I have never been one to review restaurants online as I find it to be a place for people to voice their entitled opinions with no actual service industry knowledge but because of a recent experience I had at Casablanca on Bluemound, I made the choice to make a yelp account to share my story. My husband and I have dined at the casa on Brady street a time or two in the past and have always enjoyed it. When we heard about the new place in Brookfield we stopped in to check it out. The two of us came in for a quick app and drink. We sat at the bar and checked out their new menus, placed our order and then began chatting with the bartender. She was very helpful in answering all of our questions about the menus and the new location. She told us about the family and all the great new food options to try out. When our appetizer arrived she checked back with us periodically and got us some extra pita bread and sauces. After finishing our food and drinks she asked if we wanted another round and we explained we only had time for a quick visit but were planning on coming back. We were drinking wine and she mentioned that if we liked the wine we had, that they have half priced bottles on Monday and Tuesday nights and if we came during happy hour we could get the half off bottle, half off and app and she recommended a few main course dishes. What a great date night idea! We closed out and as we left me husband suggested we come back for our anniversary. Fast forward to a month later (this past Monday) We decided to come back for our 6 year anniversary because it fell on a Monday this year. Because we had more time to enjoy ourselves this time, we sat at a table. When we came in, the same bartender was working and gave us a smile and a wave, recognizing us right away. She asked if we were back for date night and we said we couldn't pass it up but we were going to sit at a table this time. She came around to the host stand and sat us herself at a table in the front of the restaurant right by the windows and ensured us that a server would be over in just a moment and she would make sure we were taken care of. We were not disappointed. Our server was very energetic and just seemed like he genuinely wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible. We got the bottle of wine, a combination appetizer that had a variety of choices on it, my husband had the baked lamb and I had a salad with salmon. The food was AMAZING! After clearing the table and offering us dessert menus, our server asked if there was any special occasion for the evening. We explained to him that we were told to come back in for a wine/date night and that it was our anniversary. He congratulated us and we asked for our check. When he came back we were so incredibly surprised by a beautifully decorated plate reading "Happy Anniversary" and two pieces of baklava on the house. What a way to end such a special night! All I can say is a huge thank you to the staff for making our experience a night to remember. We cannot wait to come back and plan to tell all of our friends in the area about the great new locations. Keep up the great work and thanks so much again! read more

Casablanca is the pinnacle of Mediocrity, but saying this is probably being way to kind. We debated about going here and some other places and chose here only because it was close. I should have known better than to have come here, the mixed reviews that Casablanca has received not only here on Yelp, but also on Trip Advisor were warning enough not to come here, but I went against my better judgement and did anyway. The Food: *Beef Stuffed Potatoes= C. The potatoes tasted like they were out of a box. *It came with a salad that was also extremely mediocre not really that good tasting = C-. This salad had a bitter taste that lingered in my mouth the rest of the meal. This appetizer was bland and lacked flavor and vision. *Portobello Burger-Terrible amateur presentation, thrown together poorly to create a sandwich that was a total mess. The taste was confusing and lacked direction. The sauce was really tasty but if you bit any where else in the sandwich it was just way too salty. Here again grade of C-. *The Burger came with french fries which were actually pretty good=B+ *Chicken Shawarma Wrap = C. Stuffed with too much cabbage. The service was above average. The hostess who seated us and our waitress were both fine. However what was not fine was seeing a waiter bring back a Hookah from the smoking section and puff on it while walking through the non-Hookah section. Unprofessional and the smoke smell lingered after he had passed. The inside of Casablanca is really large but the decor is gaudy, cheap looking and like the food tasteless. Like a few other people have stated, I saw when they were doing the construction on this place and wondered who would be so dumb as to open up a restaurant in this spot, did they do their homework? There have been so many restaurants that have come and gone in this very spot, some that were much better, I just don't see how such a lack luster place will make it. We were kind of thinking about trying out their brunch before totally writing the place off, but after what we sampled today, I don't see any reason to bother. read more

I was very disappointed with CasaBlanca restaurant in Brookfield. Their prices have become so expensive that I only order from them for special occasions. However, this experience was frustrating. For 3 dinners and an appetizer, I ended up paying over $90. What made it worse was that the online menu listed lower prices, but when I arrived to pick up the order, the prices were higher. By that point, it was too late to cancel. The portion sizes are generous, but the seasoning and overall quality have drastically declined. I ordered the shrimp kabob dinner, but the shrimp seemed to have no seasoning other than lots of salt. Everything in the meal, except the rice, was overly salty. I thought it might just be me, but everyone else who tried it agreed. The beef shawarma used to be a favorite, but this time it was a major letdown. Instead of the usual thinly sliced, tender pieces of meat, it was served as large, tough, and dry chunks with a burnt flavor. The hummus and Baba Ghanoush were also overly salty. Store-bought hummus tastes better than what they served. For an appetizer, I ordered the falafel platter, which turned out to be another disappointment. The falafel was dry and overly salty, and the extra tahini sauce I paid for was thick, pasty, and lacked any real flavor. Unfortunately, this ruined what was supposed to be a celebratory birthday dinner. This used to be my favorite restaurant for many years but after this experience, I won't be going back to CasaBlanca. read more

