David and his brother are very nice and the ad says bring in your furs and we will buy them for up to $12,000 a fur. This is just a come on so when you get there, they quote you a high price for your fur but then they say you have to come back with gold in order to get that price for your fur. Mom and I had three furs and they said they would give us over 5700 for the three furs and to come back with 300 grams of gold and they might pay up 10,000 for the gold and then buy the furs. They offered to come right over to our house and weigh our gold so we wouldn't have to drive back to Palm Springs. I'm not that stupid. Mom and I took all our gold jewelry and got an estimate for 2300 and Mom got an estimate for 4700 on her gold jewelry as well before we went back. We had way under the 300 grams he wanted to buy our furs. Then we went back with our gold and furs. they were going to give me $1500 for my jewelry and my fur when I got an estimate just for my gold at 2300. He would not buy my fur for even 100 dollars after quoting me 1500 on the first visit. The deal here is first you bring your fur and the quote you a high price to to buy it and then you run home to find all the old jewelry that you've never going wear. Then they offer you way less for your jewelry and probably throw away the mink or maybe sell it at their pawn shop. David told me he was shipping these furs to Europe and needed the gold to get a better shipping price. That sounded ridiculous to me. I not saying anything they are doing is illegal but it is on the shady side in my opinion. So. Mom and I left with our furs and jewelry. We went straight over to our place in Palm Desert, PMR precious metals,and got a check for $2330 for mine and $5000 for mom's jewelry. The only bad news is we still have our furs on the closet! The only good news is he gave us $20 for the gas for coming twice which mom and I had lunch at McDonald's.
