So they've gone downhill these past few months. For example out of 3 most recent orders, one was inedible with burnt vegetables, one completely missing a side item, and one had the weakest scoop of meat I've seen then filled in with so many jalapeños it was ridiculous. Recent order again, gave another chance. Dry dusty meat. Burnt veg. Barely any salsa even when ask for extra. Guess it's back to Chipotle read more

Definitely a step up from the usual chains. Fresh ingredients. Generous portions. And some spicy hot sauce. All the ingredients were tasty and generously applied. The Staff was friendly and efficient. It's the typical counter service where they make your burrito in front of you. I think the guacamole was over $2 extra but that's OK. I saw Mexican soda but I didn't see Mexican coke. There are fountain drinks too. And you can get a cup for free water if you want. Definitely will be back. The burrito was so good. Wished I lived closer but when I'm there I'll be hitting this place up. read more

I always choose to add guacamole for an extra charge but the portions are more than generous and the staff is always friendly. Popped in today for a steak bowl for lunch. I have heard good things about this spot, but this was my first time trying. The skeleton outside the door was ironic, as the building itself is a Skelton of Friendly's! The minute I walked in, I liked the vibe. They had some authentic music going, and I noticed they also have their LL, which is a nice touch to have a cerveza alongside your meal. The agua frescas also looked bomb, and I liked their selection of Jarritos sodas. I liked building my own bowl, the portions were generous and everything was fresh and tasty. I really loved the fire roasted jalepenos and their spicy salsa had a nice kick to it. The bowl is a solid 2 servings. The only negative I have is that I found the bowl a bit salty. Not sure if it was the Mexican rice option or what was salty, but nonetheless, still very tasty. Walking out with a fat bowl for less than $11 is an absolute, Chipolte who?! moment! The kind of place that puts Chipotle to shame. Well, that might be a bit harsh, but the flavors, freshness, quality, and that indescribable touch family-run touch made my three visits great. On each of my three visits, I got Al Pastor tacos with soft shells... I'm boring like that, unless I'm in TX at Torchy's, but I digress. Anyways, those tortillas, man... Best I've had. Not only are the tortillas themselves yummy, but I love the way they warm them. They become a little toasty and develop a little fluff too! Regarding protein: they don't skimp on the meat! Each time the Al Pastor has been juicy, flavorful, and overall well balanced, a little sweet, and a little salt, and cooked well! No complaints about the veggies. They were fresh, and there was a decent variety. The only thing missing is some diced raw onion. There was raw onion in their wonderful Pico, but other varieties were cooked or pickled (couldn't tell you... I didn't opt for either). I also had a chance to try the queso! Wonderful stuff! Tasted real, homemade and had a pleasant amount of heat. The guacamole was similarly tasty, and leagues better than that place that starts with "C", and ends with "Hipotle". A step up from Chipotle! Or maybe it just feels that way since it's not a chain? Either way, this place is a great take-out option in the area that isn't the usual pizza or sub shop. Portions are huge and ingredients are fresh. You can easily split one meal with someone. I always have leftovers. Get the chips and queso!! Creamy gooey cheese dip with salty crunchy homemade tortilla chips - I couldn't get enough! My burrito felt like it weighed 10lbs and same with my husband's bowl. They certainly don't skimp on ingredients. I would recommend checking this place out for quick Mexican take-out! read more

prices are awesome here if you are looking for a bit of discount instead of just going to chiplote. they got some great deals i forget on monday or tuesday where you can get like $5 burritos. line is always super long. they did get my order wrong one time and i reported that in the survey. they were quick to respond and offered me a free burito. overall great service and a slight step up from the usual chains. food doesn't blow me away by any means but the price and service i think it is worth checking out read more

My roommates and I have made Santa Fe a regular spot for us after a few tries. Each time we have gotten something a little different and haven't been disappointed. Burritos are HUGE and packed with everything you can want! Same with the bowls, they give you a very hefty helping. All of the meats have been wonderfully seasoned. I could barely give this place 2 stars because they're a local business and I love to support locals but this place really gave me no reason to. Service was rushed, the person behind the counter looked like he wanted to go home and the food is cold when I got it. I guess maybe it was later in the night and they just didn't care as much anymore. But when I open up the burrito and I swear I smelled a faint whiff of some kind of cleaner, I was in the food management for a long time and being food safety certified, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about, I immediately threw it away and guessed the person serving me earlier was probably cleaning and getting ready to close for night but didn't change their gloves or wash their hands. I ordered uber eats delivery from Santa Fe Burrito grill a few weeks ago - 2 burritos & an order of churros. The order arrived quickly, the churros were still warm. It weighed a ton - very large burritos. The tortillas were soggy & fell apart when I picked up the burritos. I didn't really care about that as I usually forego the bread part anyway. There was very little meat in them. The pork did not have that wonderful lime taste but seemed a bit dried out. The steak was very tough - had it been slow cooked, it would have tasted much better. The grilled veggies did not taste good - it tasted like someone was cooking with liquid smoke and used too much. Even though I asked for no jalapenos, I got them anyway. I paid $6 for guac on both burritos & they applied such a small amount, I couldn't find it. Same with the cilantro. I would rather have had a burrito half that size/weight made correctly than what I got. read more

The food is normally good and the Monday specials are a great deal. That said, we normally order online and pick up our food - we've had several issues recently in which we get home and find one of our orders is partially or completely incorrect. In particular, we pay extra for items that then aren't included in our meals. It's not possible to see if there's an issue before you open your food at home, so it's frustrating that this happens so often. We've tried contacting the restaurant on multiple surveys they send out about their food/service and they don't reply. We overall like this restaurant and the food, but all the recent issues are making us hesitant to keep eating here. read more

Had a Barbacoa bowl with plenty of choice of fillings. Very tasty with ample portions. A bonus is an offering of Gifford's ice cream as well as beer and margaritas. I usually get a bowl because I can't eat one whole serving and a bowl is easier to heat up than a burrito. If you're going to order guacamole, get a side of it instead of a plop on top of your food. You might as well get what you pay for. I always skip the cheese topping because it looks treacherously processed. They have 10% off your first online order and $5 off for every $100 purchased.
