Meh. High prices for basic, run of the mill carry-out food - a burrito was $18, two fish tacos were $19. I was visiting off-season, can't imagine locals paying these prices. Maybe this would fly during high season. read more

We sat outside and split the fish tacos, the shrimp tacos, and the shrimp baritto and all there were awesome. So this a a window kitchen you walk up to nice people behind it, order and then either take away or eat outside. It was warm enough on this early October night to enjoy the people watching on main Street Hyannis while we ate. We will be there again, but probably takeout until next year. read more

In the courtyard aside from his takeout window, he has added indoor dining and seasonal outdoor dining to complement his always delightful take on Mexican street food. Great takeout spot! Hungrily walked to the line, scoping out the multitude of options, and settled for... whatever they recommended. Was given three carnitas street tacos with a ton of limes, two sauces and a pile of cilantro. Found a picnic table to park at, and rolled up my sleeves. First taco was light on the green sauce, heavy on the line. Second was more green and some hot, and more lime, last taco was everything I could throw at it and my taste buds thanked me. read more

Wow! This was hands down the best food I had this week. There is very little seating available and it appears a lot of locals grab takeout here. We were lucky enough to grab a table outside for our meal. The food was fairly quick coming out. Everything was delicious including the tortilla chips. Definitely will be back the next time. Fish was a bit soggy and chicken and pineapple a bit greasy with hard pieces of chicken. The man at the window is super nice. While staying a night in Hyannis, and having a hankering for Mexican, we picked El Mariachi Loco on Main St. We didn't know what to expect, and since it was a chilly night and their outdoor seating was not conducive to the evening weather, we did takeout. Everything was delish. I ordered a grilled chicken Mexican salad, so great, with fresh lettuce, cucumbers, and other usual additions, onions, etc., with an awesome dressing (a light flavorful verde colored dressing), that tasted fantastic poured over everything. Hubby got a generous sized chicken burrito with rice and beans on the side. Topped off with great house salsa and chips, we loved it! Flavors were authentic and not the run of the mill mexican so prevalent in many other restaurants. Friendly staff, helpful with their menu, and appreciative of our business. read more

Ordered the pastor and chorizo tortas! They were HUGE and the sauces were spicy and flavorful. The French roll was phenomenal and in the sandwiches, there was plenty of meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeños, beans, mayo, fried cheese, and guacamole. Service was fast and it took about 5-10 minutes for our sandwiches to be made. Also FYI, they do not have dine in available but do have tables outside for nice days. read more

Very good little Taco joint! I have been waiting FOREVER for a half decent Mexican restaurant in Hyannis. I have spent a ton of time in Albuquerque, & Austin, TX (east Austin has some of the best Mexican food around). Cute simple place. Very small with 4 tables inside & 4-5 tables outside on the sidewalk. Counter Service only. Everything is homemade. I ordered a Carnitas & a Carne Asada taco. Both were wrapped in 2 soft corn tortillas, tossed with diced onion, & cilantro. I also ordered a small order of Mexican rice, refried pinto beans, pico de gallo, & guacamole. The rice was great. It was fresh which was fab bc at most places it's seriously dried out. The pinto beans which had a slightly smoky flavor & were delish. The pico de gallo is freshly made &!very good. They made the guacamole in front of me. It was creamy & delicious. The chips are made from corn tortillas. They're crispy, lightly salted & very good., The downsides: The Carnitas & Carne Asada meat were dry & chewy. It would be great if they made both a few times a day to prevent them from being chewy & dry. Also: The prices could be a bit more reasonable. I found it *really* pricey for Mexican street food. This place has some simple tasty Mexican food in a very informal setting. I am looking forward to trying their Chile Relleno & Fish cod tacos. GO & Enjoy: ole! read more

Excellent and authentic Mexican food. The fish tacos are top notch as are the more standard chicken or beef tacos. The tortillas are great. I had a pork taco that was a specialty. Very good as well. The restaurant is very small, but does have outside seating. Fast and friendly service. Will definitely eat here again. read more

On Yelp it doesn't say, but they don't do call ahead ordering. Instead you have to go to the location and order. There are outdoor dining options as well. The line moved very quickly, and it was quite busy. The food took a little bit of time, as you'd expect, and it was so good. The price was reasonable as well. None of the meat was dry, and it was flavorful as well. I can't exactly speak for authenticity as someone who hasn't visited places like Mexico, or eaten that many tacos in areas like LA, but it was really good. read more

Fantastic, fresh, flavorful meals. We found this spot on Yelp while we were arriving back in Hyannis after our weekend on Nantucket. We placed our order as soon as we got off the ferry; online ordering system estimated our food would be ready at 5:45 (20 minutes after we placed our order). We drove over and walked up to the socially distant, covid-19 friendly window at 5:32 and believe it or not, our food was already ready! We ordered the chorizo tacos, which were perfectly held together with great corn tortillas that did NOT break (one of my pet peeves is when tortillas break while I'm eating tacos) and topped with a generous serving of guacamole, vegetable torta, and two cheese & chicken quesadillas. We also had an order of crinkle fries which were so deliciously crispy, a side of rice & beans, and 2 horchatas. We were all very happy with our food. Overall we loved our meal, the service was fast, and highly recommend El Mariochi Loco! read more
