They do provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion in good essential oil scents that's aren't too strong. They also have robes and an umbrella in the room. Close to everything !! Hotel provides slippers, robes, free coffee and water, and even umbrellas. And there was a tv in the main room, a tv in the bedroom AND a tv in the bathroom! My friend and I had a lovely stay at the Pearl recently. The staff is friendly and always happy to help. They were able to accommodate my request for a room away from the elevators. Much appreciated! The location is great if you're seeing shows on Broadway. Our room was nice and quiet on the 9th floor.The room itself was nice and clean, and absolutely huge by New York standards. So much room to spread out. The beds were nice and comfy. The TV had lots of channel options, but the remote was a bit finicky. Not too bad though, probably just running out of batteries. Breakfast is included, yiur standard continental fare. There is a tea and coffee station always available on the lobby level, and a daily wine reception in the afternoon. I was impressed to find Lemon Lift at the tea station, it is a favorite of mine and rather hard to find. It's the little things, truly. Overall, my friend and I enjoyed our two nights at the Pearl. Just stayed 3 nights at The Pearl in NYC and could not have been happier. Location was perfect for us, just off Time's Square and also many great restaurants in Hell's Kitchen. Continental breakfast was a nice surprise with pastries and fruit. Room was large for NYC and had modern fixtures, it was also very clean. We were a bit concerned with our room location, as the door was literally right next to the elevator bank. However, there were no issues at all with noise. The shower had a very strong water pressure and felt great. Staff at check in and check out were very nice, as was all the staff. We look forward to staying here again soon. read more

Notable: right in the "good spot" if you are coming for theatre, 15 min to Rockefeller by foot .. small but not too small. Pictures definitely made it look A bit larger and nicer. Its easy in and out and the staff was excellent. One thing that may bring us back is the continental breakfast open 7-10am daily a very generous timeframe. It's basic but has fresh bagels and pastries and fruit. Simple but good. They quickly ordered a car service and it was right on time. They have coffee tea hot chocolate and snacks 24/7 in the lobby. Not so notable: the tv in the bathroom didn't work .. the fan in the bathroom didn't work, they were reported day one and weren't ever fixed. On arrival There were splatters of toothpaste on the wall (vomit) and the sink didn't look clean. It looks like it's on the verge of an almost needed remodel with cracks in the tile and wear throughout. The toothpaste may seem critical- but when you look over and see toothpaste or hair in a tub when you first use a bathroom in a hotel room .. you get that sick feeling. $1500 for a few nights- comes with a set of expectations. We had beautiful accommodations and there was no noise from the traffic. The staff at this hotel went on and beyond to help you in any way. We will be back. Went here for my first visit at New York City. As soon as I got out the taxi I took to get there the staff took my luggage and opened the door for me. The check in was super easy with the staff being understandable and super kind. Went to my room that costed 500 dollars and for 500 dollars it was amazing. 2 beds, a chair that transformed in to a bed, and then a beautiful bathroom. This small boutique hotel could be fabulous but it needs to rethink a few things. They have feather-free pillows, but no soft pillows, only very firm ones. Soft down alternative pillows do exist, and are good for people with neck/back issues. The rooms are somber and dark!! We turn on every light and it's still too dark in there. Ditto the bathroom, too dark. And the itty-bitty shower head doesn't make for a luxurious time in the shower. Shower needs an additional grab bar to help you step out safely. The location is good and staff is friendly. With a few changes, it could be the most desirable hotel in the theater district. read more

Stayed at the Pearl for two nights while in town to see a couple of shows. The staff were very kind, but, overall the experience was not great. My room, while clean has seen better days and could use a refresh. Scratched wood walls, laminate pealing from bathroom door, dated decor and dark. We stayed on the side of the hotel that had a lot of very loud traffic , honking, trash trucks emptying Dumpsters at 1am! Both nights nearly impossible to sleep for more than 2 hrs at a time as the street noise was so loud. Additionally, this is the first hotel I have ever stayed in that only had one lock for the door. No secondary lock on the inside. There is a deadbolt, but no latch or slide lock. They do have offer a continental breakfast each morning and hot beverages available 24/7, but no complimentary water. There is a bottle of water in your room, but you will have to pay $8.00 for it. The location is good for the theater district, but ask for the side of the hotel that is not on 49th street. read more

