´Tis a grand day. Chicago is on our mind today, and Godfather's Pizza reminds us of our many Chicago experiences. We like to holiday for a week at a time in Chicago; in addition to several favorite Chicago Steak houses and ethnic restaurants, we always make time for a Chicago Pizza. These Chicago pizza houses may require 45 minutes to deliver the pizza to the table. Godfather's Pizza requires a phone call, and the pizza is ready in 15 minutes for take-away. This weekend, several other Greater Dayton Metropolitan Pizza houses are promoting their coupons; Godfather's Pizza in Centerville has never offered coupons. Nevertheless, Godfather's Pizza is very busy with dine-in and take-away. Godfather's Pizza is in desperate need of web page development as well as correct search links. Often, it takes a few too many mouse clicks to locate the menu. We like the Super Combo, regular crust. Somehow, the employees at Godfather's Pizza have not yet mastered the built it yourself concept. Godfather's Pizza creates our kind of pizza. We look forward to return visits. terrible. i asked for bacon pizza and they put actual full slices of bacon on it. extremely salty and greasy. the waiters and staff were great. the restaurant itself was very greatly decorated and the only downfall was that pizza, after i went home i got extremely food poisoning... nausea diarrhea and so did my daughter and husband. never again will i go here read more

Good pizza, fast service and a humble service. My uncle loves this pizza and he asked us to eat there when we went to visit the air museum in Dayton. The pizza was great, they had a wide range and best part is that it is filling. Two large pizzzas filled about 8 of us. Granted we were a mixed set of adults. Will try it out again on our next visit. read more

This is the first time we have been here and was disappointed in the food. We ordered the classic combo as always and waited the regular amount of time. When the pizza arrived it was warm not hot which was another first. The crust wasn't as good and the sauce was non existent. The taste was not the way we always like it. If they have changed product to save money I won't be back. read more

We have no Godfathers in Utah anymore so we were so excited to find one when we visited Ohio. We love the taco pizza & these guys didn't disappoint. It was great & had tons of cheese & taco sauce. We also had great service & the restaurant was very clean. We really enjoyed our lunch. read more

Order usually from the Wilmington Pk location. However, was closer to this location . I have been a customer of GDs for most of my life. This is the first time that I have been completely dissatisfied with my order. Myself and family all are Ill since eating this pizza. Which was only a few pieces of the large pizza that I ordered for $32+ . It was loaded with diced onions. The bacon that was over cooked to the point of almost being burnt. I am typing this at almost 3:00 am as I have been Ill since eating a slice at 5:00 pm. I will NEVER order from this location again. It is very pricey and I have justified it in the past for special occasions. However, for everyone that's Ill now .... I won't make the mistake twice. Money is too hard to come by especially nowadays. Then to be Iill? Done with Godfathers Huber Heights and it will be a long while before we try the other location. This God Father's is in a strip mall in Dayton. It doesn't look like much on the outside. The inside was nice and spacious. We sat in a booth that comfortably seated 4 adult and a child. We had a really large pizza with everything. I'm guessing my brother ordered extra cheese. It easily fed the 5 of us. We also got the monkey bread . It also easily feed all of us Both items came out hot and each in a fairly timely manner. I didn't catch our server's name but she did a good job keeping our soda glasses full. Not sure why service didn't turn green yet. There it is. The restroom was clean as was the dining area. I may stop in again before I head back to San Diego. read more

Great pizza, absolutely horrible service. My advice is go to a different location!! We live an hour away from this location but have always enjoyed eating here because we love the food. That was until today. We ordered our food at 4:37 pm for a dine in meal, at 5:30 the waitress asked if everything was okay and we asked her to bring us the dessert pizza that we had ordered and she said she would, by 6:00 pm we had to leave so we checked to see how much longer we would have to wait for the dessert pizza and found that they had not even started on it yet so we asked for a refund for the amount that we were charged for the dessert pizza. The manager on duty said that he was unable to issue a refund, when asked to speak to the general manager via phone he also refused to issue a refund for the food that they failed to make after an hour and a half. That's the last time we will drive an hour to eat at this location. read more

Ok so I thought I outgrew Godfathers Pizza back in the early 80's when they closed the local parlor because the small town I grew up in couldn't support 8 pizza parlors not to count the dozen bars that were making pizza too. Here it is in 2021 no flying cars or molecular transportation devices but low and behold a godfathers pizza and friends stuck in the 80's wanting to eat some more of the same old same old. Same tomato paste sauce, thick crust as I remember from my childhood. I'm giving this particular restaurant a 5 star because of the staff not the pie (you make your own decisions about the pie, this review is for the staff). Everyone working when I arrived to pick up acknowledged me. Friendly hello's, hi's and can I help you? Smiling eyes wearing masks. Their restaurant was clean and inviting and the pie (no matter how I feel about it) was piping hot. read more

The pizza is top notch a little pricey but always cooked right and delicious . I just wish they had one closer to where I live.

