I decided to use Henry's Cab Service because I saw on both Yelp and Google Reviews that it received…read moremostly positive reviews, which can be really hard to find because it is usually very difficult to find a reputable and reliable cab company. Yesterday, I had a very good impression of this company when I needed to be driven to the Dallas Arboretum (which was more than 10 miles away from my hotel), and then subsequently, to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science afterwards. The cab driver who came to pick me up and drop me off was very punctual. When my own hotel shuttle service was unreliable and did not pick me up from the Perot Museum like I had asked them to, the cab driver from Henry's was very quick and responsive and picked me up within 15 minutes of contacting Henry's. I was really grateful for that because I was very concerned about my own safety after I was told that the hotel shuttle driver could not come. Thank goodness that Henry's cab driver came on time so at least I wasn't stranded in downtown by myself! However, I was not so impressed earlier this morning. I had already texted Henry yesterday evening to request a cab driver to pick me up from my hotel at 6 am so that I could catch my flight that left at 7:20 am. Henry texted me back and said that he would arrange that. This morning, I got up early and made sure that I would be ready to go when the cab driver came. However, no one from Henry's cab service came. I texted and called Henry to ask if one of his drivers was still planning on showing up. But he did not text or call me back. Then by 6:15 am, I finally asked the hotel front desk clerk if perhaps the hotel airport shuttle could take me, even though the hotel's policy was not to start official shuttle service until at least 6:30 am. The hotel front desk clerk this morning was very attentive and tried to summon a hotel airport shuttle to come. But he couldn't get any of the shuttle drivers to start before 6:30 am. So because of the urgency of my situation, he called a cab company called Black Tie, to come and pick me up. I was grateful for the clerk's help in trying to get me to the airport. But I wasn't too happy with the cab service he had picked because the Black Tie cab driver was very unfriendly and grouchy, and acted like it was my fault that I was late to the airport. I got to the airport. But because it was cutting so close to my flight departure, I hurried to do curbside check-in. To add further to my dismay, the security checkpoint at the Dallas Love Field Airport was SO long! Fortunately, to ease my anxiety, 2 very helpful security checkpoint officers expedited the long line by checking everyone's boarding passes to see who needed to get rushed to the front so they would still be able to catch their flights. If it wasn't for those 2 security checkpoint officers at Dallas Love Field, I would have totally missed my flight back to Los Angeles! I was really not too happy that everything snowballed the way it did when I already did everything I could the day before to arrange for a scheduled ride to the airport! I just arrived back to Los Angeles this afternoon. But even up til now, I did not even get a text or phone call back from Henry from this morning. Not even an apology text or phone call. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I was going to give 5 stars, based on my positive experience yesterday, and especially because yesterday's cab driver was very prompt and picked me up from downtown at a very critical time when my hotel shuttle fell through on me. But this morning's experience of no cab driver showing up at all, and no apology to follow that, changed my mind.

My dad was really doing the work. He thought the car just needed to get going, so we all got in and departed. You would think management would have not allowed this car to be rented or resolve the issue prior to letting customers in the car. Turns out, the driver was right and there was lack of working air conditioning in 90 plus degree Dallas weather, AND the limo also had a difficult time turning. Why had management not addressed this issue if it was a KNOWN issue? Why would they NOT have contacted me prior for an alternative option? We got to the first destination and explained the issue to the driver to seek a resolution, to which he responded, "I am just the driver. " My two friends then had to work with the driver and coach him on this to resolve. Ridiculous. They finally got to a human, who apparently seemed not to care about our experience and just instructed our driver to get another car. You would think that person would have apologized or helped support us proactively in getting a refund for the poor experience but no. We were then somehow able to get a pink limo with functioning air conditioning. I booked this EXTREMELY far in advance and am not sure why I was assigned the limo without air conditioning. Nonetheless, they contacted me the week of to let me know someone else had booked it. Well, I guess the other party got the functioning limo, and we got the non functioning one. The driver let us know that this limo was finishing up it's ride as ours was starting, which is why we got the bad one. Again, RIDICULOUS. Management should have NEVER allowed this nonfunctioning pink limo to be an option in the first place. CLEARLY it was a KNOWN issue. Very poor customer service and experience. First, even though they'll take your money in advance they won't take "reservations" - instead, you call them when you get your luggage, and within 5-10, they make a timely pickup. Unfortunately, it doesn't guarantee a timely departure. The first time I used their service, the driver kept circling and circling the airport until every seat on the van was filled. I could have claimed Texas residency by the time the van finally left DFW! This trip, I was relieved to see I was one of the last persons to be picked up on this afternoon's shuttle, but today's ride ended up being equally lengthy. Ominously, our driver nearly sideswiped a car on the freeway on-ramp leaving DFW. Then he rear-ends another car on an I-20 off-ramp in Arlington. We phoned this in to dispatch, and the dispatcher says our driver just needs to exchange information with the driver he hit, which he did. But then we sit and wait as the fire department and paramedics arrive and more information is exchanged. Then we wait some more as two police cruisers show up and information again is exchanged. In the meantime, the six passengers are trying to call the dispatching office but nobody will pick up the phone to tell us whether a backup van will be dispatched or whether our fares will be comp'ed or refunded (note - their phone automatically disconnects you after 5 minutes of ringing). Finally, some forty minutes later, the driver is released and we're back on the road again. I don't know why the local hotels recommended this service by name, when two or three blue SuperShuttle vans stopped to ask if I needed a ride while I was waiting for the Yellow Checker Shuttle, showing there IS another option - I think I'll use them for the return to the airport - the Yellow Checker Shuttle has far too much of a checkered past.
