Charcuterie for lil nom noms was perfect with the tasting we had to celebrate a couple birthdays over the weekend. Recommend making a reservation for larger parties just to make sure they have good seating for yall but they are also super accommodating with drop ins. The wines are also oh so good, literally the first and only time I signed up for a wine membership before leaving the first time around. Finally had a chance to check out Casino Mine. Very nice venue with great, relaxing view of the pond. The grounds are very beautiful and the tasting room has a nice modern flare. I like the fact there is one charge for their testing whether you sit indoors or out; unlike other wineries just across the ways. Service was great! Our hostess was very attentive. The wine was good. Having already 6 wine club memberships I wasn't sure if it was worth to add another. The wines were good but just didn't add this one as a club membership. Maybe next time. read more

I've been to casino mine ranch several times and I always have a wonderful experience. The property is a beautiful space to relax and sip wine on a nice day. The staff are incredibly friendly and so detailed when it comes to explaining each tasting. I love that you can create your own charcuterie board here too! There is such a nice variety of crackers, cheeses, meats, jams and fruits. I always love to take a bottle of rose home, my mother in law just became a member too so we will definitely be visiting even more. Even though Plymouth is a little bit of a drive for me from the Sacramento area I try to come here every chance I get on a nice warm sunny day! read more

I have been a member here for over a year and really enjoy our time at this lovely winery. For some reason I have been slow to post my review, maybe I wanted to keep this beautiful new winery tasting room a secret! This newer tasting room has been open for a few years. It is just east of the town of Plymouth in the county of Amador. There are several tasting areas but only one inside area. The inside area has a bar, some tables and picnic tables. There is a patio with misters just outside the check in and inside area. There is a brand new tasting area just past the pizza oven. Then to the left of the tasting room is picnic and grassy area where you can sit with the younger crowd(under 21). We have enjoyed very attentive service here and love bringing our out of town friends. The rolling hills of oak trees and small pond in front make for a nice atmosphere. The wines are good and there is an option on the weekends to get sandwiches and pizza. read more

I have been here a few times- it's a gorgeous newer winery. Fantastic views and very nice tasting room. We came on accident once (my husband, myself, and my daughter) and then we came again once or twice because they had pizza on Sunday with a GF crust option (my daughter has celiac). For my birthday this year, I wanted to go to one or two wineries. I wanted someplace with lunch. There aren't many choices in Amador county. I remember they had pizza and cheese and stuff to buy. Their website said they were serving food on the weekends- perfect! Now I don't love their wine. They whites are good- I like their sauv blanc. But don't care for any of the reds. But I wanted to go for the nice ambiance and lunch and then over to my favorite (Rombauer) since they had a dessert pairing. I made the reservation for inside (not knowing how the weather would be). But then I ended up having more people than I anticipated, so they had to move us outside- no biggie. I was OK with that. The day of my daughter decided to go. She was not yet 21. She was like 30 days from being 21, so very close. She has been there with us 2 or 3 times before as well. I saw on their site they no longer allow people under 21 inside. I told my daughter she could come because we were going to be outside now. Upon arrival, we walked in and the lady IMMEDIATELY said no one under 21 allowed for our reservation. I said we were outside and she said it can't be on the PATIO area it has to be on the GRASS area. She made a HUGE stink and my daughter was humiliated and immediately turned around and went outside to go to the car. I asked if we could go to the grass instead and she said yes. Easy fix. She did NOT need to be rude, esp on a birthday with a large party. I told her my daughter is a few weeks away from 21 and we were there 2 or 3 times not very long ago with her IN the tasting room. She said there was no way. I didn't agree, but went to take care of my party. I looked it up on my account there. On July 15, 2024 (my husband's birthday), we were there with her inside. She ordered a Mexican Coke and we had 2 tastings. Total was $43.75. Looking at the order now... We sat down and waited for help. We waited a while. Had to ask for food menus. Finally got them. Food was extremely limited and overpriced. TINY cheese plate for like $34 or $38 dollars. Salami and honeycomb were extra, which would have put it at like 50. Chips with cheese on top for like 15. Plus another cheese and crackers thing for like $15. My party wasn't happy with the prices or selection and left hungry. Tasting was incredibly slow. Server was a young guy that mentioned his high school- barely old enough I think. Told us nothing and wasn't knowledgeable. Again, good whites, not very good reds. Not a good experience. Won't return again. read more

While the grounds at this vineyard are absolutely stunning, I found the service to be a bit lackluster. It was our first time visiting and the hostess put us in a corner and never came back to explain any of their wines. After the first wine was poured we were mostly ignored, so we paid the tasting fee and left. The one white wine we tasted was nice, but it would have been nice to have had a flavor profile and information about the wine offered. Perhaps it was an off day; not sure we'll go back. The grounds are stunning you don't want to leave. We were so fortunate to visit this vineyard in the summer because we had amazing weather.. the pictures on the website focus on the experience, but they don't show much of the grounds which is part of the incredible experience. The wine tasting was reasonably priced at $25 ++. We had a charcuterie board and picked our own meats and cheese, and the staff added some garnishes like chocolate and dried fruit fruits. I'm not even going to describe the wines because there were too many, but I will say that they were all good flavor and we had an assortment of balanced and complex, medium body, white, and red. There is definitely a variety and there's something for everyone. We did purchase a bottle of red 2020 Legacy, and it was far better when we got home. We chilled it overnight and when we opened it up, we let it sit in the glass to breathe and when we drank it, it was absolutely delicious. It was a lighter red with fair complexity, a little sweeter, but easy to drink. This definitely is a place to visit if you are nearby in El Dorado Hills or the Folsom area the drive out there is spectacular as well as you pass many other vineyards it's just trying to find which one suits you or the mood you're in. I was in a Northern California relaxing redwood cool kind of day mood. That's what I got. read more
