    Blueberry Lemondrop Martini
    Erin C.

I have only ever been here for drinks and they are always really good! I especially like the blueberry lemondrop martini and always make sure to end the night here grabbing one of those. I like that this place is open later than everything else and the back patio is actually pretty cute and a nice place to have a conversation, one downside is that everything out there is pretty sticky.

As far as preambles go, ordering take-out initially from this place was like opening night of No Way Home. Instantly, we all got that vibe telling us, "Relax, we know what you like. We got this". And boy howdy-do they! For take out, we got: * Burgers: these are, by FAR, the best burgers I have tasted in the entire state of NH so far. If you can find a better burger within a 75 mile radius, point me in that direction please. In the meantime, let's just say these burgers are the epitome of perfectly seasoned and charbroiled to perfection! 10 out of 10, would recommend. * Fish n' chips: beer battered and crispy, these fish flake with ease. You also have the option of switching out sides, if you wish. I went with the truffle tater tots and....my Gawd!! These things exude an essence truffley (is that a word? oh well, whatever, I'm takin' it.) goodness! My one complaint for this dish is the lack of tartar sauce. As in...they give you one. 1. Uno. Un. Yksi. You get the picture. Point is, us New Englanders love tons of tartar sauce with our crispy beer battered fish. A bit more of this and it's tasty livin'. 8 out of 10, give it a go! * Steak tips: Alright, I'll be brief. These things were a let down, under seasoned and a little overcooked. 5 out of 10, would rather eat a burger. And then...we dined in for the first time ever. It was my wife's bestie's birthday (no, they did not sing to her). And what we got was *mostly* phenomenal: * Clam chowder: Not a great start to the evening, if we're being honest. Aside from having lack of seasoning issues, the biggest transgression was the watery-like consistency of the chowder itself. Which is a shame, considering it had plenty of substance (potatoes, clams, veggies, etc). After maybe 5 or 6 spoonfuls, I couldn't finish anymore. And it's extremely rare I do that in a restaurant. 2 out of 10, they sell better stuff at Market Basket. * Dry Aged Ribeye: Holy shit! This thing caught me off guard. I mean, I assumed it would be like all the rest, but no. Get this. They actually SEASONED their steak!! I know, right? Finally, after visiting probably 10 other places in the area with steak, this ends up being the one to get it right! It came with a garlic au jus, which....hardly tasted of any garlic to speak of. But since the steak was actually seasoned and cooked to temp perfectly, it didn't detract from the flavor much. The chived mashed potatoes were an elegant touch as well. I loved these things almost as much as my own. The whole thing was quite the delectation, flaws and all. 8 out of 10, we finally got one, you guys! ^_^ I didn't try the Mahi Mahi, but the presentation was (as they say in HK) spot-on! 10 out of 10 for presentation. The artichoke dip was also okay, but lacked seasoning. 6 out of 10. Oh, and despite the misleading moniker, the Cottage Pie does, in fact, have meat inside. Something that particularly impressed us was the wireless POS devices used to check out. This means the customer never has to helplessly watch as the server runs out of view of the patron to go do...whatever with their ATM card. Never understood this American concept, but...I suppose this is why 2FA is a thing. /endrant What I really love about this place is the atmosphere. Between the humble waitstaff, the cozy furniture, and the truffle infused aroma which wafts through the room like Casper the friendly ghost, I could very well see myself catching a case of The Itis up in here. So, that's it. We have finally come full circle from ordering take-out to finally getting a chance to dine in. All things considered, I am giving Fody's (not "foddy's") 4 truffle-tastic plates of tater tots out of 5.

