    Carnitas street tacos

Great takeout spot! Hungrily walked to the line, scoping out the multitude of options, and settled for... whatever they recommended. Was given three carnitas street tacos with a ton of limes, two sauces and a pile of cilantro. Found a picnic table to park at, and rolled up my sleeves. First taco was light on the green sauce, heavy on the line. Second was more green and some hot, and more lime, last taco was everything I could throw at it and my taste buds thanked me.

Wow! This was hands down the best food I had this week. There is very little seating available and it appears a lot of locals grab takeout here. We were lucky enough to grab a table outside for our meal. The food was fairly quick coming out. Everything was delicious including the tortilla chips. Definitely will be back the next time. Note: they do not serve alcohol.

Hyannis has always hosted a lot of great restaurants, all very different. American culture also has seen the taco trucks. This is the place to get your homemade and authentic taste. I've lived and loved Hyannis for 20+ years. Stop by and enjoy the best within miles. He knows what he's doing! Seating is outside. Love this place!

TEN STARS THESE HUMANS WERE THE SWEETEST! * I ordered a ton of tacos last minute for a bachelorette. They were happy to accommodate us and set us up with all the good salsa and pico. * Thank y'all so much. Was a pleasure to support y'all's business.

Amazing. Outstanding. By far the very BEST Mexican food on Cape!! Chef Moi hails from Southern CA w/hudreds of trips to Mexico in my lifetime. Fresh, house-made, GENEROUS portions. Please do not confuse this w/the El Mariachi chain (which is decent). Casual outside dining (paper/plastic service) or takeout. You can skip the restaurants down the street as they pale in comparison. Enjoy.

Authentic!! One of the best places we tried in the area. Tacos were fresh and flavorful. We ordered a bunch of the combo tacos to try and the al pastor tacos. We got rice and beans for sides. The homemade hot sauce was a hit! Packed heat and flavor. Prices are a bit high but worth it for delicious food. Definitely recommend

The torta was amazing. Seasoned so perfectly and had just the right amount of everything, definitely authentic Mexican food! All workers were very nice and friendly and my food was ready in just a few minutes. Definitely recommend!!!

The tiny back bar looked nicely private and more quiet. Our server, Doug, was fantastic, he set the stage for a nice experience by being friendly and very attentive. He made good recommendations describing each drink and dish helping me order well. The menu is large on choices and today Is taco Tuesday and they offer an additional menu at $14.95 and a mini margarita for $7.95. I ordered off this tonight. Birria beef tacos that came with 2 small flour tortillas (not fried as I was informed in advance) but filled generously full of delicious seasoned beef. It included & a thick consommé sauce for dunking & only one side choice, I had refried beans, all was very nicely flavored and the dipping was rich n tasty. I started with the $7.95 margarita but it was pretty good but petite and it looked more fancy advertised than it was. (Don't take the straw offered or it's gone in 4 sips ) The regular version margarita was much more satisfying and tequila selection is vast. My friends enjoyed the coconut margaritas with coconuty toasted rim and pineapple wedge. For dessert we shared the decadent Raspberry Cheesecake chimi $8.50 with a chocolate fudge sauce. Like a too sweet n' rich kids pop tart, we laughed together and ate it all up! I know this is not gourmet cuisine or even that good of a representation of Mexican food, but I enjoyed it. They tried hard with whimsical decor and seem to always have a crowd.

When I couldn't decide on a cocktail, Sandra readily recommended the Grapefruit Martini -- it was delicious and totally the right call, Hubby's Tito's Cosmo was also well-made. For dinner, Hubby had the Chicken Parm - it was enormous and delicious, chicken was cooked well and the homemade pasta was a perfect al dente. The sauce was very good, but there was too much cheese for his taste, an easy fix to move to the side. There was plenty to take home for a second meal so it was an even better value. I chose the Spinach Salad, which was fresh and tasty with artichokes and goat cheese. Again, it was a generous portion for a very good price. We rarely indulge in dessert but we were convinced to try the homemade Tiramisu and it was amazing, just the way I make it myself. It's very hard to find a Tiramisu that is so authentic. My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.
