Low quality food, low quality service. Has an issue with the price on my bill and the manager refuses to come and speak to me despite asking 2 times for them. They just kept sending the waitress back with different numbers on the check. The cost of a cheese quesadilla ( no peppers, onions, beans, rice, guacamole, etc.) was $19. After stating how ridiculous that was, the waitress changed the price to $13. Probably won't be returning. read more

It was great but it lacks dressing however I loved the guacamole and sour cream that it came with, but it just felt like something was missing. Besides it being a freezing night, we was sat by the door and felt every breeze when the door opened is my only complaint. We gave Casa Vallarta a 20 minute heads up that 10 lunch guests would be arriving. We arrived and our table was ready and so were our two attentive waitstaff. Been to many restaurants in Mexico. This by far matched the real taste of Mexico the most. The orchata (traditional in Mexico is a a rice based drink with cinnamon) is great and very refreshing. Chile relleno great the enchiladas amazing! The decoration is made of traditional Mexican tiles and they are beautiful. The service is great and the wait dress are very friendly knowledgeable and make you feel at home. I don't think you should miss this one. I was craving Mexican and had driven by Casa Vallarta probably 100 times when it came up in my search and relatively close by so I had to check them out. Very impressive menu with a lot of authentic Mexican dishes and even some amazing sounding cocktails (alas, only beer is take out worthy and not the cocktails). Called in my order and was told ten minutes. True to their word, ten minutes later it was ready at the door so we paid and left. Aside from navigating route 1 (possibly worst highway in the US...) it was pretty easy to get there and back and had plenty of parking. I ordered a chicken burrito. This was okay but really bland. I didn't indicate any spice level when ordering so I have to assume this is the normal spice level. I appreciated that they put in double rice and left out the beans per request. The burrito was huge and made up two meals easily. We also ordered the chicken chimichanga which had a bit more spice and flavor. Also, it was huge. This also came with a side of rice. Both meals came to around $35 and were way more than enough for two people. They also came with salsa (didn't try it) and some tortilla chips that were somewhat stale so I ended up throwing those out. The restaurant looked cute and in normal times would be a nice place to chill out and eat but I'm mainly take out these days. I would order again and try some other items as the menu really did have a lot of interesting things to choose from. read more

YUMMY! This place is the bomb.com!!! We were a party of 15 and the staff made sure to accommodate us and make us feel right at home! All the staff were friendly, the music was great, and we were seated right away! The food was EXCELLENT!!! The fajitas are to DIE FOR!!!! They do serve you chips with salsa and refried beans right away (very addicting) when they seat you. Our waiter was always on top of his game making sure we had drinks and making sure we were okay. Before our food came out he also did come back around and asked us to repeat him our orders just to make sure we all got our right plates! The food and drinks rivaled those we've had in Mexico - truly authentic. Margaritas were fairly priced and "boozy". We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bean dip that accompanied the super yummy chips. The service was amazing. The Mexican food here is a little above average. We received complimentary chips and salsa and a plate of warm retried beans with cheese and tomatoes on top. My wife ordered the lunch combo player of a beef tamale and shredded pork. The beef tamale was the highlight with the corn mass outside being moist with a good quantity of beef. The pork taco had cheddar cheese on it which was odd. I had what was supposed to be a shredded beef taco and instead it was a ground beef taco with a chicken burrito which was nothing out of the ordinary. They came with the standard rice and refried beans. Food 3.5 stars - Tamale pretty good and complimentary refried beans were nice. The rest just OK. This place does not have 4 Star or better food. Service - 3 Stars - They were efficient and nice but did not get the order right. Atmosphere - 3.5 Stars - It was nice enough with Mexican feel to it. But who's complaining?! They just ranked themselves up to my favorites. Complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip! Service: Quick, attentive, our waitress was extremely sweet. Even though the restaurant was busy, she was on top of her game. They have a huge drink menu, so many options, so little time to drink. "Gambuena" was bomb. It tasted pretty much like a pina colada but the stronger version. Food: I got the "Camarones al mojo de ajo" it brought shrimp and mushrooms, both sautéed in butter garlic spices, with rice on the side and black beans. Upon entering the staff was sitting in the waiting area chatting and two of the staff where sitting so close to each other hugging and holding hands! Not a professional entrance at all! Next we were sweated, I understand Spanish a bit and expect that my server would understand a lot more English than she did, in fact the staff has spoken less and less English every time I go there!!! It is getting discouraging! We started with an appetizer "queso dip" I think not, it was like a cream sauce and never thickened, won't order that again!!! Disappointing!!! Next we placed our order, my friend ordered the combo plate, no onion, no tomato, needless to say the plate came with tomato! Again, if our server understood English she would have communicated that to the kitchen! I ordered the mole burrito , my go to! Black beans on the soft taco dishes were super good in their simplicity. We had Casa Vallarta which was a combo, 2 kinds of soft tacos. All delicious. Was hopeful after seeing 4 stars, but was disappointed. Service was okay. Salsa was mediocre. Ordered queso dip, and definitely was not made fresh, had funny after taste and very thin. Hubby got steak and chicken fajitas, they were okay, meats overcooked, no pico de gillo or additional salsa served. I ordered the puerco adovado - seasoned grilled pork over grilled jalapeños and onions. That was tasty, but again a bit dry, overcooked. Rice, bland on both accounts.. was so hoping to be wowed. Trusted my fellow yelpers & decided to come here and check it out last night. The boyfriend & I were around the area and we were getting borderline Hangry. I was craving Mexican so seeing how this place has 4.5 stars I was sold. It was packed when we got there and the atmosphere was very live. Not in an obnoxious type of way, but more so with everyone having great food, great drinks, and great conversation. Our server's name was Zach (it could also have been spelled Zack) and he was very friendly, very personable, very funny. He definitely made us feel like we were talking to an old friend the way he conversed with us. The menu was very easy to read. There were pictures of all the dishes and a description for each one. The first 2 pages were of the drinks and there was more than enough to make it hard to choose from. I had the Mango Marg & it was very very tasty, super refreshing. I ended up getting an enchilada meal & my boyfriend got a chicken meal (Pictures will be posted below) I was NOT expecting the plates to be that HUGE. It was very large portions and it was steaming when it came out. I wish I could have finished but there was just no way....(I had leftovers for this morning though, so I can't complain) Ambiance : Fun, Lively, Busy. Service : GREAT! He was an awesome server with great hospitality! Drinks : Tasty, just enough alcohol in it to get me buzzed! Food : HUGE portions, very tasty, very flavorful! Let me start by saying that the food in my opinion gets 5 stars, but the piss poor service of our waiter made my husband say we won't be back. The waiter came over pretty quickly with the chips & salsa which were yummy. The menu is pretty extensive, so when I told him we needed a couple minutes, he said ok, but then never came back. After about 10 minutes we flagged down another waiter who took our order, and it arrived efficiently. I ordered the paso tacos (pictured) skipped the black beans and got extra rice instead. The taco shells were grilled a bit which made them a little crispy and held together well. The chicken, cheese and pico inside were plentiful and flavorful, as well as the guac and rice. I was full and satisfied. However, when we got the check and inserted our credit card, the waiter never bothered to come back. What's worse is they weren't over busy and there were literally 9 servers on the floor, most were standing up front chatting. I tried to eye the server who took our order, but he and everyone else kept passing by. We had a tired toddler and had to get out of there. So after 10 minutes, we opted to pay cash and gave them what we had which left the server with a minimal tip. My husband left him a note that he would have gotten more - if he came back over to take the check. Honestly the $3 we left was more than his service deserved. Too bad because the food was pretty authentic, good portions and price and quite delicious, but the service aggravation kind of ruined it. UPDATE: We went back again and the food was still good and the service was much better, so I moved it up to 3 stars. If we have another good experience I'll move it up to 4 or 5 :) read more

