I'm updating this because we finally managed to get tacos here - you just have to drive by and notice that it's open. The staff was very nice! The tacos seemed like what you would get if you described tacos to someone who hadn't had them before but was a decent cook - and then they made them. It's harder to get a taco from pico's taco shack than it was to get a cronut in manhattan in 2013. They don't answer the phone, they don't take online orders, and I think they're only open every other Thursday from 2:30-3pm. read more

If you want a good margarita, I would recommend this place. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the food. The fish tacos were bland and covered in way too much yogurt sauce so you really couldn't taste the fish. We also got a salad with grilled fish. The fish was over cooked and chewy. read more

I only ever come on Yelp when I have to weigh in. We came at a non busy time and we waited over 30 mins for one burrito and a taco plate. At 30 mins, I asked about our food and they responded we were next. At 35 minutes I asked again and asked to speak to manager. There was no manager to speak with and apparently our order had been ready despite me asking 5 mins before. I did a quick scan and went home. I ordered fish tacos and am not a meat eater- I got one taco with chicken and my fish taco fell apart. Our queso is not cheese and the chips were not salted. They won't answer their phones or allow you to speak with the manager so I'm now in the hole $63 for nothing I ordered and it was late. read more

Stopped after riding 8 miles on the Cape Cod Rail Trail and had an amazing experience. The building is very clean and looks recently renovated (including the bathroom). There is a large deck and picnic area for outdoor dining with plenty of shade. Great beer selection and the mango frozen margarita was delicious. We ordered the garlic ribeye and chicken pastor birria tacos and they were both one of the tacos I've ever had. MUST order a side of the queso to go with it and for the chips! Pico's brings the party and tacos to the rail trail. If you are feeling extra hungry and feeling some high energy music while sipping on margaritas outside then this is the place for you. The shrimp burrito was well seasoned with a fair amount of shrimp nestled inside. It came with a a healthy portion of fresh chips. Pretty standard Mexican American food but still tasty. The staff working was very nice so should out to them. The outdoor shaded seating was very comfortable and there was a walk up window for drinks. Stopped here on the way to Provincetown from West Yarmouth. Didn't get any pictures of our food because we ate it so fast, but it was so good!! Service was lovely, and if you ordered for there they'd bring it out to your table. The outside area had a very nice vibe to it. There were tables with umbrellas and some cute decorations. I got the birria al pastor pork tacos. They were so tender and honestly the best tacos I've ever had!! Portions were perfect and the chips and salsa were yummy. My boyfriend got the California surf n turf burrito and loved it. He also said the was the perfect portion. We got the cilantro chipotle sauce on the side and it was sooo yummy. Made correctly, the meat is slow cooked on a tromba, served on a corn tortilla with pickled red onions, roasted pineapple and chilies and cilantro. Not a fan. First time here and waited over 30 mins for our food. It wasn't that busy and there were people who ordered after us who got their food before us. We just got fish tacos and ramen. The ramen noodles were stuck together in a clump with barely any liquid. Staff was not friendly and none of them smiled to any of the customers that I could see. As a white man I have to say these are some of the most white people tacos I've ever had, not really any flavor, just feels like everything was delivered straight off the delivery truck and onto the plates. The chicken doesn't taste so much grilled as it does taste like one of those Perdue precooked packages of chicken. FINALLY!!! The Mexican food we have been waiting for!!! I lived in different locations in California for most of my life, and have A LOT of Mexican food....some bad, a lot of good, and some truly exceptional. Since moving to the Cape 7 years ago, I haven't found any Mexican food that really light me up. Yes, there are a couple of places in Hyannis that are OK (one isn't all that authentic, one tastes authentic BUT it is extraordinarily greasy). And the places we have tried that are in Orleans or other nearby towns have not impressed us...at all. But Pico's tastes authentic and delicious, and it feels "clean". Even the chips aren't greasy! And for those who don't much like spicy food, Pico's is your place! I added some hot sauce to one of my Ribeye tacos, which made it perfect for me. But the food is quite delicious without hot sauce, and even their Pico's de gallo is pretty mild. My wife had the Birria Al Pastor tacos, and loved them. We also enjoyed the delicious guacamole. And we don't even have to drive to Hyannis! We will be back soon, and often! Highly recommended!! read more

I'll give this an optimistic 5 stars in the context of Cape Mexican. I'll definitely be back, it's good homemade food made with care. Probably a regular visit on the way to Nickerson. If you take anything away from this review, Pico's is worth a try. There are only two tables inside, a few picnic tables outside, plan accordingly. I'll talk about the good first. Their tacos are pretty big. 2 is plenty for a reasonable meal. Steak taco was juicy and tasty. Their shredduce couldn't be more shredded, and I love that they use Cotija instead of pre-shredded mix. The Cape Cod fish'n chips burrito was *very* good I'm sure it turns to mush after 15 minutes in a car, but it was great while crispy and fresh. Good house made tarter sauce. Desperately needed hot sauce or some sharp acidic element like pickled red onions, but I'd get this again in a heartbeat. The so.so- Chips were room temp and thoroughly meh, served in a open tray. At least try to warm 'em up a bit before serving! The regular salsa (not pico) is pretty acidic and seems like doctored pre-made salsa. Doesn't compare to Anejo's red salsa. Chicken tacos were kinda dry and under-seasoned. Desperately needed some hot sauce. I have had much dryer chicken tacos on the cape, in their defense. Is it as good as Tacodilla or Anejo? Nah. But it's not trying to compete, I think. Good for what it is. read more

We just got on the cape tonight and wanted something very causal for dinner tonight. We found Pico's and it immediately sounded good. We waited a bit for our food but that was more than understandable considering the 30+ to go orders that were on their counter. The food tasted so fresh and the prices for what you get were amazing. As a west-coast Mexican food lover, I was pleasantly surprised by the tacos and margaritas. The spicy margaritas are deelish; not cheap but a generous pour. Outdoor atmosphere is nice and shady, providing great relief for sweaty cyclists from the nearby bike trail. The staff is hard-working and super efficient. I especially appreciate Finn's customer service at the front counter. He always smiles, is very friendly, and helpful. Was super helpful with a complicated phone order we placed recently. When not behind the counter, I see Finn sweeping and keeping the dining area clean, which is a pet peeve of mine at similar outdoor restaurants on the Cape. I've been to Pico's 4X this summer and will definitely be back soon soon. Definite thumbs up for this great locals hangout! Bravo! read more
