the house habanero on my fajitas (they provided a container for me to take the leftovers home in too). I did have a virgin margarita as well and really enjoyed it. I ate here about 2 weeks ago, I think I arrived around 6:15 and the place was slammed so I was offered to wait 15 minutes or sit at the bar. Part of me thinks I should have waited the 15 minutes and been put at a table, but I sat on the far left of the bar against the wall and was pretty limited in my space since the host/hostess podium was right behind my chair. It took a while for my drink order to be taken, but when it was I ordered a small blanca margarita and it ended up being pretty mediocre. Waiting for someone to take my food order was an even longer process... I thought if I pushed my menu far enough away from me that the servers could tell I was ready to order but that trick either didn't work or it just wasn't noticed at all. I ordered the quesa birria and it was a pretty good plate of food, I finished everything. I hadn't eaten all day and was surprised that my first bite of food after 7 pm didn't end up being an earth shattering one, but I was content to have a plate of warm food I could inhale before having to rush back to the animal hospital down the road. If you go, maybe ask what drinks the servers/bartenders recommend (I'm pretty picky about my margaritas so I would suggest to steer clear of them unless you're told of another mixture/flavor that is supreme somehow?) and try to get a seat anywhere except the bar unless it's a slow time of day. read more

Made our first visit last evening with friends that had been here before. Their recommendation was spot on - it was outstanding! Plenty of seating, friendly staff. I had a house margarita and it was one of the best ever. The chips were fresh and warm, and the salsa was tangy and tasty but not "hot" - perfect. My dinner was the burrito Al Pastor and it was huge and delicious. I ended up eating half and taking half home. My wife had the Taco Salad (in a taco shell) and she said it was great. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and efficient, even though he was extremely busy and always on the move! We will definitely add this to our list of go-to places - highly recommend you try it out! read more

Two pieces of advice if you visit and enjoy margaritas: 1) Request their spicy mango salsa when they bring the chips (house is very bland) 2) Pay extra for premium margaritas. Hispanic food can sometimes all be the same. Same menu, heavy spices and cheese coating so thick you have to hunt for the food. There is a reason they do that. NOT Casa Tezcal, we were quite impressed with the service but the food, while menu familiar was what I call clean! The flavors were distinct and delicious. I had the Chiro Pollo, my go to favorite. The chorizo was not greasy and the chicken breast, while thin, was not dry and the cheese was just enough for flavor without drowning the other flavors. We will be back for sure! read more

We had a delicious meal! We started with chips and queso. The waiter brought us more chips as soon as we needed them. The raspberry margarita hit the spot too! I went with something I don't normally go with at a Mexican restaurant. I tried the Al Pastor tacos with pork and grilled pineapple. At first the waiter brought out a bowl version, but they brought out the tacos soon after. I could have used a little more pineapple on my tacos. I think each one had 1-2 pieces. The first time we ate at Casa Tezcal was on May 5th. I enjoyed the best eggs ranchero I've ever had. Each part of the dish was well prepared, and the flavors were the best. Each of the items at our table followed suit, excellent flavor with an upscale presentation. The mezcal margarita was wonderful, but I'm not sure of the name. They offer a wide selection of drinks as well as beer. Every time we visit the service is great and they go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience. I can see that some folks mentioned issues when it gets slammed, much like any other great restaurant. We were fortunate to arrive early before the crowds each time we ate there. Dinner with wife around 530pm. Restaurant is very clean. As well as outside. Everything still has the New look. Staff is polite and professional. We added the white sauce with our chips and it is very good. We ordered 1 taco, and the chicken bowl. Both arrived hot and fresh. The taco was a hard shell but the beef had made it limp. Everything had a good taste. Seems to be fairly priced for the portions and quality. The fountain drinks are somewhat pricey. We would like to return. read more