Yesterday was my birthday. I scrimped and saved up to see the Broadway show next door to them. I paid $208 to Expedia for an overnight stay . It was SOOO frigid in NYC my phone battery would not stay charged. The concierge and the owner REFUSED to honor my reservation because after paying a $34 facility fee, I did not have $100 left on my card for them to put a facility hold. The manager claimed that ALL hotels in NYC do this, which I know is not true, b.c. I have come to NYC for a Broadway show or concerts before, and stayed overnight in OTHER hotels. I am in leadership. I know that as a manager, you have the authority to make concessions. But this manager would not budge. I could not keep arguing with them, the show was about to start. I had to drag my luggage next door and put it in coat check during the show, and I THEN had to leave the show early to see if I could get an early bus back home, since I now had nowhere to stay, and it had dropped to 8 degrees from 11 degrees by nightfall. They just turned me out like I was NOTHING. As if to say, "It's not OUR problem that you are a broke b((((!" If the bus conductor did not take mercy on me, and let me take the last bus out of NYC, even though my phone would not charge so I could prove I had paid for a round trip ticket, I FOR SURE would have frozen to death, by the Hudson River. I STILL have pain in my thumbs from where frost bite was already setting in. I called Expedia once I returned and let them know they should put a disclaimer on their site that this hotel charges and ADDITIONAL $134 above what pay for the room om Expedia. The lounge areas have very cozy comfy seats. Location wise you're in the center of it all and have easy walking access to so many attractions. And the subway is also close by. Leaves much to be desired. I'll start by saying great location and very helpful front desk staff. Wine hour in the lobby. You will be charged a daily "resort fee" which is strange considering there's no business center, the gym is minimal and doesn't have showers, one ice machine located in the lower level. I don't know what amenities are actually covered by the fee. In the rooms, the TVs are very dated and slow. This is a strange complaint but oddly all the outlets are very "loose" so things that you plug in fall out very easily (very annoying for drying hair or charging devices). No USB ports for charging. We had a late checkout and the tag in the door indicating room occupied and housekeeping still opened the door 2x in the morning, very frustrating when trying to relax. For this price point, I would expect a bit more quality and better amenities. read more

Hotel was ok... clean and well located. The management was not welcoming. We were surprised by a facility fee that had to be paid separately at the location. We booked through a third party. They said that had I booked through the hotel that it is included in the price. I had tried to book through the hotel.. unfortunately I had a question regarding parking and could not reach them via telephone. The manager smugly pulled up the third party website and pointed out the fine print... I was unimpressed. I booked via a phone application that didn't show the predatory fee warning. I say that it's predatory because it it in no way needs to be charged in this sneaky manner. It can be added into taxes and fees like most other hotel bookings. This is a greedy little way of squeezing a few more out of you after you are at the door with nowhere else to go. The third party booking company agreed and refunded the fee. We stayed later in our trip at the Wallace. Night and day difference in customer service and room quality. read more

My experience at the Pearl Hotel was amazing from the start. I was getting married at the church next to the hotel so in January I walked into the Pearl to inquire about the rooms for my future stay in March. Jaime was so helpful booking the three rooms we needed and arranged for Jose to show us the room options. I fell in love with King Suite right away and knew it was where I wanted to get ready on my wedding day. When we checked in there was such a nice personalized note to us congratulating us along with a bottle of prosecco and two champagne glasses. The room was spectacular complete with three closets, a large bathroom with a bathtub and shower and L'occitane bath products. We had a king size bed as well a pull out sofa. At cocktail hour they have a really nice spread of wine,cheese and snacks which is where we met Ozzy. He was so helpful knowing our wedding was in a couple of days and he went the extra mile taking care of us and making sure our cake was delivered and set up. I am very sad that I didnt get a chance to see and thank him before we checked out as we left during his shift to take our wedding pictures. Ozzy thank you for everything and your exceptional service. It did not go unnoticed. William the doorman was also delightful. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the snacks and coffee and hot chcolate. I enjoyed the wine and cheese and veggies. I enjoyed the wonderful service. I will definitely be back to the Pearl Hotel. read more

The TV in the room and bathroom are comically small and overall the best thing about the stay was the l'occitane products. If you're visiting New York and plan to use the subway, I recommend this place because of the location. All the main subways are located near this hotel, so when you come back to your hotel you'll arrive a block away. Plus this location is near a CVS so you can buy water for your room. We got a king suite and we had a fridge and microwave. Most of the staff are polite but there were some who seemed rude but I think it's probably more of a New York attitude that I'm probably not use to. The reason why I gave this place a 4 star is because they insisted on cleaning our room all the time and said it was their policy. But when we travel we never get our room serviced and we usually just leave like a $40-$60 tip when we leave. Because I'm a nurse and I always thought it was annoying when a patient would request to have their linens changed everyday and they would stay for a week. The way I look at it is if I don't change my linens or vacuum everyday at my own home why should I have the maids work hard everyday just because I'm on vacation? The room is small and we have a lot of stuff so it may seem messy but it's not and we always take out our trash everyday. Another reason why I gave this place a 4star is because they wouldn't let us have a late check out, and this is the first hotel that denied our request. We travel 6x a year and have always gotten a late check out. So it's was kinda like a bitter sweet ending to my vacation. But I still recommend this place because of it's location. Also they have free coffee at the lobby and have free wine at 5pm. And you can have ice sent to your room. read more

