This place has been around a long time and one of the few that still cooks with a gas oven. The decor is old and it's like most places that can be called a hole in the wall. Those are usually the ones that have good food. For those who gave it a bad review probably likes frozen pizzas. It's a regional pizza that you either like it or you don't. Most places have different versions of pizza and people have different taste so people should not compare it to dog food unless they have eaten dog food. A can of tuna looks like cat food but it's still good. This place has history and a following of people that has been coming to this place since the 80's. A lot of these have closed down because they went into areas that people like other pizza's and didn't get the followings. The pizza is different and I like it, is it the best pizza that I've eaten, no but there are others that I don't care for and that is my opinion. When we go to Jungle Jim's we always stop here. So if you like thin crust with finely chopped items and a sauce that is not doctored up then you will like this pizza. Eat it with Grippo's and a cold beer from a walk in cooler. read more

Saturday December 13th 2025 I ordered a big mom's with sausage mushroom onion extra sausage. We ordered it 2 weeks ago and it was around $27 give or take and when we ordered our pizza December 13th it was $10 more. The guy that took our order on the phone said corporate raised their prices. This is an odd place in a strip mall. My son and I came here after working on my plane. I really wanted a meatball sub and they had one. So my first time here just because. The have pizza and subs, I seen that they do a thin crust pizza that looked good. I ordered a meatball sub that was fairly good, my son got an original sub. I enjoyed my sub very much and my son said his was very good. I will be back to try one of the Cassini or Calzone. The staff was very friendly and I would say it was a worth while lunch. Not sure what has happened here the last couple years, but we've been lifelong Cassano's lovers in our family. But the last few times we've gone we either sit in the restaurant waiting over an hour for food or we order pick up just to arrive and there's a line out the door of people that have been waiting, almost an hour to pick up their food. Last time I finally got up to the register and the woman in front of me had gotten in line for the second time to see whether her order was ready and was that her order was going to be "at least another 30 minutes." She asked if she could just have a refund because she'd already been waiting 40 minutes and the girl told her they couldn't do any refunds. So she had no choice but to sit there and wait because she had already paid. What? How is that possible? You can't offer a refund for a product you didn't provide? Kudos to the lady that was able to walk away without losing her shit! We haven't been there in months because of the poor service and you better check your order because it's always wrong! Not sure if there's new management or what has happened, but it needs fixed desperately or they'll be shutting more doors! read more

The pizza was dry and had so little toppings. It look like a manager was trying to stretch the toppings he had in store. After driving from Hamilton I called the store. They told me I could return the Pizza and they would make me a new one while i waited. This store doesn't have this policy because customers use it against them. They handed the pizza box to me with a big smile, exclaiming "enjoy" because obviously they can see the future and knew we would! I was very impressed with the staff as a large group of several families walked in at once, with many little kids, and the wait staff welcomed them as if they were family. Great pizza for what it is! It's good cheap pizza in a fairly divey restaurant. The crust is ultra thin, and cut into bitesize pieces. I've never had pizza cut so small and I'm such a fan! When else do you get to eat like 30 slices of pizza? We ordered a sausage and banana pepper pizza and the sausage was very crumbley and covered most of the pizza. They definitely don't skimp on the toppings! The place was packed when we were there so the pizza was pretty slow, but that was apparently unusual. The pizza would taste better if they would scrape and dust the inside of their oven. I worked for Cassano's for two years, so I have a bit of insight into how the operations are supposed to be run. This location seemed an odd location and seemed to be run by a family. As you can see by the photos I added, it looks a bit like a 1970s bar. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it could use an update. As I walked to the counter, a woman asked me if I had already placed an order, and I replied that I had not. Apparently, I look like a pick-up kind of person, as I've heard this elsewhere. When I asked if they had the Cassano's lunch specials, I got a quick "No!", as if I was evil. The tone of voice was that of a person who didn't want a repeat customer. I ordered a 9 inch Deluxe and a fountain mountain dew. It came to $11.74, which is about $2.00 more than any other Cassano's locations charge me, including the franchise in Eaton, OH. Wow! She poured the drink into a large plastic "glass", which was probably 24 ounces but contained a lot of ice. I didn't ask about refills after her reply to my lunch specials question. After about 10-15 minutes, she brought the pizza to me with a small paper plate. The pizza looked a bit odd. I wasn't sure why but I think it had less cheese and the sausage was broken into smaller pieces and covered more area. It seemed as they substituted ingredients from a supplier other than Cassano's. What tasted off was that the pizza had no salt (Cassano's way instead of using flour) on the bottom and instead, had black areas where burnt product had not been cleaned and removed from the oven. I love Cassano's pizza but this wasn't up there. The woman who initially took my order seemed more friendly when I was on my way out the door. Maybe, she was upset that they were working on Good Friday. I really couldn't say. read more

I had ordered an Italian sub. I wasn't impressed with this sub. It was my first time having this sandwich. It was more bread than meat and toppings. Better Italian subs at Donato's and Penn Stations. The service was terrible. I've ordered in the restaurant and waited. After about 30 minutes I asked if my order was ready. It was and was sitting under the heat lamps.
