Larry did such a great job with my carport and back patio. The beams and fabric are as good as I could hope for. Super easy to work with. He drew up the specs one day, and came back when everything was ready and had it all together in a couple of days perfect. The neighbors are jealous already. Gave Larry with Glendale Welding a 1 star rating because --Larry came out very quickly to give us a quote on two gates, he was very professional and sketched out what they would look like. He seemed like he knew what he was doing. We got a bunch of other quotes on the gates we were needing . We were going to go with another company that had great reviews as well, however Larry contacted us promptly and was very persistent on getting our business and made promises to lower his original prices and promised the gates would be installed in 4-6 weeks. Mind you his lowered price was still "much higher" than any of the other 6 gate quotes. He made us feel at ease about his high quote. Gates were supposed to be installed at the end of January. We have called and texted numerous times to at least see a picture of our gates and he is full of excuses as to where our gates are. We paid him half the total last year when we hired him. He refuses to respond back to us as to where the gates are and when they will be installed. At this point we just want our money back and be done with Larry and his company. This is such a surprise as we read his other 5 star reviews. Not sure what is going on? ~UPDATE~ We have changed our star rating from1 to a 3 because we finally got our gates installed 2 months behind his promised install date. They look amazing and the quality is excellent! Just very disappointed in his lack of communication thru out the process and his refusal to take responsibility for his part in being so tardy in finishing our project. read more

Larry is an energetice character! Very personable, and friendly. Gates can take a loooong time to create, but who wants cookie cutter? I LOVE my gates, even if they took a few months to get. Larry put up with my picky requests with a smile on his face and told me that he would want things perfect too. Just a very nice transaction all around. The gates are oil rubbed bronze and perfect against the backdrop of the mountain views! The fabricated wood will last for a long time, and the metal gates are strong and sturdy, and beautiful. Getting an estimate during the pandemic proved challenging, after 4 failed attempts I called Larry and he scheduled, arrived promptly, sketched the job and walked us through the process. Composite wood gates are a challenge because the slat product is in high demand with little surplus. He quickly went to work, and was able to secure enough product for our project. I selected Glendale Welding to replace a section of wrought iron fencing because they were the best prepared. Larry came out to view the work area and created a sketch detailing the H x L, the spacing of the rails and the attachment points to the wall and existing wrought iron post. The section of fencing was not a standard. I had other vendors that came out and they talked about what they would do. Having a sketch vs a verbal description totally eliminated any misunderstanding about the work and product to be produced.