The hotel could not be more ideal in terms of access to Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, Central Park. There are also several subway stations within short walking distance that provide easy access to the entire city. Hotel staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly. They were very good about checking proof of COVID vaccinations prior to entering the breakfast room and staff were always wearing masks and the breakfast bar was really very good!! This is a great option for those of you attending a Broadway play. Otherwise, why in the heck would you want to be on a street with Chicago, Book of Mormon and a bunch of others nearby? And this close to the dreadful Times Square (I can't stand it). Two key words: soundproof windows. Our room was right across the street from the Eugene O'Neill Theater where we saw Book of Mormon, but we couldn't hear a thing from the room. Whoever installed the soundproofing here, you weren't paid enough. Literally, we watched the stars of the show from our room sign autographs for an hour after the show. And the space... For $380 (before taxes) we got two large beds, an entry suite and a separate bathroom on the other side of the suite. That's unheard of space in this town for the price. Few minor room issues--are there ever enough plugs for today's electronics? iPhones, iPads, Laptops, etc.? Also our shower leaked a small swimming pool but otherwise, very nice. Breakfast buffet is fairly typical although the coffee was very good. Standard misc. bread items, juices, and peeled hard boiled eggs. There's a new one. Nice view of the lobby and street from there. Plenty of NY Times newspapers. No complaints. Nice bar attached to the lobby with restaurant. We had a drink, but didn't eat there. The staff, very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again at all. A very enjoyable, albeit, just a one night stay. read more

Oh, Pearl Hotel, how I miss thee! This is, by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in, not only in NYC, but anywhere! We were a party of three and I was the last to arrive. I was asked if we were celebrating anything and a few minutes later, there was a knock on our door and a special gift for us on the other side. This started off our stay quite nicely. We were staying in a queen suite and all the amenities were fantastic! Bathrobes? Check! Keurig machine with a tea and coffee? Check! Umbrella for that damn rain? Check! Philosophy bathroom products? Check! The beds were ultra-comfortable and we enjoyed the living area each day. It was a nice place to eat, relax and watch some television. The bathroom was spacious and I loved the separate shower and bathtub. The shower was divine! The water cascades from overhead while you have the option of a hand-held wand. It was an experience I won't soon forget. Decided to workout a few days. While small, the equipment is sufficient and the workout towels are quite nice. The staff can make a break a business, and the employees here make the stay all the more wonderful. Every single person was kind, friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was so-so and we only made the wine hour one night. The area on the second floor where they hold both became hangout spot for us a few times. Finally, the location is superb! We walked to just about every thing we wanted to go to. There is a subway stop two blocks away and another about four or five blocks. The key thing about this place is its location. It is so close to Times Square and all that has to offer: shows, restaurants, bars, shops, bus tours etc. It's called a boutique hotel but in the UK I would just refer to it as a normal hotel as it's not that small. I guess in the US it probably is a small hotel with only 14 floors! The room was good, more spacious than I was expecting as lots of reviews I'd read had warned about the size of hotel rooms in NYC. It was more functional than luxury but I certainly wouldn't class the accommodation as budget style. The decoration was nice, there was quite a few extras like a TV in the bathroom, a good sized fridge and a microwave. The staff were courteous and helpful when asked. The free continental breakfast had more on offer that I expected but we still ate out as we enjoy experiencing an American breakfast. However to give you a guide, there was a selection of pastries, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, bagels, toast, choice of teas and coffee. We tried the complimentary cheese and wine on one day and it was good, there were crackers, fruit/veg with some dip. It was a nice way to chill out for a little while and get a second wind before more shopping and going out for your evening meal. We used the gym once (I know, I think we even amazed ourselves) and while small it had enough machines in for us, with a few treadmills, a bike machine and a couple of others. The temperature in the room was set by a thermostat we couldn't alter but you can open the door or window to outside when you need to cool down. There's cold water, apples and hand towel/face cloths for you to use. We didn't quite work out how to use the TVs attached to the treadmills (we usually run on the streets so it was all new to us and it wasn't easy to do while running) but as far as we could work out they seemed pretty good machines. read more

Location: The hotel is 2 blocks from Times Square, so just close enough to get to everything but far away from the huge crowd, as well as the noise. It's a block away from a subway stop. The Pearl's nearest subway stations include the N, Q, and R trains at 49th Street and 7th Avenue; the 1 and 2 trains located at 50th and Broadway; and the A, C and E trains located on 8th Avenue between 49th/50th. Their is a market store at the corner, so you can grab snacks for the room. Of course, tons of big and local restaurants to choose from all around the hotel. Staff/Service: I cannot rave enough about the service. The staff was great. They remember our faces & asked how our day went every time we came in. Greeting you at the door is the bell man...I couldn't believe on of the girls remember what activities we were gonna do and asked how it went?! One of the guys gave me options of stores for shoes & came over to me at the end of the day to ask how it went & give me more suggestions..it's amazing to remember how it feels to get great customer service.
