We've repainted the entire interior, had them patch drywall, and paint the exterior. We've also used them for small jobs like a bathroom wall and most recently just a couple touch up walls where we removed some shelving and there were holes. They matched the paint really well and you'd never know we had drilled and repainted. I appreciate that they don't require a minimum amount of work and they are so so efficient. We are very disappointed with the quality of the work considering all the good reviews... However, our experience was mostly negative! Starting with Russell who promised an exceptional job, but when the paint bubbled up he came up with excuses, contradicted himself, even put words in my mouth, and never took responsibility for his mistakes. He messed up our front porch, used cheap material to save some money, and it's looking worse than before with bubbles all over. We hired A1 painting because they're supposed to be the 'professionals' in this field and expected them to have the knowledge to deal with any type of situation/weather. If the heat was a problem for doing quality painting, I wish that was communicated to us from the beginning. I sent out six requests for estimates for a small job I needed done. Out of the six only four replied with estimates within about three to four hours. The other two never replied. It was about a three hour job to sand, prep then prime and paint an outside metal closet door. Russell actually replied with a reasonable estimate within an hour. My spouse and I recently purchased our house and needed to have our kitchen wall, kitchen cabinets, master bedroom wall, master bath wall, second bathroom wall, walls in our other two bedrooms, exterior (main house and detached, two-car garage with bonus room), and front door frame and front window frames painted. Given my neuroticism, I typically do my own research to determine the maximum amount I would be expected to pay. We decided to seek the painting services of Mr. Russell Jenkins, based off of reviews I found of his services around the area (in proximity to La Verne). I called him on a Friday and he met with me the following day- Saturday. He examined our property and provided us with a very reasonable quote and timeline, as well as useful advice. All the work we needed to have completed was below the estimate I found via my online research! Further, the work would be completed in nine days (five days for interior, four days for exterior), with the interior work completed right on time for my spouse and I to move in! Mr. Jenkins started work that Monday, promptly at 8am, with two of his teammates- Jorge and Alex. Mr. Jenkins reviewed with me our contract and gave me advice on interior colors that would highlight my ceiling, crown molding, and baseboards, but still was in the same color family I preferred. Instinctively, I knew I could trust A1Painting. Thus, I left my house key and garage opener for the men to do what they needed to do, as I left for work. During the painting process, I was impressed at how Mr. Jenkins, Alex, and Jorge sealed off areas that did not need to be painted- quite thorough, I think! Mr. Jenkins even offered to do a little extra (beyond our original discussion) with our kitchen cabinets, without any extra fees! How cool is that? The painting team also locked up our house and closed our gate every day, after they completed work for that day. Upon completion, I was blown away by how incredible our home looked! It looked like a whole new home! The color Mr. Jenkins recommended was perfect! On top of that, they finished the job even earlier than expected- by the end of the week- Friday (five days instead of nine days)! It was a great surprise!
