DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY DIETARY RESTRICTIONS OR SEVERE ALLERGIES. Like a previous review on their Facebook page from a year ago (which indicates that the restaurant has done absolutely nothing to fix this) I too explicitly stated that I have an allergy several times and was assured there was no cross contamination. It turned out, there was cross contamination, which was confirmed by another waitress after I had already eaten it. We live in a world where severe allergies are extremely common so to have a staff that is simply not trained is unacceptable. It literally is a matter of life or death - point blank. If you have severe allergies or dietary restrictions or someone in your family does, do not come here. It will be a night filled with questions, uncertainty and anxiety about whether something was cross contaminated. The staff has no idea what is going on and I don't even feel confident things are reported back to the kitchen. I do not feel comfortable ever eating here again and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions. Really horrible experience and caused a lot of anxiety ruining what would've been a great night on the Cape. read more

Be aware when paying cash here!!! They will rip your receipt away and give you back what they want. When brought to their attention, you're told you can come back for your money, but they completely miss the point that they have thieves working for them!! My wife and I were out shopping and found ourselves debating between Chinese or Mexican for dinner. Thankfully, we chose Mexican and ended up at Casa Vallarta--and what a fantastic choice it turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, the experience was excellent. Several staff members greeted us warmly, we were seated right away, and complimentary chips, salsa, and refried beans arrived at the table almost immediately. Our server started with drinks, and we couldn't have been happier with our choices. I went for the Jalapeño Margarita, which had just the right amount of kick, while my wife opted for a classic margarita with Don Julio tequila--smooth and flavorful. For dinner, my wife ordered the chicken fajitas, and I had the carne asada tacos. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor, and generously portioned. In fact, there was so much food that we ended up taking half of it home! Not only was our server attentive and on top of everything, but other staff members also checked in to make sure our dining experience was perfect. Their teamwork and care made us feel truly valued as guests. We highly recommend Casa Vallarta and can't wait to return for another great meal. The meals served @ this off season time were very obviously previously cooked , frozen then heated and served. The service needs improvement our waiter was simply rude and condescending. I had dinner and then lunch here in recent weeks and both times this Mexican eatery did not disappoint. The atmosphere is friendly and lively with plenty of seating and the music was set at the right volume for me. The server was friendly and knowledgeable and kept track of us throughout our meal. The meal came out piping hot and looking delicious. Before the meal they brought out a spicy salsa and a refried bean dip that was full of flavor in which I enjoyed it very much. I ordered the chimichanga with beef, rice and refried beans. it was very tasty and for a lunch portion it was just right for me. I would order this again. All in all, it was a good experience. I will come back here again on a future date and try other items. It's definitely worth a try. read more

