My husband and I and another couple decided to try the Cask and Vine before going to a show at the Tupelo. We made a reservation and our table was ready upon our arrival. It's a small, cozy atmosphere. Quite nice. The service was good but it did take a long time to get our drinks. Three of us are vegetarians and consulted the menu before making reservations. We decided on the Quinoa burger but they were all out. The only other vegetarian dish is the stuffed mushroom, which was also not available. So crab cake it was. The crab cake was very good. We also ordered a salad without goat cheese it came with goat cheese. The tomato truffle soup was excellent. Two of our party ordered the Risotto which was tepid at best. My husband ate his but my friend asked for it to be reheated in the microwave. My friend ordered a flight of 3 beers and one of the glasses had a serious crack in it. It was not near the lip so it wasn't dangerous but should not have been used. He did mention it to our server but she didn't take it away. So, overall we were a bit disappointed in the food. It would be an improvement if they could add more vegetarian options and paid a bit more attention to the execution of their hot dishes. Sorry, two stars only! read more

I wish I could've liked this place. But.... no one greeted us when we came in. The food was ok but they were tiny portions for big bucks and to top it off, my fork was dirty! Not spotty dirty, food was actually stuck to it. Place had an arrogance to it. Not inviting at all. If u want a great meal...go next door to Sabatino's. Oh, beer was good but nothing special. This place is amazing! I would say its more of a bar atmosphere then a restaurant, but well appointed and not over crowded. Love that they offer flights of beer - AND flights of wine. The food is delicious, will absolutely be back! They have a 'beach week' annually where they fill the restaurant with sand - very original. Unlike David M., I give the Mother's Day brunch 5 stars! I loved it because I could try a little bit of lots of difference choices! And if I liked it, I could go get more of that item! The wait staff was very attentive in regards to getting drinks and anything else we requested. I liked everything I tried and I don't recall the scrambled eggs being dry. Although there were no young children in our party, I feel they were thoughtful of anyone who did bring younger children as they offered chicken fingers, mac & cheese, etc. I've eaten here on other occasions and the food is always excellent. Cooked to order and fresh. Due to limitations, I suspect they chose the buffet style meal in order to not overwhelm their kitchen staff and that if they had offered menu selections, the wait may have been exceptionally long. read more

The owners are great but the last two times we were here we had terrible experiences. We had a rare date night and were so excited. She sat us at a dirty table and forgot to clean it so I brought it up and she seemed annoyed with me. Took forever to get our drinks we wanted to order appetizers and she walked away for we could took a while to come back ordered apps then was gone for a long time we finally ordered dinner ten mins later she came back and told us she they were out of it so we ordered ordered another entree after about five mins comes back they were out of that as well, we still hadn't received out appetizers so we opted to try a new place. read more

I love this place, definitely a hidden gem. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and they make you feel welcomed when you come in. I've never gotten a table, but the service at the bar is great! Wine selections are plentiful. And the flares and cheese/prosciutto plates are just right. I will definitely keep coming here and recommend anyone else to. read more

Stopped in for the first time in a while last week for a local bourbon and ended up trying the very delicious Derry Sugarshine instead. Great wine list, beers, craft whiskey...Talented guitar/vocalist combo, not too loud...comfortable vibe and friendly staff. They have expanded with couches and cozy nooks. Although the plates are small they are packed with flavor! The staff was nice and it could be casual or dressy depending on your mood and group. The only thing I wish they served cocktails as well. Another nice little place packed onto the main strip in Derry. You walk in to dim lighting and tables made up from...yup you guessed it casks. Very cool setup overall. When I sat down I was greeted with great, informative customer service, that had recommendations for both beer and...you guessed it wine. So at this point all the pieces should be coming together on this whole "Cask & Vine" thing. What the name doesn't tell you is that they have a great kitchen with some amazing food. I got a bbq pork belly to start, it was tender/fatty overall incredibly delicious. My entree was boneless beef short ribs...amazing. The short ribs are dusted with pistachio and served over Yukon gold mashed potatoes and some green beans. The beef was cooked perfect as were the veggies but the star of the show is the Cabernet Demi-glacé and the steak jam.....I wanted to lick the plate. A tad bit pricey all around but well worth it for a perfectly executed meal. Overall a great experience and I look forward to trying out more of their offerings in the years to come. read more

It's an upscale bar with a million choices in beer and wine, and also serves food. I go simply for the food, and I can say with all honesty that it's my favorite restaurant even remotely close to me. Wow, what a great experience! We started our night tasting some beers and saying hello to local chickens at the associated Drinkery down the street, and ended up here at the Cask and Vine. Snagged two spots at the bar and buckled in for great wine, a delicious salad, and I took the recommended smoked trout sandwich on a soft and fresh pretzel and couldn't have been happier. Accompanying Spanish Syrah was exactly what I like in a wine, big and fruity. They have a few veg options, and the boy was satisfied with his risotto. Awkward atmosphere. Couldn't stand it really. There were only 4 tables that you could actually eat at (the 2 person tables are tiny pub sets that suck) and apparently 3 of the 4 were reserved...but after an hour or so not one of the "reservations" showed...hmmmmm. The noise level was weird in that I know everyone could hear my conversation. It was awkward as hell to the point where I immediately was tempted to leave but boyfriend wouldn't let me be rude haha! We were looking for a place to relax, try a couple of craft beers and not have to shout our order to a bartender trying to please a mob of drunks. It was pretty busy with folks having a few drinks & munchies before the show at Tupelo, but just before 8 pm, the place cleared out nicely to a smattering of folks at the bar, and the high-top tables (casks, covered with round glass tops!) at the front of the place. Great cozy atmosphere, mellow music and an amazing variety of craft beers on tap, many of them from local breweries. Our waitress did an outstanding job of describing the various offerings, and the service was perfect-she came to check on us periodically, but was never 'pesty'. We'll definitely return, likely for a full meal next time. read more
