How fun! My mom, sister and I had a girl's stay-cation in Liberty area a few weeks back and Luigi's was the obvious choice for our dinner. Firstly, they were wonderful in working with us on our reservation. I had to change it several times due to limited Ubers, so I was grateful that they were understanding. Secondly, the staff was lovely and accommodating. I ordered the shrimp and scallop Alfredo and was REALLY craving a side of marinara and I didn't get so much as one eye roll! The food was good and relatively unique as Italian restaurants go. The corkage fee was very reasonable and the vibe was nothing too special but clean and the artwork was nice! I will definitely return when I make my way back up to Liberty. Thanks Luigi's! read more

This is a cute restaurant with attentive servers. The shrimp scampi was quite bland, needed more lemon juice and some salt. The lobster ravioli was very good in flavor. The bread that comes with the meal is quite large and very delicious. No problems with that! The dipping sauces are excellent paired with the bread as well. The mussels were horrific. I suspect they were overcooked as they were rubbery and tough in my opinion. Not much flavor either. Overall, this place is a little better than the Olive Garden. Would I go back? Maybe. The pricing was expensive for the portions. There weren't any leftovers. I usually take home pasta, and there was no need here. read more

It serves god Italian pasta and pizzas. Bread was ok The pasta I got was Luigi's special, which has different type of sausages, a piece of chicken and spinach and peppers. The sauce was thick and tasty, and pasta was ok, but with the sauce, I finished the whole plate. The servers were super friendly and attentive, it was a wonderful experience dining there. The location of this restaurant is in a cute nice shopping square, which is a plus so it can be a included in the shopping itinerary. read more

We had the fried calamari appetizer - pretty average but still tasty. The bread + dipping oil was obviously fresh & flavorful. I got the shrimp florentine & it was delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly & the cream sauce wasn't too heavy. Our server Thomas was very pleasant & kind. We went on a Thursday night & got our food very quickly. Luigi's has quickly become my favorite restaurant. They have a huge menu with plenty of Italian options for everyone. The Alla Panna appetizer is a simple but super flavor sauce that you dip with the complimentary bread. It was a huge hit with my whole family, we even took one to-go and it's only $6. I had the Ravioli Champagne for my entree and it was FANTASTIC. It tasted just as good as it looked. Our server was attentive to our needs and always kept our drinks refilled. The atmosphere is intimate but lively. You could go there for a nice lunch or to celebrate a birthday, it goes either way! Yelp never disappointments to suggest the best restaurants when you're in an unfamiliar area. Case in point - Luigis! We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. As with all Italian places, Luigis serves fresh baked bread. They accompanied it with an olive oil dip, but not the standard that you're used to. Luigis olive oil dip has balsamic vinegar swirled in and small bit of marinated red onion. It was SO good. It's hard to put the bread down and wait for your meal! The chicken fettuccini Alfredo was very good. The portion is a bit smaller than what you might receive at another restaurant, but still more than enough to fill you up. The pasta was egg based, sauced well and the chicken was very tender. The waitress brought out a huge bowl of thick, freshly grated Parmesan which added perfect flavor. The little guy couldn't resist scanning the dessert menu and opted for the Lemon Mist Cake. I was thankful he shared a few bites because it was SO good. The icing was made from marscapone so it wasn't overly sweet which I loved. If you're looking for authentic, homemade Italian in the Liberty area, give Luigis a try. read more

Taking a rare break from BBQ, four of us decided to try Luigi's. We had a 7:00 reservation and found a classy yet relaxed atmosphere. Our server was professional, efficient, and attentive. I have unfortunately lost her name but her service was exemplary. The menu is - as it should be - all Italian. Complimentary rolls were served. Additionally, we ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. I decided to keep my entree simple and had a side salad followed by spaghetti with meat sauce, meat balls, and Italian sausage. We were all offered freshly grated Parmesan as well. Other entrees the table ordered included baked lasagna and chicken parmigiana. It was all delish right down to the Cannoli and Nutella Cheesecake deserts. Next time you're jonesing for an authentic Italian dinner I strongly suggest you take Luigi's for a test drive. I had a Mediterranean salad with chicken which was tasty (not too much dressing), my husband liked his lasagna, although it was unconventional (not a slice), having what seemed like only one big noodle on the bottom. Never fails to deliver! Absolutely amazing food. Started with the calamari which was fresh, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. I had the spaghetti which was "the works" with meatballs, slices of Italian sausage, meat sauce and angel hair pasta with slices of mushroom and just the right amount of sauce. First time ever eating here. I was hesitant. My husband loves pasta, but I am gluten free. I gave in and figured I'd try to find something. To my surprise the menu was quite large with a lot of options! They even offered a gluten free pasta substitute. Our server Thomas was very knowledgeable and kind-his service was top notch. I have to give the food 4 stars as it is very good . Nice ambiance , great date atmosphere. I've been there for both lunch and dinner . My friend and I each had one of their ravioli dishes at lunch . My ravioli had three pieces and hers had two pieces . Thus the reason for me mentioning the cost was very high for the amount served . I really don't know when I'll be back . $14 for a Negroni? How is it possibly worth more than $8 to dump three equal measurements of different bottles? That's just asinine for a simple drink. The portions are fine, but cannot be justified at this price point without a side salad. The quality of food more than fine, but the price across the board is absurd, when there's much higher quality Italian food south of the river for less money ($6 extra for a side salad at this price point is robbery). Lastly the servers don't really create space for intimacy at any level with constant badgering until your order is sent to the kitchen. Lots of areas to improve here, and I can't say I'll be back until the prices come to a reasonable level. read more

Ok I have been meaning to review Luigi's for a while now. When I went to Italy last year, we ate all the pasta and pizza and forever were saying how it NEVER made our stomach hurt. Even cream sauce which is a major culprit for me. Anyway, all of the Italian restaurants here make my stomach hurt. Never fails. Sometimes it's worth it, most of the time it's not. Enter Luigi's, I'm not sure what kind of voodoo magic is going on here, but it's amazing. Everything! The service and the food continues to bring us back. YOU MUST NOT LEAVE WITHOUT GETTING THE ALFREDO DIPPING SAUCE. It's my favorite thing, maybe ever, at any restaurant. I have gotten the vegetarian pasta primavera twice now and both times it was equally incredible. My husband has gotten a lobster dish and a shrimp dish and loved both. Also, our stomach didn't hurt! Not even a little bit. I'm not sure if they bring in flour or butter or both from Italy, but it feels that way! Incredible and a MUST for someone looking for amazing Italian! read more