The most delicious meals if you're looking for good Mexican food and total bang for your buck. We first got served chips with this unreal bean and cheese dip. I mean I was scooping that bean dip by the spoonful. I ordered a quesadilla for my meal and it came with all the good stuff-- lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, and to top it off they gave our table 2 new rounds of the bean dip. I was in heaven. 3 of us got margaritas and they were HUGE and delicious. Fruity and made well. A Family-friendly place. All ages present on a Saturday night. Even with a bar up front, there were families with children eating in the back. The menu was absolutely massive. They truly have something for everyone here and it was inexpensive and the menu provided pictures. Music to my ears. Huge parking lot so no sweat on parking prior to your arrival. Open incredibly late for a fullblown dinner-- especially down the cape when most kitchens had closed at 9pm. It reminded us of IHop but Mexican restaurant style. Unreal. 10000% recommend. Authentic Mexican food. The people here are nice. There are indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. Inside, the tables were spaced out (every other table) was filled. Chips & salsa was good (salsa was spicy) Cheese quesadilla was really greasy and grease was dripping all over the place. Chicken soft tacos were delicious and flavorful. The portion was very generous. Crispy chicken taquitos did not have much flavor but it comes with guacamole, sour cream and lettuce. I would come back and try the other items. Friendly staff in a very busy restaurant. I ordered a margarita and fajitas. Worst margarita I've ever had and I sent it back. Thankfully, they didn't charge me for it. As for the fajita, it looked and tasted like a frozen dinner from the grocery store. The tortillas were fresh but nothing else. This place is fine. It's got a good, friendly vibe. The staff are efficient. It does remind me of a Latin Disco though not a Mexican restaurant. The music is not traditional Mexican music. Many of the staff are from South America NOT Mexico. The bar is rectangular shaped with at least 4 flat screen tvs with a variety of cable selections (European or Latin American soccer is commonly on one of them!).They have a solid selection of Latin draft beer including Pacifica, Modelo Especial & Modelo Negro which is nice. There is a HUGE selection of Margaritas to choose from. I had the Presidente with lime juice & sour mix. It's was perfectly fine but not a craft cocktail. The exterior looks to be an old house with a burgundy clapboard exterior. They have a small outside deck with umbrellas & heated lamps for the chilly months. There is a handicapped access ramp. The interior is typical of a Tex Mex restaurant with all the colorful Mexican memorabilia adorning the walls. The food is fine. They have a good selection of dishes to pick from. They politely & immediately request your drink order & simultaneously bring you chips, salsa & bean dip to satiate your thirst & appetite while you peruse the menu selections. I steadily snacked on the chips, salsa, & bean dip which was fine. I settled on a Chile Relleno which is one of my all time favorite Mexican dishes. It was medium sized poblano pepper with a light egg batter & fresh melted cheese inside. It was good. The rice is pretty standard & okay. The enchilada was okay. The chicken meat was not grilled & the white meat was not very fresh. The soft tacos looked pretty good, particularly the Tacos a la Pastor. This establishment is run very efficiently. But overall this is a very average Mexican American restaurant. You can very easily grill steak, chhix, shrimp & make homemade tacos, burritos at home. I would skip Mexican on the Cape altogether. Honestly, there is no excellent & legitimate Mexican restaurant on the entire Cape. For that matter, there are not a lot of really good authentic ethnic restaurants on the Cape which is a huge bummer. read more

First time patrons here and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and the value was amazing! The decor is authentic Mexican. The tiles, the colors - it was bright and encouraging. The service was stellar! As soon as we reached our table a server was putting down salsa, bean dip and warm tortillas chips. Outstanding! Within 30 seconds a lovely waitress came over to greet us and take our drink order. She quickly brought our drinks, answered our questions and took our order. The menu is extensive and well organized! It has many options, but not overwhelming- really something for everyone. We chose shrimp fajitas and chicken mole. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the vegetables were crisp tender. It was served with tortillas, rice, beans, guacamole and fresh salsa. The chicken mole was a very generous portion and was cooked very well. The mole sauce was good, however, it has peanut butter in it which slightly overpowered the flavor of the sauce. It was still good, just not traditional. It was served with Mexican rice, refried beans and salsa. We will definitely be back and encourage anyone visiting (or living in) Falmouth to come to Casa Vallarta. read more

