I hired this company for an approximately $11,000 exterior painting project largely because of its many five-star reviews and the extensive preparation process it promised. My Ring footage shows that the house was not power-washed before painting began. After inspecting the property, I found paint applied directly over dirt, cobwebs, insects, loose material and unsanded wood. Requested hardware was painted around or painted over, substantial areas were missed, large holes were filled improperly, and damaged stucco and wood remained unrepaired. These were not minor punch-list items to correct during a final walkthrough. Cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching and repairing are fundamental steps that should have been completed before any paint was applied. After I documented the issues, the crew returned for a second day. Unfortunately, I continued finding incomplete preparation, rough and unsanded wood, debris, open holes, improper caulking and unacceptable repairs. Instead of properly correcting and completing the project, Revive & Refinish informed me that it would not return because it felt there was a "lack of trust" in its crew and process. My concerns were based on Ring footage and extensive photographic evidence of the work performed. I am now left with an incomplete project and improperly applied paint that another licensed contractor will need to inspect and correct. Leaving unused body paint at my property does not compensate me for the defective work or complete the project.
