Very nice hotel a few blocks north of Times Square in the theater district. Room was spacious, well lit, and had lots of storage abilities. Hotel provides slippers, robes, free coffee and water, and even umbrellas. And there was a tv in the main room, a tv in the bedroom AND a tv in the bathroom! The bathroom was over the top with lighting, the tv, glass tile everywhere. And the tub was separate from the shower which had a rain shower-head.

If they don't work, it becomes a disappointment and shows neglect. Prob Best to remove if not in use

Notable: right in the "good spot" if you are coming for theatre, 15 min to Rockefeller by foot .. small but not too small. Pictures definitely made it look A bit larger and nicer. Its easy in and out and the staff was excellent. One thing that may bring us back is the continental breakfast open 7-10am daily a very generous timeframe. It's basic but has fresh bagels and pastries and fruit. Simple but good. They quickly ordered a car service and it was right on time. They have coffee tea hot chocolate and snacks 24/7 in the lobby. Not so notable: the tv in the bathroom didn't work .. the fan in the bathroom didn't work, they were reported day one and weren't ever fixed. On arrival There were splatters of toothpaste on the wall (vomit) and the sink didn't look clean. It looks like it's on the verge of an almost needed remodel with cracks in the tile and wear throughout. The toothpaste may seem critical- but when you look over and see toothpaste or hair in a tub when you first use a bathroom in a hotel room .. you get that sick feeling. $1500 for a few nights- comes with a set of expectations. Compliments to the staff who were always nice and helpful.

Went here for my first visit at New York City. As soon as I got out the taxi I took to get there the staff took my luggage and opened the door for me. The check in was super easy with the staff being understandable and super kind. Went to my room that costed 500 dollars and for 500 dollars it was amazing. 2 beds, a chair that transformed in to a bed, and then a beautiful bathroom. The only problem I had with the place is the tv not having a lot of channels to watch, and the heater not working properly but other than that. 5 Stars.

Yesterday was my birthday. I scrimped and saved up to see the Broadway show next door to them. I paid $208 to Expedia for an overnight stay . It was SOOO frigid in NYC my phone battery would not stay charged. The concierge and the owner REFUSED to honor my reservation because after paying a $34 facility fee, I did not have $100 left on my card for them to put a facility hold. The manager claimed that ALL hotels in NYC do this, which I know is not true, b.c. I have come to NYC for a Broadway show or concerts before, and stayed overnight in OTHER hotels. I am in leadership. I know that as a manager, you have the authority to make concessions. But this manager would not budge. I could not keep arguing with them, the show was about to start. I had to drag my luggage next door and put it in coat check during the show, and I THEN had to leave the show early to see if I could get an early bus back home, since I now had nowhere to stay, and it had dropped to 8 degrees from 11 degrees by nightfall. They just turned me out like I was NOTHING. As if to say, "It's not OUR problem that you are a broke b((((!" If the bus conductor did not take mercy on me, and let me take the last bus out of NYC, even though my phone would not charge so I could prove I had paid for a round trip ticket, I FOR SURE would have frozen to death, by the Hudson River. I STILL have pain in my thumbs from where frost bite was already setting in. I called Expedia once I returned and let them know they should put a disclaimer on their site that this hotel charges and ADDITIONAL $134 above what pay for the room om Expedia. It's a shameful, sheisty money grab! Expedia agreed, and is processing a full refund. Talk about PISS Poor Hospitality! I STRONGLY Do NOT recommend this hotel!!!

I FRIGGIN LOOOOVE THIS PLACE!!!! There's not many rooms on every floor so you don't have to walk FAR AT ALL!!!!! PLUS!!! Scroll down for a major key alert. they have this second floor- continental breakfast 7-10am, free coffee, tea, mhmm and SNACKS! I'm a big girl, so I love my snacks. Wine hour: 4-5pm daily, check with front desk -they also have a little EE Grill eating area- cozy, and convenient! Lobby area: -while your waiting you can charge your phone, MULTIPLE areas to charge with cord, or the box plug- PLUS!!! (i'm the plug really i'm the plug- plies voice) (ran off on the plug twice) -infused water while waiting, with small snacks -FREE LUGGAGE CHECK- YASS!!! HALLELUJAH! -very very sweet front desk people, helpful, courteous, and understanding***** -concierge will direct you wherever you wanna go Rooms: - they have a microwave, fridge, lamps with charging areas, dresser, ROBES with SLIPPERS!!!! I'm in luxury bro! -Restrooms: clean, AND major key alert they provide L'OCCITANE products! LOCATION: -Its MF LIT YALL! It's perfect, right around the corner from TIMES SQUARE, DIRECTLY Next to Broadway shows... -right next to subway stations My only complaint is.. -while turning on the water keep in mind that, the little head that you could move around, will spray water DIRECTLY at you.. so, point it downwards and turn the water all the way to HOT, so the water can warm up .. and THEN turn on the shower head- or else you'll freeze.

