It's the best gas station I could find in the area. I can't really complain about much especially since they actually had parking

My work colleagues and I got sat and were informed of a long wait as there was only one server - cool. No problem. It happens. We are sitting about 20 minutes when a table of 8 gets sat next to us. The cook immediately came from behind the counter to bring water for them. We were still sitting there with nothing. Our server came over - apologized and got our orders and brought out our drinks. Our salads came out and all was well. Then we waited and waited. We were informed that one of the potato pizzas we ordered couldn't be made because they were out of potatoes. No big deal. We changed the order. Then the group next us - who came in 20 minutes after us and ordered after us all got served their pizzas(including a few potato pizzas). While we waited and was not served. Finally realizing that our diverse group of 5 was being shafted for the very non-diverse group of 8 we asked for our pizzas to go and we left. So if the intention of Il Lazzarone was to make us feel sidelined and "othered" - congratulations. Job well done. Because we left there being reminded of just how how bigotry feels. The pizzas was still great in my hotel room. But you will never see a recommendation from me or dime of my money again.

The waitress did a great job explaining and her recommendations were spot on! We started off with the bruschetta. It was very fresh and layered with flavors! We then ordered the Salsiccia Italiana (Mozzarella, Sausage, basil, olive oil, sea salt) and the Crepa (Mozzarella, bacon, basil, garlic, balsamic glaze, olive oil, sea salt). We both agreed the the Crepa was our favorite but they were both very good! The Italian sausage was very flavorful. We ate half of each pizza and saved room for dessert. Our waitress recommended the S'mores with added cookie dough. It was so yummy and worth the calories! We love supporting these type of specialty restaurants in St Joe. We will definitely be back!

The Food They are known for their hand-stretched pizza, and the crust is definitely the highlight. It has that perfect chew and char. The Pizza Bowls: A great option if you're trying to stay low-carb but still want all the pizza flavors. Taco Tuesday: If you're lucky enough to be there on the 2nd or 4th Tuesday of the month, the tacos are a must-try. Just a heads up--they usually only do tacos on those nights, so no pizza then! The Vibe It's a cozy, "hole-in-the-wall" kind of place in the best way possible. It's where the locals hang out, and the staff is incredibly welcoming to travelers. Because they are only open for a few hours in the evening (5 PM - 8 PM), it can get busy quickly, so showing up early is a good move. Things to Know Hours: They have a short window, so plan your drive accordingly! Parking: Plenty of easy street parking right in front. I stopped in with a small group of friends, and found the location to be cozy and welcoming. Service was friendly and we were seated quickly. Everything on the menu sounded incredible, but we ultimately settled on a bacon cheeseburger pizza and salad. The pizza was incredible! We opted for thin crust and it was perfectly crispy, with plentiful toppings. It left me wanting to try the rest of the menu and make this my new go-to for pizza in the area (worth the drive from Leavenworth!) I am usually great at remembering pictures for my reviews, but somehow missed grabbing a single one of this meal. I'm sure because it was so good that we dug in immediately :) Definitely check this one out on your next Weston visit!

Since they do not take reservations, we stopped by early hoping to get on a waitlist. The hostess was super helpful and gave us a realistic recommendation on the best time to return when we would have a fighting chance at getting seated together. Honest AND strategic... we appreciated that! Of course as the number in our party dropped it helped, just saying! Currently only the downstairs dining area is open, but once seated, service moved quickly and the food came out fast. We ordered ravioli appetizers that apparently entered the witness protection program and never made it to the table due to a communication mix-up. Honestly, I am blaming one of our table mates for that one and not the server. Now for the important part... the cheesy breadsticks were AMAZING. Like "everyone suddenly gets quiet at the table" amazing. We shared several pizzas, and while both that I tried were delicious, the Carnivore pizza definitely won my personal pizza championship over the Meet Me in Weston. Bonus points for the crust options available too! Overall, great atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service, and really good pizza. We will absolutely be back... but next time we are putting someone in charge of ravioli accountability. Even better if they would take reservations as very few restaurants in Weston do!