After what seemed like ages of remodeling the new location, the new Casablanca on Bluemound finally opened up. I'd been to the Milwaukee location many times and was eager to try out a location closer to where I live. Let me just say, it did not disappoint. To start off the night, I arrived with a group of 4 people. It was about 7 PM and the place was packed. Going in, I thought that we may have had to wait a while, which I was content with. However, the haste at which they made room and got us our seats was phenomenal, and was a great first impression of the establishment. I also LOVE the large windows in the main dining area. They make the area feel so open and it is a very enjoyable environment to eat and converse in. I would love to try the rooftop patio next time around. I would also like to commend our waitress, Carolann. Not only was she one of the most friendly servers I've encountered, but watching her make her rounds all night looked exhausting, and she still managed to check in with us an appreciated and appropriate amount, making sure our service was satisfactory. She also recommended the Jibneh Rolls to me when I couldn't decide on an appetizer, which were remarkably good, and the rest of the meal was just as exquisite. The chicken shawarma was some of the best I've ever had and tasted very authentic. The quality of food and service here led to a very pleasant 2 hour stay and outlines my ideal Friday night. I recently stopped into the new Casablanca to check out their catering options. I host a lot of parties at my lake house in the area and we always try to branch out and try new things. A friend of mine suggested we go down a Mediterranean route this past weekend and I saw the new locations had just opened in our area. I came in a few days before actually placing my order and the manager on duty (I believe Lisa was her name) walked me through their menu and I selected a few dishes. Placed my order for pick up a few days later to feed about 18 people. We got a variety of appetizers and a few kabobs. When the day came to pick up my order i received a call saying it was ready for me and I when I came in, the same manager was working and remembered me right away. She walked me through the entire order to make sure I had everything I could possibly need. So incredibly helpful and stress free which is exactly what I'm looking for when I come to Wisconsin on vacation. Huge thank you to the management team for all the help and the kitchen staff for cooking some great food. Everyone at the party had great things to say and I'm sure the ones that stay in that area will be stopping back in. Cant wait to come back and try some food and drinks in the restaurant. read more

The question isn't always do you feel like eating somewhere, sometimes its as simple as do you feel like BEING somewhere. The atmosphere is what sells me on any restaurant. I came to Casablanca Brookfield last Wednesday for a little dinner and a glass of wine. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted with a smile and offered a few menus. After receiving a glass of pinot nior the bartender recommended me and placing my appetizer order I was informed that there would be a live jazz band performing that evening. I was only planning on a quick visit but I am a sucker for live music. Needless to say, the little jazz duet pulled me in. Sang along to a few old tunes and may have danced in my chair a bit. I sat at the bar and enjoyed their performance for over an hour and a half before they closed their set.Closing out my tab I found out that they run their happy hour through out the jazz night (meaning half priced glasses of wine and appetizers). Lets just say that was the cherry on top of a lovely evening. All in all, food, drinks, service and above all else, the atmosphere were all outstanding and I am happy to say I plan to be a returning customer very soon! read more

All i can say is WOW! I have been a customer at the Brady street location a few times over the years and I was so eager to try out the new restaurant in Brookfield when I came to town next. I have always been one to give new location a few months to settle in before trying it for the first time. I was NOT disappointed. I have been a vegetarian for 5 years now and that was the main reason I had tried the Brady street location to begin with. I came to the Casablanca on Bluemound during their weekdays lunch buffet expecting to order off a simple lunch menu. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they have a VEGETARIAN LUNCH BUFFET! (If I could insert about 78 heart eyed emojis right here I would haha) They had everything my heart (and stomach) could imagine. From falafel, hummus, baba ganoush and tabbouleh to baked cauliflower, classic eggplant, tahini potatoes and nutella french toast. Copious amounts of sweets with an amazing balance of savory options.... all you can eat for less than $15. Just WOW! I cannot wait to return and see what else they have to offer. My company recently stopped in for an event we were hosting on the second floor at Casablanca. We were there during happy hour and had a group of roughly 45 people. When making our reservation the management team was very helpful and thorough when going through all the details. When we came in for our party everything was ready to go. Plates, silverware, waters, napkins, etc... As our group arrived everyone was directed upstairs and joined our party right away. The server and manager on duty were very attentive but not intrusive which was greatly appreciated. We had hummus, stuffed potatoes, falafel, and some casa wings. Everything tasted great! (Best hummus I've ever had). My company took care of a few rounds of drinks for our staff and we were so surprised how quickly the bartender was serving out those drinks. Service was just incredible. Very friendly environment with a different type of cuisine you don't typically see in the Brookfield area. I cant wait to return with a smaller group for happy hour and some game day specials. 10/10 would book again! read more