It's been our favorite for several years until yesterday. We ordered the jumbo deluxe and ended up with a super dry pizza, overbaked with hardly any toppings. It tasted like a duplicate Papa John's which we hate. Don't know what happened, but we won't be ordering again and we'll miss it. read more

I phoned in my order for pick up. When i got there it was ready and still hot. The gal that waited on me very pleasant and respectful. This place is a throwback to my youth living in Illinois. Ok enough place, but with the bland salad bar (not worth the $6.49 charge by a long-shot) and the lackluster pizza (not even SLICES could bring it past mediocre!!) it'll be an offer I certainly CAN refuse in the future... It WAS clean, quick (how exactly DID they get our veggie pizza from ordered at the counter to our table in less than 10min??) and convenient (esp. on Mother's Day, when most other places would have had us waiting FOREVER...) but in a sea of so-so pizza options, while Godfather's doesn't exactly "swim with the fishes," it wouldn't really be my "go-to" any time soon either!! read more

Consistently delicious pizza. I was so excited several years ago when this childhood delight cane back to town. It has never disappointed. We travel about a half hour to have this pizza in our rotation and it has consistently been ready as promised. The manager has been so kind to our family through the years with kind words and gestures when even the slightest factor is off in his opinion. Good stuff! read more

The pizza was served to us cold. It is not the GodFathers Pizza that I remember as a kid. This is a huge disappointment.

If you like thin crispy washrag pizza (looking at you NYC) or proper deep dish Chicago pizza (Malnotti's 5 stars 4life!!!) This might be a disappointment. This is what I think would best he described as a mix of regular and pan pizza. (And no, pan and deep dish are not the same thing... I'm from Ohio, we have more pizza places per capita than I think anyone else, Google it!). And Godfather's is the pizza I grew up on. As did many in this area. They were big around here through the late 80s then went away, but are coming back. You should have seen the lines when they first re-opened. My only real problem with the place is the hours. 4-10pm only m-sat, and 12-10 on Sundays? Often we want to go on Saturdays while running around town, can't! Lunch during the week? Can't! Which of you ask me if just silly. read more

The biggest unexpected surprise we have experienced at a restaurant. Awesome food and superb service. Everyone was very nice and friendly and especially helpful with menu options. I had not been to the dining area since before Covid. It is so nice that they have it back open! The pizza and monkey bread was delicious and just as good as I remember. I'm only giving three stars for the taco pizza, ordered a humble pie and it was the lamest 30$ pizza ever. Seriously for 30$ I would expect hand cut toppings and some amazing crust. Rude management and barely edible pizza, definitely not fresh. Manager called me ignorant after not allowing my 7 year old with stomach issues to use the restroom. When I told him that she was about to wet herself he said I was ignorant. Our first visit here for a late Fathers Day get together. From the get-go the counter staff was very friendly and accommodating. We presented coupons but the manager Issac told us they couldn't honor it. Instead he offered us free cheese sticks which were worth more than the coupon!! Each crew member that refilled our drinks or checked on our party was incredibly polite and extremely mannered. They took customer satisfaction very seriously. The food was fast hot and very, very delicious!! I just had to stop and tell Isaac on the way out that he had the most polite and professional crew I have ever seen in a pizza establishment. Near perfect! 1pm on a Saturday. Not busy at all. Very clean and comfortable . Closest you can get to traditional pizzeria decor from a chain. Flashback with the 80s pop Muzak. Employees were clean, polite, attentive and professional and presentable. Overall cost is a bit pricey but acceptable considering the the overhead must be more than a delivery chain. Breadsticks bid and flavorful with spicy and hot dipping cheese and marinara. Bathrooms were clean, TVs with the football game on but no obnoxious noise. Pizza was as promised, served in about 20 minutes, hot, and yummy. Not overdone with cheese or sauce. Perfect balance and not greasy at all. Original crust resembles a doughy cracker (i like it). Started with 4 stars because of price but in consideration of perfection everywhere else they're earning my rare 5 stars. read more

Haven't eaten Godfather's Pizza in years, and boy do I miss it. Recently found one near where my Dad lives, and it was everything I remember. Great sauce, tons of toppings, and if you can eat more than 2 or 3 slices you've accomplished something. Gonna be on my list of things to hit every time I go to OH to see my Dad. read more

Took my wife there to celebrate her birthday. They were very energetic and attentive. First refill on the pitcher of Dr. Pepper was flat and they quickly replaced it. Never once did we have to ask for refill.s. The manager came by twice to check on us. He even brought clean plates, forks and knives when we were ready for the birthday cake. We went here because of Chunk in The Goonies. There, I said it . The pizza was deep dish style and we got one with lots of meat. The bacon wasn't the crumble sort, but the way bacon normally looks, so that was a pleasant surprise. The staff was fantastic, coming by to get us drink refills and to take away our tray. They worked hard to keep our area clean by taking care of our trash. This is one of the places where you order your food at the counter instead of waiter service, but they make up for it the great service. We enjoyed the pizza and will likely return. :P read more

My wife really liked it, but I didn't care for it at all. To me, the crust was tasteless and the sauce was very bland. We had no problem with the service. They were friendly and did a nice job. I purchased a large pizza from godfather's, that was the worst pizza I have ever had. I thought Papa John's was bad! Godfather's was right up there being bad. And on top of being bad, it was the most expensive pizza I have ever bought. I threw three-fourths of this $30 pizza away. read more