Really great food and awesome portion sizes. The service was awesome, I believe that the manager or someone higher up came by and asked us if we needed anything and then came back promptly with the requested order. It seemed to be a very busy place with a lot of family activity (a Birthday as well), so it was definitely a noisy location. They did sing for the Birthday so be prepared for that if the occasion is right. I would say that everything was good but you really can't spend less than about $15 for a meal. Like I said though, the portions are awesome and you could definitely get away with sharing a meal with one or two others depending on what you choose. I saw that they do offer a few non-traditional items like burgers and wings which I did not try; But I'd say that from what I saw you would want to stick with the Mexican options because they do it right! read more

Had some decent food here the other night. Reasonable prices and the ambience is nice, it's cozy and on the smaller side. I had the Tres Tiros fajitas, which is steak, chicken and shrimp. The meat and fish had good flavor but the refried beans and rice were very bland. Guac was ok but they don't give you much of it or the shredded cheese. The free chips were hot and fresh, always a plus, but the salsa was runny and flat without any heat. I didn't have a margarita, everyone else's looked delicious and were nicely sized. I been getting this place lately, really enjoy the burritos here. The burritos are larger than most places in the area, prices are fair for what you get. Chips and queso are good, good salsa, overall a good place and definitely would recommend it. I have to try more stuff here though before I rate it higher. read more

One of my top 3 Mexican Restaurants in Boston Metro Area, I have been come here for the last 3 year and I'm never disappointed. First off very clean and spacious, the staff is friendly and efficient, an order never takes too long to arrive. Chips and salsa at the table right away - as it is common practice - but with an extra bonus: Frijoles con Queso Dip! I don't remember having that anywhere else... Oh wait, yes I think they do it at Temazcal Burlington (which is a fancier mexican) Anyway, very good, it goes super well with chips in my opinion. Then the Mango Margarita, One of the best, if not the best in my opinion, I always have me one of those, even at lunch on weekdays . Then for last but not least, the Carne Assada... Hmmm so good. I like it medium well accompanied with sour cream. The rice in particular very well seasoned and, as we say it in Brazil: Soltinho, arroz soltinho! Which means well cooked and loose, not like sticky and sushi-like. Very important info for my Brazilian friends out there. Well anyway, I highly recommend this place for your next visit. read more
