Excellent service, not something I find myself saying to often post pandemic. Truly appreciate how kind and even excited to have us. Get the giant meatball stuffed with cheese, it's crazy delicious. Beautifully kept space, it's an older building with renovations that kept its history. Lots of family pictures that tell the story of a wonderfully big Sicilian family. Full of wonderful character and my favorite smell...sautéed garlic! Served with warm bread and butter, don't pass on the wine and your in for a treat, Entry has small but colorful garden, (memorial day weekend), nice big parking lot. Soft jazz plays. My new favorite spaghetti and meatballs!

Went here with a small group for Restaurant Week and had a great time. The food is good here but what really sets them apart is the service and atmosphere. Not only does it feel like an old school Italian joint, but the service is incredible. Our server was very personable and felt like she was a friend, helping us out, rather than an employee of a food establishment. They were very busy this night but we never felt rushed or like an inconvenience to them. Their Italian Nachos are one of the best appetizers I've ever had. There's no reason that they should be that good, but they can make the whole night. My only knock on the cuisine was that my red sauce had a large chunk of tomato rind in there and was a little runny, but it doesn't ruin the night by any means. Their cocktails also aren't the best, so I would suggest sticking to the wine selections for a spot like this. There are tons of great food options in KC but the places that keep you coming back are the ones that help you feel at home and Cascone's knocks that aspect out of the park.

Everything was amazing! The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and felt at home. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and it was the best I have had in a while! Also Steven was a great server!! 10/10 recommend

Food is yummy. Service is great. I fell in love with the scenery as well. 10/10 if you're visiting Kansas City this is a must!!!

Fried chicken for me and Lasagna with a Meatball for my wife. Amazing!

Other restaurants from my youth have come and gone North of the River, but Cascone's remains. It remains for a reason, and that's because they still bring great food to the table. The lasagna is still as good as it was 40 years ago, with the delicious Sugo, the Italian bread is soft and sprinkled with sesame seeds and the Fried Chicken is maybe the best in Kansas City. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing and made you feel like you were having a family dinner. I love the family pictures on the wall, because it tells the story of the Cascone family and how much they are a part of Kansas City.

Spent my birthday here and it did not disappoint! The inside is very old school which I love about a lot of italian restaurants. The complimentary bread is one of the bests which is amusing because it's so simple but it hit the spot. I wanted to try a bit of everything so did the italian flag. The lasagna was my favorite but everything was incredibly good. I ended with tiramisu which was good but not the best I've had in the area. On the way out, the host recommended we try the fried chicken next time so we will be back!

First time here, I called before and it's walk in only. We arrived on a Saturday night about 6:15 and was told there was a 45-50 minute wait. We went to the bar, where I got a lovely red sangria, we could have eaten there but decided against it. Our wait time was about 20 minutes, people that arrives about 635 were waiting that long. Once we were at the table we ordered the stuffed artichoke with seafood, it was delicious with not only shrimp but scallops also. Next up was our meals I ordered the Italian Flag which consisted of Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan and Alfredo. All well prepared, and I have dinner for tomorrow. The hubby ordered the chicken spedini, he enjoyed it, nice flavor. Robert, our waiter was very friendly and helped us with any questions we had. I will definitely be back.

Laura, the owner, greeted us as soon as we walked in and was probably the sweetest and most welcoming person we've met in Kansas City. She immediately made us feel at home. We started with the meatballs and burrata, both of which were delicious. The meatballs were especially well seasoned. My wife had the bolognese and absolutely loved it, and she really appreciated having gluten-free options available. I had the cacio e pepe, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. All in all, the food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. One of our favorite meals of the trip. Highly recommend for both locals and visitors alike.

Great upscale Italian atmosphere without making you feel like you need to pronounce every menu item with an accent. The menu has a nice variety, and our waiter was fantastic. He took the time to explain the dishes and even gave us a heads-up on which items took longer to prepare. I always appreciate the honesty--nothing worse than wondering if your entrée is being handcrafted by Italian grandmas in the back. The drinks were delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced. We did find out they have a happy hour at the bar...right after we missed it. Rookie mistake on our part! The lasagna absolutely stole the show. Rich, flavorful, cheesy, and worth every bite. If you're on the fence, order it. The appetizer was tasty but felt a little small for the price, so I'd probably save room (and money) for more pasta instead. Overall, I'd definitely come back to work my way through the menu. Next time I'll aim for happy hour, order another pasta dish, and try not to let the lasagna set unrealistic expectations for everything else.

It always feels like a special night out. Ashley is usually our server, and she's an absolute gem. She offers thoughtful recommendations, knows the menu inside and out, and provides the kind of warm, amazing service that keeps us coming back. The food is consistently outstanding. On this visit we shared the ceviche, the tagliatelle Bolognese, and the Campo Lindo chicken breast. It was all delicious. We love that the menu is always being updated, but they continue to offer some of our favorites. The ambiance is just as memorable as the food. Whether you choose the oyster bar, the cocktail bar, or the dining room, the experience always feels elevated. They also have a great private dining room. Some of the best Italian inspired food anywhere. It's justifiably difficult to get a booking, as befits the best restaurant in Kansas City. Beautiful dishes in a great atmosphere. Start with the ambiance: it's usually busy in an enjoyable uplifting way. People watching is at a peak here as smart diners move between elegant and tasteful furniture while friendly, professional (and invariably handsome) wait staff glide through it all. If you recognize and appreciate good Italian design, this place will delight you before you've even glanced at the menu. Talking of the menu - it's a revolving tableau of Italian inspired deliciousness that will cause you to pause after each first bite - and look up at your dinner companion with a smile that says "wow"! Last night I had a lobster roll that defied gravity in its lightness. And the taste and texture was just perfect - what an appetizer! It was a moderate eating evening so I only had the pasta. A Carbonara of homemade thick noodle pasta with a deeply seductive cream sauce base. Paired both with a selection from the other great feature of Farina, its wine list. My selection was a minerally dry sparkling rose (I know, but trust me!) from the slopes of Etna. The wine selection is itself a wonderful experience - I'd recommend sticking with the Italian options - of which there are many, and they are quality examples some of which are rare finds in America. When you add great service and - as always - a brief check in from one of the two owners (he chef, she sommelier) you can round out a top level dining experience right here in KCMO. One to rival any other eatery in much bigger markets - or even Italy itself.