Absolutely love this place! We live far from Milwaukee, but would venture out to Casablanca on Brady because of their awesome buffet. My bachelorette party also visited there years ago and it was such a fun experience. Now Casablanca on Bluemound is our new spot! For a place that just opened, and has all new staff, they're really pulling it off! The building is breathtaking how beautiful it is. They have casual, family style restaurant during the day and dinner times. Late at night on weekends it seems to be more club themed with a DJ, which I like! They also do a great job at keeping the hookah smoke to one side of the restaurant and completely smoke free on the other side. They're open until 2am Fridays and Saturdays, which is new to Bluemound Rd in Brookfield. I have high hopes for them. They cater to friendly family dining and late night crowds. I think this place will really take off! read more

This place is a great restaurant to come to. Their food is top notch, they accommodate large parties and I know that everyone works very hard there. For you elite helpers, this place is new and it's a shame that (not all) but some, leave horrible reviews about slow service, new servers and hosts not knowing what to do. The owners put a lot of money in this building and is a family owned business. Why would you want to put so many people out of a job and bash this new place that's still working out the bugs? They are very proud of Casablanca and opening a new location. Negative elite yelpers, go take a walk, get some fresh air. Get a new hobby that makes your life and society better. If I could be a yelper for your life, I'm sure I wouldn't give you five stars either. Casablanca team, keep up the great work guys! read more

I used to make the drive from Brookfield to Brady street since 2007 just to be part of an amazing experience: delicious food, great vibes, entertainment, belly dancers, yummy speciality drinks and martinis, flavored hookah.......music was amazing. Casablanca really raised the bar for downtown. It offered a different yet exquisite experience. Now the new Brookfield location is 7 min away in Brookfield and I have been there several times since the opening and still enjoy this unique place. Brookfield now has a HOT SPOT for dining and nightlife experience without the need to drive downtown. I recommend everyone to check it out. As any new place, be patient with a couple few hiccups to work out but 5 stars all the way. read more

They should have waited another month to open in order to get their kitchen and wait staff properly trained. We waited well over an hour for our food and when it came the soup was lukewarm and 5 of us ordered the beef shish kabob medium and it came well done, dried out and lukewarm. The rice was dry and salty. Those who ordered other entres were somewhat satisfied. After being assured when making the reservation that we could have separate checks, not only could they not do it but the bills were not accurate. Our waitress was pleasant butshe was very inexperienced and could not get the orders straight. Unfortunately, we can't recommend it to our Brookfield neighbors or anyone else at this time. read more

I've never tried Mediterranean food before, so my server recommended the baked lamb and it was delicious! My friends also got different lamb dishes that were all cooked to perfection. It's a beautiful atmosphere that's perfect for any occasion. If you haven't tried hookah, there's 20+ flavors to mix and match with! Don't like smoking? That's fine, you can request to sit in the non-smoking section. This location is more family-friendly compared to downtown, so it's perfect for the whole family to come. Our server Angel was very professional and a great server! The rest of the staff are all fantastic. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I'm from London and was pleasantly surprised by our visit to Casablanca. The resteraunt was clean and well ordered. The Menu was wide and varied. I often eat at a range of Middle Eastern resteraunts and London has many. This resteraunt would be really appreciated and enjoyed particularly in North London and I would be a regular visitor. Four of us ate and we ordered different starters, main meal and desert. All were really good and everyone of us rated the food highly. I particularly enjoyed the baked Lamb. When I'm back visiting my friends in Milwaukee I'll certainly be returning here for a fine meal. read more

Carolann Cohen Grzybowski utterly rocked my world and altered the course of my life with her top notch service. Hospitable, accomodating, social yet efficient, this was premium work from an apparent master of the trade. I've never experienced a night as satisfying on this many levels as my evening in this eatery, and the entirety of my satisfaction is due to Carolann. I'm frankly taken aback by the gargantuan impact her work has had on every aspect of my life as well as my families', and I very much look forward to visiting Casablanca again for another euphoric, pneumatic, life changing evening with Carolann. read more

Last night was my 2nd time at this new restaurant. The first time was for lunch a week ago, the buffet was fantastic, fresh food and good service. Last night for dinner, there were 4 of us and we all loved the food. Started out with the appetizer sampler which had amazing flavor, then we each had different combination plates which were fantastic. We capped the night with drink and hookah on the upper patio which has very nice outdoor sofas. It was so nice to be in Brookfield at a place that's not a chain. The interior is beautiful with huge walls of windows that open up. I highly recommend Casablanca! read more

Casablanca is just what Brookfield needed! I love that their is a place I can go with friends to just hang out and relax instead of Fridays. The interior is beautiful and I love the outdoor balcony. They have brought a bit of Milwaukee to Brookfield which is great since I'm not a fan of driving downtown. The food is pretty good too. If you go make sure you sit at the bar and to ask for Irving!! He gives great service and is quick to see if you need another drink ;). This is a place I will be frequenting. Welcome to Brookfield!! read more

I have always loved Casablanca on Brady street! So obviously I was excited to hear months ago that they were opening a second location in Brookfield, which happens to be a lot closer to me! It has a great atmosphere and amazing outdoor patio. I loved the belly dancers that they had walking around the restaurant on Saturday night, very fun. Service was great, very nice people. Food was delicious, love the jibneh rolls and will defiantly be returning to this location asap!! read more
