I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience, I feel compelled to share it. I purchased a premium Mother's Day peony arrangement from Unico Flowers for $174.99. The flowers arrived looking beautiful, and I immediately acknowledged that to the florist. My complaint was never about delivery. My concern began when the arrangement significantly deteriorated within approximately 12-24 hours of delivery. The flowers noticeably changed color, browned, and began losing petals far sooner than I reasonably expected for a premium arrangement at this price point. I documented the condition with photographs and contacted the florist immediately. What disappointed me most was not simply the flowers, but the customer service that followed. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, expressing any sympathy, or attempting to preserve the customer relationship, I received a series of emails blaming flower care and making assumptions about what my daughter and I "probably" did or did not do. Over time, the explanations ranged from claims that the water was not changed, that the flowers may have been near heat, that peonies are delicate, and even comparisons to steak and milk. Despite months of communication, not once was I offered a replacement, partial refund, goodwill accommodation, or even a simple apology acknowledging that spending $174.99 on a Mother's Day gift and being disappointed less than 24 hours later would be upsetting. What I found most surprising was that a small business, which depends on customer loyalty and repeat business, chose to respond with assumptions, accusations of bad-faith dispute activity, and threats regarding fees and legal action rather than focusing on customer satisfaction. I chose to support a small business because I expected a higher level of customer care than I might receive from a large corporation. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The issue was never delivery. The issue was never whether flowers eventually perish. The issue was that a premium Mother's Day floral arrangement significantly deteriorated within approximately 12-24 hours, and the florist never meaningfully addressed that concern. I told them my limit was $150, which should have been more than enough for two plants. When my son went to pick them up, he chose a two-stem orchid instead of two plants. So I have to admit, I don't live in NYC and so when I saw how much the flowers cost I was very sceptical at first, but it's Valentine's Day so I was relatively easy to convince. the delivery was so quick. And the wrapping was so beautiful. I have never seen flowers wrapped and boxed so nicely. The flowers are among the freshest I've ever seen. Each one is flawless. I was on lunch this Spring and the lush greenery of the plants the business placed outside was inviting. Little did I know that was the only thing. Got it you have to run a business I get it, no problem. "Excuse me" I said to get the shopkeeps attention. On Saturday at 5 p.m. I went into the store front having never been there before, panicked, needing two special arrangements for a dinner party at 7 p.m THAT NIGHT. The party was being thrown for my sister who knows everything about and loves flowers. I know nothing except a beautiful bouquet when I see it. My request was for a wild-flower look. My expectations were low because I didn't think there was that much that could be done on such short notice and with such tight timing. Read other reviews before heading to Casey's months ago to purchase some plants & roses for my house. Some were complaining how the plants were overpriced and most agreed the flowers were worth the money. In my opinion I dont think the flowers/plants are over-priced at all. Ive purchased several plants in March and they're still in crisp condition. The pink&red roses are still going strong and its been a week and a half I brought them home. If I were to buy these at elsewhere, these plants wouldnt have lasted a week with me. Ive tried many many many floral shops/markets around the area but Casey's cant compare to any other places when it comes to their legit arrangements. BTW the owners are superrrrrr friendly and they really care for their plants! James literally wrote down the time/amount of water I need to give per plant I purchased. How sweet is that! read more

I always walk by the gorgeous array of flowers and potted plants lining the street and I walked in to an overwhelming (yet pleasant) natural aroma of flowers (duhh). I bought a potted hyacinth of three today for a friend's birthday. I asked if he could "make it all nice and pretty" and he cleaned up the pot, covered it in moss and wrapped it up in white and purple tissue paper and bagged it in a brown bag with handles (for easy carrying).