I've been gracing Fody's with my presence for the past 5 years on and off. I normally go for a late night drink and karaoke! Every time I have been I have had great service and yummy strong drinks. My go to favorite is the Fody's Punch. I'm a fruity liquor type chic and this legit hits the nail on the head. It is very fruity and strong. Have one and you will want another but it will definitely lay in a punch because it is strong. I've only eaten there once or twice and it was just for quick appetizers. The food was mediocre but good for bar food. I would rave high and low about the drinks but the food is nothing to write home about. They have amazing karaoke nights with lots of participation from well sung customers. If your looking for good drinks and some karaoke this is definitely the place to be in Nashua

If you like dining in old buildings, then Fody's is the right place! Fody's opened in 2004 inside the historic Greeley Building (circa early 1800s) at Railroad Square. The classic tavern atmosphere inside is very unique with dim lighting. The place has old creaking wood floors, mahogany wood walls, and historic pictures in one open room with bar area (with tvs), table seating, and a section of comfortable green armchair seating with end tables. There's live entertainment on some nights in the tavern. The menu offers creative American pub fare with a changing menu. See the current menu and special events (discounts) such as half price drinks (Mon-Fri until 6:30PM) for Fidelity & BAE and 2 for 1 Tuesdays at http://www.fodystavern.com We arrived here around 7:45PM on a Thursday night. The place was very loud with a private party (with buffet) of 30 and 40 somethings just wrapping up. There were also other diners seated at the regular tables, mostly an older crowd. We were seated at an endtable with comfortable armchairs in the other section and the place toned down quickly. Sweet! We ordered our drinks and then the dinners. The complementary rolls (with baked cheese topping) were served hot. The BBQ Ribs ($18) served with corn muffin, cole slaw, & mashed potatoes were on the chewy and tender side with a a tangy taste. The mashed potatoes was creamy with small potato chunks and the cole slaw & corn muffin were all good. The Blackened Salmon ($18) served over orzo salad with greens & topped with cucumber dill sauce was very good. The salmon was firm on the outside and tender inside. The orzo salad was very tangy and had bits of feta cheese & olives. Overall, the meal was pretty good in an old style tavern atmosphere. The armchairs were very comfortable and the service was good. We used an Entertainment coupon for some savings and got $15 off the check. Not a bad way to begin a Thursday night!

Friendly, helpful staff. -- State Machine: Crisp, potent, and slightly citrusy, it's an IPA worthy of acclaim. -- Multi-Agent Citra: All kinds of Citra hops here, but light in color and flavor even at over 7% abv. Good palate cleanser. -- Buffalo Wings: Slightly crisp, slightly moist, and lightly covered with a mild and tangy take on Buffalo. Good blue cheese to add a little more body. Not particularly spicy, but very doable. -- Kale Caesar Salad: It looks a little like airline food with the tiny low end croutons, but this was a top notch salad with fresh tasting vegetation and a zesty, creamy dressing, elevated by generous sprinklings of Parmesan. Tasty stuff and a surprisingly good foil for beer. -- Vegan Chorizo Tacos: You get three to an order, so I was sure I'd wind up tasting one for assessment when my wife got full after two. But she finished the tray, so they must have done something right. Served with lime, and a couple of basic (red and green) hot sauce additions at the silverware station. Good beer, good enough food, and exceptionally good atmosphere and staff make this a relaxing hang and a perfect oasis for husbands who don't want to endure nearby Costco.

Definitely a surprise to the regular clientele. Look for the roadside sign into their large parking lot. The building is set way back. Signs every where instruct patrons. A large over head sign lets you know to "order here." No waitress service. Belly up to the bar and place food and drink orders with the bartender. A sign at the bar instructs "order, pay, move outta the way!" I just love this. Signs on the tables instruct "Do not drag tables". however, you can pick them up and move them. Just don't drag them. For our crowd, we did have to move a couple tables and chairs. There is a jukebox on one wall and I must say the clientele have excellent musical taste. This is absolutely my kind of bar. We had some fun conversations with locals. The bartender was friendly and efficient. All together an enjoyable visit. Besides soft drinks, bottled beers and a full bar, the food menu is pretty extensive. Apps, sandwiches, salad, entrees. With live music, pool table and darts this is a good neighborhood bar.

