I'm not sure…read morehow large of a park it is, as our family had reserved one of the first pavilions in the park, but there was a store near the front of the park so I imagine it's a pretty large one. Sam. A Baker seems to be a popular place. There were quite a few people camping in tents and RVs there a couple of weekends ago. I'm not the camping type and I only stayed during the day, so I can't say anything for the camping amenities. -1 star for the facilities. They had no running water inside. There was a place outside of the restrooms for washing one's hands and feet. However, there was no soap and no hot water. I feel that was rather unsanitary. I waded out in a river for the first time in my life. That was fun! I'd like to go again sometime.

We enjoy bringing our chairs and sitting in the water while the kids search for crawfish. They also have a pool to cool off in. We grab delicious coffees from their on-site specialty shop and you can get regular coffee or decadent dessert-like coffees. The park is quiet in the late evening hours and is truly a great place to take your family!

I did not get any sort of confirmation email, only a text message photo of a receipt for the $103.50 deposit. A fellow camper in my group called me a week ago and said our reservation had been changed because the campground had double booked us. I called and left a message saying I'd like to understand and get this straightened out. When they called back the guy yelled at me and told me they still have us but in a different spot. When I asked about moving our deposit to the next year's ride or possibly refunding our deposit he refused to work with me. Throughout the call he was rude and unprofessional. Rather than focusing on my reservation and working towards a solution he kept talking about another camper's reservation changes. Needless to say after this negative experience I will not be camping at this place.

There are two major highlights in this park IMO, the highest point of Missouri and Mina Sauk Falls…read more At only 1772 feet above sea-level and within a few hundred yards from the car park, the so-called highest point is somewhat disappointing, but still worth in a Missourian's "be-there-done-that" list. The Mina Sauk Falls can be reached via a 3-mile loop hike, combining the Mina Sauk Falls trail and a short segment of Ozark Trail. The falls are spetacular after a good rain, but shrink to little trickle of water in dry days. However, keep in mind that after a heavy rain or frequent rains, the trail condition can be nasty. Part of the trail essentially turned to creek bed in my last visit a couple of days ago, after a series of rainstorms in the area. Mud and wet rocks can be very slippery so look at your steps carefully.

Unfortunately my husband and I purchased a horse from Joyce at Rolling Hills Farm. We have never…read moreowned a horse before, therefore we really did not know much about buying a horse. Joyce was really nice, however when we got home we learned the horse was wearing egg-bar shoes... Which I quickly learned was not good. When I called Joyce to question her about it she simply said, "oh, that is how she came to us and we have just continued to shoe her that way"... Well I have only been around horses a few months now and seem to know much more than she did. After multiple people telling me the horse is lame, we had her x-rayed, sure enough she has bilateral navicular.The horse is really useless at this point.When I called to tell her about it she suggested we could breed her. We bought her for our 8 year old to barrel race. I am sure not into breeding. Bottom line... she is not willing to make the deal good, she is unwilling to admit any wrong doing. She simply lied to us and now we are stuck with a pasture ornament. If she really didn't know, you don't want to buy from anyone that ill informed, if she did know, you don't want to buy from someone who is dishonest... With all that said... I would never purchase anything from Rolling Hills Farm again and I suggest you don't either.
