We called on a Wednesday for an estimate to trim 2 trees and remove one that had split after heavy winds. Juan came out later that same day. While his quote was not the lowest, it certainly was in the ballpark. They are thorough and also proactive, noticing the occasional bush that needs special intervention, fertilizing and spot seeding when necessary and especially trimming carefully so as not to create a "trough" between the edge of the grass and sidewalk. They came out right away for a quote. The quote was competitive, but I went with them because they we very knowledgeable and they were licensed and insured. They Showed up for the job at the date and time promised. We had a very complex job with two very overgrown trees on a property we just acquired. Both trees were also invading multiple neighbor properties. These guys had to be very careful not just of our property, Internet lines, and utility lines but also of our neighbors properties. They did an amazing job. They coordinated with all of the neighbors ahead of time. They cleaned up everyone's yards beautifully. They wood chipped and hauled away all of the trash. I cannot recommend him highly enough. You really don't want to cut corners when it comes to cutting trees. This is a totally professional outfit. This tree service was great! Juan is a professional person that takes your concerns into consideration and offers the best solutions for your gardening needs. His prices are fair and competitive and his workers and trucks show up on time and do a professional job. His guys did a great job pruning a large tree in our backyard and two smaller trees in the front yard and cleaned up afterwards. I even noticed that he put up a board against a window to protect it from the falling limbs. No other past trimmer I had did that. They do good work and their prices are great. However, getting an estimate scheduled and getting them to actually show up on time is not. I had a tree removed a few months ago and it took multiple calls to get the estimate, the work scheduled, etc. Day of, I had to take off work to be home, but I had to call them a few times to find out when they were coming. Called them again this week for more tree work, was told they would show up the next evening for an estimate. No call. No show. I don't have the time to check-up on them and get them to do the work I'm paying for. They have lost my business and I'm booking my work with a company that's more professional and respectful of their clients' time. read more

The crew took special measures to protect the very vulnerable flower beds planted just a few days before under one of my leafy giants and even made sure to work around the nest some wild critters live out of in my generous fruit tree. Castillo Tree Service just trimmed two huge Sycamore trees in my front yard, and pruned two apple trees in my back yard. All these trees had been neglected for years and were in terrible (and, the Sycamores, dangerous) shape. Castillo did a terrific job! They came exactly on time as promised, worked throughout the day non-stop, kept the street cordened off and safe from the huge falling limbs, and did a terrific full clean-up.