Walking in 7 minutes after opening, this place was already packed. Full of Patriots fans hooping and hollering to the end of the fourth quarter. Every appeared in a merry mood, and everyone knew each other it seems. Service here was great. Our waitress whipped around the room with finesse and speed, working the bar and tables all by herself. She was to the point but pleasant. The beers are ok, but they aren't anything spectacular. An average selection of nearby beers of all varieties. Going to other breweries in New Hampshire, I know that this state can produce good beers. Perhaps they just had a mediocre selection the week I was there. We ordered a medley of items and most of it was hit and miss. In the sampler, the pork cracklings were decent, although dinner pieces were hard to chew since they turned into a dense fried bit. The fries were ok, but standard. The tator tot was actual pretty good, but there's this sweetness and texture that makes me think of pumpkin? That could be upsetting to some. The chicken tenders are ok, but the breading isn't seasoned or exciting in texture. It felt like how I would fry chicken at home with only one coat of breading. The pickle chips were good, even though they were not spicy at all. If they called these paprika coated chips, then I would agree. But texture wise, they were actually crisp and not super watery. The pulled pork tacos are ok, but they rely more on sweet barbeque sauce more than anything else. The tortillas are subpar in flavor, but sturdy enough to hold everything together. The veggies slaw did add some nice acidity though. The wedge salad here is terrible. I should have looked up what others posted before I ordered it. It was a literal wedge of plain iceberg, with all the other ingredients and fixings dumped in the middle. The stuff in the middle was ok, but nothing felt harmonious. Just a bunch of salad ingredients added to a giant paper tray. It felt like a waste of 9 dollars for what was lazy preparation.

You insouciantly scroll through your Yelp feed, not particularly sure what you have an appetite for because making decisions is about as difficult as adulting. This, ladies and gentlemen, is my wife to a T. Although, she highlighted this place to me and I was instantly hooked - so, I can't complain too much. Now, it isn't clear to us how long this place has been in our midst. But judging from the lack of photos, I'm willing to bet that it's either not yet well known enough or it's a fairly new place. In any case, O'Brien's Sports Bar deserves far more recognition than it's getting at the time of me reviewing this. I've been to plenty of Irish pubs. Some good, some rather meh. I've only tried one meal so far. But based on that, plus the copious menu selection, I can already tell you O'Brien's is possibly the best Irish pub I've tried food from in a long while. I was quite disappointed when they permanently closed down Waxy O'Connor's in Lexington. But I believe O'Brien's will be a more than suitable replacement to satisfy my yearning for Irish cuisine. So, as the intro infers, we ordered take-away via DoorDash, of all things. Which implores me to bring up this caveat: there's a vast difference between ordering from DoorDash versus what's actually available on the O'Brien's menu via their website. Basically, DoorDash represents a severely gutted version of their menu, in my opinion. Certain items, you just can't order from DoorDash...for SOME reason. A few examples include: the seafood chowder, chicken marsala, and pretty much any burger that's more complex than your traditional cheese burger. Not really a ding against the restaurant itself. I'm just ranting here to state that I really hate DoorDash sometimes. They're as overpriced as they are underequipped. /endrant Anywho, I kept things simple this evening and tried the fish n' chips. Upfront, I gotta tell ya....they give you a shitload of fish! Like...at least 10 to 12 ounces (or 6 huge nuggets), if I had to guess. And whilst the fish itself was delicious and meaty, the batter could have benefited from some type of seasoning. Let's just say...this is the type of fish that requires tartar sauce. Oh, speaking of which.. I didn't get any tartar sauce with my order. No idea why. But it's a good thing we always keep some at the house (and it's the fancy kind, too). Now, their chips are like nothing I've ever seen. The best way I could describe them is....well seasoned boomerang fries. Hey, I don't care WHAT shape they are, so long as they're tasty as hell! Overall, the dish gets an 8 out of 10, despite them forgetting the tartar sauce. We've already decided we'll dine in at this place apropos for a date night. I mean, based on our DoorDash experience, it seems clear to us this will be the only way to experience their complete menu. And I've already got my eyes on the aforementioned chowder, chicken marsala, and/or one of their delicious looking burgers. And then maybe, just MAYBE...we can get some more photos onto their page already. I have a feeling this rating may get adjusted upon revisit. But for now, I'm giving O'Brien's Sports Bar 4 gigantic fish nuggets with tasty boomerang fries out of 5.