There were 2 different switches and it was confusing to figure out what controlled what. The staff were very friendly. They were able to get us into our room early and they let us check out late. They always greeted us when we got back to the hotel room throughout the day. Plenty of food options nearby. Would absolutely stay here next time we're in NYC.

One thing to note: the hotel sits right above a sports bar, so it can get noisy when there's a game on. The gym was a low point. The hotel shares its fitness facility with a Planet Fitness, which feels out of place for a mid-tier Marriott -- not quite what you'd expect from the brand.

Prime location! Modern, spacious rooms (for the city)!…read more The elevators though.... Oy. I stayed at this hotel over the New Years holiday and was thrilled to be so close to Madison Square Garden and Times Square. As was expected, check in was a bit chaotic given the time of year. The ground floor entrance was PACKED with luggage on first arrival. After weaving our way through, we located the check-in desk on the 5th or 6th floor. Tons of people but adequate seating to wait for our room to be ready. An upper floor meant having to figure out their dreaded elevator system. It left something to be desired, to say the least. With only 3 elevators that service the whole of the hotel, and a 4th that goes who knows where, it was almost always a lengthy struggle to catch one. No buttons on the interior of the carriage, all elevators were called with a touchscreen device that seemingly tried to pack as many people as possible into one small space, leaving many behind that couldn't fit, before directing the passengers to another elevator to repeat the whole process over again. One day was so bad, it was actually preferable to walk up the stairs to the 14th floor. Woof. The room itself was wonderful. Spacious, with 2 beds. Very clean. Beautiful view of the city and the arena next door. Great way to catch the sun set. Walk in shower with both an overhead and handheld shower attachment. Great lighting. Shower had heavily frosted glass that faced the bedroom area so be prepared for your silhouette to be on full display for anyone you may be rooming with. Nice sized closet, safe, and mini fridge. Big flat screen television. Window shade worked very well to block out the light if you're hoping to sleep in late. Walls can be a bit thin, especially if you have a rowdy bunch of kids right next door as we did. Aside from the elevators, the perks far outweighed the usual peskier elements (e.g., noise, etc.) one encounters when staying away from home. Would stay here again, perhaps during a less busy time of year, if that's even possible.

The Library Hotel is every bit as charming as people say, but what really makes it special is the team. I arrived by car while the building was hidden behind scaffolding, and the front desk was incredibly kind and patient, helping guide me to the loading area so I didn't spend my afternoon circling the block. Housekeeping was so gracious and helpful throughout my stay, the bartender at Bookmarks very kindly helped my friend carry our drinks down to the room, and checkout took less than 30 seconds. Every interaction was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. The themed rooms are such a fun touch (I loved seeing how each one was inspired by a different subject), but I also have to give a shout-out to the practical things. I took a few work video calls from my room on the 12th floor, and the Wi-Fi was ridiculously good - honestly stronger than the Wi-Fi in my own house when I'm sitting five feet from the modem. Not a second of lag. The TV also had a ton of premium channels, which was such a fun surprise after long days exploring the city. And finally, a standing ovation for the real MVP: the air conditioning. New York was basically a sauna while I was there, and every time I walked back into my room I was greeted by the most glorious arctic blast. It was so good that my friends ended up wanting to hang out in my room and order dinner instead of going back out into the heat. Perfect stay from beginning to end. I can't wait to come back.

Whenever you get to spend time with other book lovers, it's a plus, so I also very much loved being able to talk to people in the common room on the 2nd floor. They also offered the price including breakfast. Arrived at the hotel and saw that they only had one working elevator for a hotel that was over 20 floors high. There was a line for the elevator that you had to wait for at least 20 minutes to take. I asked the about the breakfast and they said the restaurant was closed so no hot breakfast. Why is this hotel offering a room rate price with breakfast when there is no restaurant for breakfast?! They told me they had bagged breakfast, which was always gone and coffee was all gone too. Took over 10 minutes to wait for new coffee to arrive. Renovation work bright and early at 8am. I was offered loyalty points for compensation by the manager, Delanie, and these points never showed up.
