The waitresses and staff were nice but going in mid day with the place empty I thought the service would have been faster. Clean, well kept, good price for amount. Came here with my co workers after work. Had great service and very efficient. We got our food 10 mins after we ordered. I got the mango margaritas and it was perfect. For dinner I got the white chimichangas with chicken. The chicken was very juicy and the crust of the chimichangas was crispy. The rice and beans are a classic taste. The restaurant has a nice ambience and a large seating area. We were on our way home and took takeout. The food was ready for pickup in 10mins after the phone order which was great. The food however was highly disappointing. We ordered the Tacos de Birria with chicken and the Casa Vallarta fajitas with chicken. Both were very bland lacking flavour. The hot and sour sauces still made them edible. Not sure if it's because of the takeout order, but the tortillas were soaked with the food and not packaged separately which made them soggy. The nachos tasted stale and the guacamole was old, discolored and lacked flavor including salt! The place was not crowded and we got our food in 10mins, so definitely the food prepared was not rushed, just lacked flavour. read more

Dessert - We had fried ice cream, but apparently, the ice cream was just rolled into cornflakes without frying and served on whipping cream and a cherry. When asked, the server said that the ice cream was fried. I know what fried ice cream looks and tastes like. It was served cold from inside out. I was just too tired to argue and asked for whoever prepared my dessert. The food was wholly without flavor, it seemed like no salt was used. The beans for all three meals were quite bland. The taquitos were overdone, stringy, dry, but frankly the best thing we got. My burrito came with some seriously old, brown avocado slices. I got the vegetarian, it was supposed to have grilled onions and peppers, but instead it came with unseasoned frozen vegetable mix (carrots, broccoli, some other chunks of a vegetable I couldn't identify, possibly broccoli stems, but that were browned with age). Overall it was a soggy, wet mess and I threw most of it away. I was glad we ordered a side of guacamole, so at least I had something to eat. The guacamole was great. The chicken mole was way too cloyingly sweet. Yes it's a chocolate-based sauce, but one expects it to be more smoky/spicy than Hershey's-sweet. Uh oh no bueno! We came here on a very busy night. We were served chips & salsa after we were seated. The salsa was very watery with little ingredients in it. We also ordered the queso cheese dip for an appetizer but it came at the same time as our entrees. It was also very watery and luke warm. For my entree, I ordered the Casa Vallarta enchiladas. When the waitress asked me what kind of meat I wanted, I blurted out "beef" but I was confused what this was for as the menu stated the enchiladas came with one chicken, one cheese and one beef enchilada. I wanted to flag the waitress down to ask her what the "beef" was for but she never came back to our table before our meals came. Of course my entree came with 3 beef enchiladas - not at all what I wanted. I didn't want to send it back as this was partly my fault as that's what I stated when the waitress asked, but why would she even ask this in the first place when the menu clearly states what the enchiladas come with?? I didn't know what she was asking that for. The dish tasted like a pound of greasy beef wrapped in soggy tortillas drowning in different sauces. It was inedible. The rice and refried beans weren't any better - beans were very watery rather than a pasty texture and rice was bland and undercooked. The menu also stated my dish came with sour cream on the side which was nowhere to be seen. My husband ordered tacos that were supposed to come with guacamole on the side, also nowhere to be seen. Can't say I will be back nor can I recommend. There are much better Mexican options around. read more

Visited here based on the glowing Yelp reviews. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a sign regarding a mariachi band. Apparently, there's a live mariachi band that plays on certain days during certain hours. We went Sunday for dinner and just missed it! They're there on Sundays from 1-4, we got there at 530. The place is large with plenty of space. Even at 630PM (peak dinner), there were plenty of empty seats and room for patrons. Like most typical Mexican restaurants, they bring chips and salsa to the table, along with refried beans for dipping. The refried beans and salsa were delicious! I probably ate too much of both. The menu here is a novel, with pages of options, probably too many options. I ordered the macho burrito, wife ordered the fish tacos, father ordered the pollo asado. The macho burrito was massive. I mean truly epic portions here. The prices are a bit higher than the other Mexican restaurants in the area and now I know why. It's because of the portions. You can eat it twice, for sure. The macho burrito was the size of my arm, elbow to fingers. Over a foot long for sure. While my wife and father loved their food, I wasn't a big fan of the macho burrito. It was lazily assembled. Beans were on one side, chicken on another, sour cream all stacked on the edge. It should've been more spread out, instead I was taking bites of just full sour cream, gross. The waiter was really friendly and offered to make another but I passed. I was already plenty full from the few bites I did take and the chips and salsa. Friendly and quick that's what I will remember most about my dinner here. The menu is typical Mexican, a big list of cocktails, good margaritas ( incl several non- alcoholic margaritas). I really enjoyed the chips, salsa but especially their bean dip which they gladly keep coming if you keep eating. We had chicken chimichangas with fried rice and beans. It was good and the portion was large. The waiter took our order, smiled and said it will be right out... in 4 minutes. We laughed. He was right. The food came out very hot in 4 minutes. From the SEVERAL...yes several waiters meeting you at the door...to the amazing music playing in the background..to the comforrable seats... And on a Friday night! Plenty of seats available 6pm...later on it gets into "partytime" as they dont close until 1AM.. The calamari is perfectly cooked over some really fresh shredded lettuce and tomatoes...honey mustard on the side.. Portions so big you could actually make a salad with it.. Oh yeah! The drinks????? You only need one...seriously..unless you arent driving..about time a family restaurant that actually makes a proper drink..FINALLY!!!