Ambiance- Very nice decor! Vibrant and colorful. felt like I was in a beach town in México. Service- Wonderful service. I believe our waitress was Tamara. She was great. Whenever we needed something she was quick to get it and was super friendly. 10/10 service. Food- The appetizers were good. We enjoyed the bean dip and the salsa was okay. The margs were good. The food was also good. The portion sizes were really big! Which was good because we were very hungry. Overall, the experience was great and the wait was minimal on a busy Labor Day weekend. I was surprised by Casa Vallarta, positively. Our party of six was visiting Falmouth. I am not sure about the others, but I had never been to the town, and, for that matter, I had been on Cape Cod maybe twice in my life previously, with a woman I dated circa 1992-1995, on again, off again. I eat Mexican food a fair amount, having live in San Francisco, and my wife (not the aforementioned woman I dated) likes it and wishes we would eat more. So this place was new to us, and I'd say it is unlikely we will patronize it again, because we won't be in the vicinity. If we were, however, I would go there. I write to offer a positive recommendation. We also were hungry. That renders any meal more utilitarian. Three of us had run a half marathon that morning. But we had a hearty lunch, and we had been snacking, so while we had appetites we were not so ravenous as to accept any sustenance set before us. The comment is more about the portion size, about which in a moment. When we entered the restaurant, I noticed immediately how full it was. This was early in the evening on a Saturday. It was crowded. It might have been every table was full; if not, just about. It is impossible to discern, with accuracy, who is a local and who is from out of town. I won't attempt to do so. Our group had selected the venue, because we were renting an AirBnB an easy walk away. When I use this platform, I am reminded how important proximity is to everything. I am persuaded by the argument for the fifteen minute city. I am baffled at the suggestion it is totalitarian; it is merely the case for mutual agreement to build our environment in a more sensible manner for the benefit of everyone, and it does not impose any limits on individual autonomy. For the two of us who walked, along a busy road, this was well under fifteen minutes. That also helped us prepare for the amount of food to be presented. That is what I wish to comment on. I am interested in how merit is judged. I am loathe to call anything "the best." The reason is I also am convinced, based on the research and my own experience, that there are many factors that need to be assessed, together, for any type of measurement of worth, whether it has to do with human beings as prospective employees or the experience dining out. You can have great recall but poor spatial reasoning or vice versa, as you can have terrific food and lousy service. So I favor balance. I am impressed by businesses that deliver a combination, such that while they might not be the best at this or the best at that, if you devised a formula with the weighting that a priori was determined (that is, not to produce a specific outcome), they would show superiority because of a cumulative total. That is what Casa Vallarta achieved. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation was better than adequate. The margarita pitcher(s) were tasty, with enough alcohol but not too much. The quantities of food were sufficient that two couples each split two dishes, i.e., four people and two plates. The burrito, for example, was the largest my wife had ever seen, and she declared as much. The table split the calamari and the guacamole. The salsa was appropriately spicy. The complimentary refried bean dip was creamy, sprinkled with cojita cheese, and addictive. The husband of the other couple ate that burrito, his half, so fast I was astonished. My wife is always berating me for eating too quickly, which I see as signaling pleasure. I looked over, and the other fellow consumed his whole meal before I had even had two bites. He explained he grew up in a family of six, and he said the mole sauce was rich and savory. My wife often invokes the theme of, were you raised by wolves, which I understand is a website where you can assess that. My wife and I split the vegetarian enchiladas. Spinach was the primary plant. I'd praise the rice. It was especially fluffy. The service was superlative. Everyone enjoyed themselves at Casa Vallarta. It was an excellent finish to a relaxing day. read more

Unbelievably amazing service and food. Just thinking about their satisfying spicy salsa sprinkled with onion and cilantro, creamy bean dip and bottomless chips makes me hungry. Loved that each person got their own little beaker of salsa and that the bean dip is free for each table. On top of that, I had the most delicious mango and chili frozen margarita which was perfect for my Indian taste buds. Entree wise, the taquitos were a little dry so I wouldn't order it again. However, the fajita burrito was SO good. It was seasoned to perfection, and served alongside delicious rice and beans. The fried ice cream for dessert was large and super filling. Casa Vallarta is a local Mexican restaurant chain, with 4 Massachusetts locations and 2 in New York. It has a family feel to it. Even before COVID, they had ample outdoor patio seating with views of busy Davis Straits. Inside, the restaurant is colorful and vibrant. The service is attentive, friendly, top notch. What it lacks in spice it makes up for in color. Ironically, the complimentary chips, salsa&guacamole kickier than the main dishes. The salsa comes in a carafe; it's so good you want to drink it down. The Tijuana fish tacos (3 for $18.99) are messy and somewhat bland. The veggie platter with a Chile relleno and spinach enchilada (also $18.99) is slightly more flavorful. To their credit, they have several vegetarian offerings. It's OK. read more
