Casey's movers did my move on 10/13/23. My experience was great. They showed up early and ready to work. Started with a walk through labeling items that would go different places (my move was slightly complex which they handled with ease). They then wrapped off my doors and banisters and rolled out mats to protect my home. Then they started in. The whole thing went faster than expected. All the guys were friendly and easy to work with. The whole experience was great. Never spoke to Casey as he was out of town, but Valerie who managed everything via phone & email was fantastic. You do have to pay a deposit to reserve the time slot. However as a professional, I see nothing wrong with that. It's a commitment they are making also and need to ensure they are paid for their time & efforts in case you flake. Valerie confirmed the night before and, right on time, 3 guys showed up even though I paid for 2 (not sure this will be your experience). However, it worked out for the best because they finished up just in time to catch some lunch before their next job. I was moving into a studio and it took 3 hours total to load & unload from one Apt in the Pearl to another apt across the bridge in Boise/Eliot. I tried to be thoughtful and not pack too heavy.. but I had a LOT of boxes of books. I warned them of that and they didn't even blink an eye. The guys were extremely courteous.. even though being called ma'am makes me feel old .. it was yes ma'am whatever you need ma'am the whole time and with patience and a smile. It was a bit of an awkward situation I was moving out of and they made the whole thing a breeze that day which was certainly appreciated. Will DEFINITELY use again. Moved from Chicago to Portland using a U Pack Shipping Cube. Due to unpredictability with the cube delivery, I had to call Casey's on short notice. They were able to accommodate me and were very thorough on the phone. On the day of the move, I met the team at the cube facility. They unloaded the cube, loaded the truck, and then we met again at my building where they unloaded into my apartment. The team was friendly, communicative, responsible, quick, and careful. My movers in Chicago were disappointing so I was wary of how Casey's would do, and I was pleasantly surprised. The cost was reasonable and I would use Casey's again in a heartbeat. read more

We hired Casey's Movers October 2021 and to say they were amazing would be an understatement. We had never used movers before so I was pretty nervous about it, all of our furniture is brand new and I didn't want any of it to get damaged. There was Not a single scratch on any item, they were super careful. All three guys were super friendly. They didn't waste ANY time, in fact they worked way faster than I believe any other company would have. Casey and his team were on time (early even!) and ready to go right when they pulled up. They took their time making sure they covered carpets and hardwood floors as to not get anything dirty. They took apart beds, tables, misc. and put them all back together at our new house (amazing!). They wrapped furniture and covered corners of the walls to not damage any property. Truly top notch! If I could rate Casey a 10+ I would!! We had what seemed to be a somewhat easy move... a large treadmill from SW Portland to NE Portland. I was happy with the quoted price. Well, factor in two 100+ year old houses with very narrow doorways and it became more complicated. The two guys who showed up were friendly, diligent and worked so hard to get this thing moved. They were able to finally maneuver it out of my daughter's house but when it came to my house the inside door frames were just too narrow. They explained that the treadmill was too technical (wires, etc.) for them to take apart to enable it to be moved. They offered to come back with a technician on another day, to take it apart and move it to the office where we wanted it placed. I was okay with that, but Casey came to our house right away. He and the initial two movers stayed for an additional two hours in order to take it apart, move it to where we wanted it, and put it back together. All that, and we weren't charged an additional fee! I will definitely remember this company for future moves, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for movers!! read more

The crew was friendly, professional, hard-working, and competent. Where the business could have done better: 1) We had agreed on 2 movers for 2 hours, for a total of $250. They showed up with 3 movers and tried to charge us for 3 movers, which is significantly above the pre-quoted price. Note that we were moving stuff out of a 8x10 storage locker and into an apartment a mile away. It was not enough stuff to justify 3 movers by any means. 2) We used them for furniture pickup and had a competing quote for a flat $125 flat fee. I told them I would be happy to give them the business as well if the cost does not exceed $125. I gave them flexibility with timing so that they would not have to waste time in traffic. They could have checked traffic conditions but instead spent 3 hours picking up the furniture and tried to charge me $240. 3) Confirmed the move the day before. I called and emailed to confirm the day before and received no response. On their own, I would rate the movers 5 stars. But the way the pricing was quoted and then changed didn't sit well with me. read more

Will not use this mover again. Somewhat professional, worked deligently, and was prompt. They used mask but no gloves. Learn from my mistake. Don't have any movers disassemble your things or you'll find yourself cursing at the sun and the moon because they took apart things not meant to be taken apart from the factory. Because when all is said and done, and the situation calls for you to piece together the parts - you're left scratching your head as to how and why. Also, anything that is fragile and valuable should be transported to the new place by yourself if possible to avoid being damaged. Most movers will state "license and insured" but at 38¢ a pound for damages (say your big screen TV was damaged upon arrival and is cracked showing colorful lines and no picture)...if tv is 100 pounds you will only be compensated for $38! It's a joke, ain't it? I had to buy a new replacement tv. The owner tried to get a hold of me with a few phone calls afterwards but that was it. A month has past hence this review. The guy (owner operator) is a nice guy and I'm sure it wasn't completely due to negligence, more like ignorance but lesson learned. read more
