Another fabulous find for us in Jeff Runquist Winery. They attended the Amador Four Fires festival…read more This festival provided insight into some amazing wines and Jeff Runquist is one of them. This winery sources wines from 12 different appellations. This means you have tremendous access to fantastic wine regions across California and wonderful varieties to tempt your taste buds. The tasting room was clean and welcoming and the day we visited it was member pick up day. The wines we tasted were fantastic and we purchased quite a few. Membership is available and several levels to choose from. I would recommend this winery. The festival provided a fantastic opportunity to taste these wines and others as well.

Super affordable!! The staff were always so attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. I loved that they did full service pours. It made the experience feel extra special. I've really been enjoying the 2023 wines lately. There are so many great ones from that year! Many options available here (as of November 2025). ※ My Favorites (as of Nov 2025): * 2023 Pinot Noir - absolutely my top pick. It pairs perfectly with the apricot! * 2022 Sangiovese - amazing with cheese. Even my husband, who normally prefers white wine, really enjoys the reds here.:)

Thanks to Tiffany K. for her review and have convinced me to try Di Arie Vineyard & Winery. I made…read morereservation in advance by email because no one answered the phone and no option to leave a message. When I got there, they didn't have my name for reservation. I had to show them the email confirmation. It was fine and we were still able to sit down right away. The inside wine tasting room is kind of small but the outdoor patio and area makes up for it. It is quite big and open. I think someone can host an outdoor concert or a wedding. We got to taste about five type of wines (Sauvignon Blanc and few blended red wine). They were all good. I particularly like the 2020 Interlude and purchased a bottle for my sister. We also got to sample from their gallery collection library club that's like 20+ years old ( I forgot the exact year) and that was special. They also have dumplings and spring rolls for purchase. I skip that because I wasn't sure if that would go with the wine. We bought some cheese with us and we had that with our wine. Of course, we asked for permission before bringing in our own cheese and crackers. The gentleman that served us was really nice and friendly. We didn't feel rushed and wine was poured at a good pace. I do want to mention that most winery at Amador will comp at least one tasting with purchase, but not at Di Arie. If you're not a member, be prepared to pay the full wine tasting fee per person.

They did their pairings with a Mediterranean lunch. This was also amazing. They also providdd a tasting of their more recent wines, 2019 Sierra Legend! It's a Terri blend of Cab Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Syrah and Primitivo! The host and hostess were all very friendly and knowledgeable! And of course to meet and chat with the wine maker himself, Chaim, was a wonderful treat! The grounds were small, but very cute and relaxing. It made for a warm, friendly ambiance! Of course we walked away with a case of the Sierra and the 3 OG vintage wines! We're definitely coming back in a few weeks. Thank you Di Arie!

We sat inside since the weather wasn't that great outside. They have beautiful grounds to taste wine and have a picnic. Since we sat inside we had Jake waiting on us. He was very nice. He gave us a bottle of water to start with and we went through the tasting list with a couple of extras. He put our wine club pickup together for us. We decided to swap out a couple of bottles. I thinks it's truly annoying they have to refund the entire wine pick up and recharge you again. It's not a friendly user experience and should be reviewed. Credit the two bottles and recharge the 2 bottles. I think it would be a simple process for the customer and the winery, and still have good accounting practices. I asked if we could have the complementary breadsticks everyone else was eating them and the girl behind the counter said we are all out. OKAY! I really love the Chardonnay it's my favorite. Rombauer makes some great wines. Bottles can be costly, but once you open the bottle and you have your first - three sips, you know why you're in the wine club. As a member your tastings are complementary which is a nice benefit. I'm happy that they hold our wine club bottles until we come to pick them up usually twice a year. It would be nice if they did complementary shipping for a penny all the time.

ALL their wines are worth the money they cost and thus we are now members. Franklin does a great job!

We were ushered into the wine cave by Jack (Tasting Manager) and we were greated with an amazing setting to taste wine and have lunch. This experience did not disappoint. It's funny to look back at old reviews and confirm that others have had issues feeling unwelcome here over the years. This being a hospitality business, greeting customers sets the tone and first impressions are critical.
