Was told 40 min for delivery, arrived in 25minutes. But OMG!! Both pizzas were exactly as I specified in my order. Hot upon delivery. Exactly as I requested. I think I'm going to end up at every Cassano's location eventually. This one isn't far from I-70 and wasn't difficult to find. There are plenty of restaurants along the way, but nothing (for me) beats Cassano's for making me smile. I wondered where they hid the restaurant, but it's just in a strip mall with a sign facing north and south near the road. There were only five or six tables, so you couldn't really have a party, though they have extra chairs stacked in the corner. I ordered a 9 inch Deluxe and diet soda. I didn't see the soda dispense and learnt later that they didn't have one. That was a bit odd, as well as expensive for customers. This would be the first I've seen like that, but things have changed a lot since I worked for the company. There were 83 stores in those days. They seemed constantly busy, but of course, Saturday night should be like that. They had many, many carry-out customers and delivery drivers in and out consistently. It's good to see a successful business that can survive on reasonable prices. The pizza was brought to me about 15 minutes after I paid, as I was promised. Thankfully, they have the newer conveyor type ovens, so you can't really make a mistake or have old, burnt pizza dusted on the bottom of a fresh pizza. Ok...here's the lowdown: Cassano's is DAYTON pizza. If you want the thick crust, triangle sliced grease magnets like Dominos and their clones, you probably won't be overly excited about Cassano's, although they do offer the "Big Cheese" which is triangle sliced...but if you want the REAL Cassano's you need the salty cracker crust style...if you grew up in Dayton anywhere between the 60s thru the 90s, then you know this is OUR pizza! I remember back in the 90s they had the "medium pepperoni for $5" special so any time I made the trek home, I would get 3 or 4 of them with the intention of freezing a couple when I got home for a special treat later in the year...they never made it that far lol...just good hometown pizza that you either love or or don't...but it will always reign as my favorite. I'm a huge fan if Cassanos. I think they, along with Marion's, by far make Dayton's best pizzas. This location is a bit old. That is reflected in the indoor dining area. Don't let that deter you. The food is incredible. Cassanos traditional crust is thin and lightly salted on the bottom. I love their Deluxe. They typically have great lunch specials and put coupons out in the weekly Sunday paper. When you get tired of crappy nationwide chains- go local and get better pizza at Cassanos. read more

I had a disappointing experience with this Cassano's. I placed an online order for five hand tossed large pizzas for immediate pickup for a party full of hungry kids. Within five minutes of my order, the manager called to let me know the dough was frozen and it needed to thaw, so my order was going to take longer than expected. That was fine, I appreciated the call. I asked how long and was told half an hour. I rolled into the shop a little over half an hour later to discover they hadn't even begun my pizzas because the dough was just now thawed enough to handle. I had paid online to expedite pickup so I asked for a refund because I was frustrated and didn't have the time to wait as the party would be ending soon and I needed pizza now. The manager told me 3-5 days to get my money back. We will see if that happens. I took my business to the pizza place down the street with its $5 hot and ready pizzas, and they saved the day. I'm sure my experience is an outlier, but I don't understand how a pizza place wouldn't have the dough already thawed during lunchtime. read more

Let's start off with saying, yes this is during COVID-19 and restaurants are super busy with carry out and delivery. I get that, I really do. But if you are really busy, then give realistic expectations of long pizza will take. I ordered for pickup and was told 35 minutes. Awesome. Not long at all. Drove up there and arrived 5 minutes early. Well then waited at the counter for 5 minutes for someone to come talk to us. Give her my name and she says "looks like it's almost done. Should be about 15 minutes." First of all, I've worked in a place that served pizza. It doesn't even take 15 minutes to go all the way through the conveyer they use. It's 8 minutes, which means they hadn't even started ours yet. But I wanted pizza, so I said ok and went and sat down. 15 minutes later still no pizza. People who arrived after me are now coming and going. The woman who originally spoke to me said, "what's your last name again?" And went in the back to check on my pizza. In the time I waited after this, a guy left and came back with an incorrect order!! Another 15 minutes and she asks for my last name again. And finally my pizzas come out. You know what that means?! They just continued to forget to make my pizza the entire time! Now when the pizza was brought out, I didn't get a single "Sorry" whatsoever. Just "here's your pizza." Worst service ever. Oh and I forgot to mention the worker who was wearing gloves and then shoved trash down further in the trash can AND CONTINUED TO USE THE GLOVES! Then all of them were removing their masks the entire time. Just awful experience. I was going to give two stars because the pizza was good, but after writing out my experience, I just can't justify it. read more

I Used to be a fan of Cassano's pizza and gave it one more try. Unfortunately the quality of years passed has passed. The extra cheese was not there on an ordered pizza. The crust was not crispy, it was cold and appeared to have been sitting in a car for awhile. One word...NASTY! As all know their pricing is not very good either and for what I have received the last couple times.. The pizza is good. Delivery usually takes awhile but my 2 main disappointments are... 1. They don't offer garlic butter. 2. When we order fresh mushrooms, sometimes we get them and sometimes we don't. Those 2 disappointments are enough for me to order elsewhere many times even though I like the pizza. read more

Cassano's maybe back on the list of my favorite pizzas/subs. We ordered a Bacon pizza with thin crust also a cheese and pepperoni pizza, and it tasted like cassanos we used to order back in the day. It was delicious, also my wife like a cheese steak with mushroom gravy and she love it. The delivery was quick and again everything tasted great. Good job!!!!!! Just moved to this area from Chicago and decided to order in tonight. The food was great despite the fact that they included items I had asked them to exclude (I just picked it off). However, I was unable to tip the driver for the delivery because they do not have a place for it on the receipt. The driver was friendly about it as I apologized for not having cash, but as someone who has worked in the service industry (and never carries cash), I won't be ordering from them again until I am able to tip their workers properly. The fact that this is an issue worries me because it shows a lack of concern from management for their employees. Please fix this Cassano's, because your food was great and prompt and I'd love to order from you again! read more
