Pizza is so good, The Margarita pizza is my favorite. A great clean and quiet place where you want to go have a couple of drinks and eat a good pizza. Music is on in the bar area, great atmosphere. The following I have had and highly recommend. Cheesy bread, they allow you to add additional ingredients my favorite is jalapeno's and sausage. The sandwiches are filling and tasty. We decided to try the music at CCP, we went 3 times, each time an hour early for dinner. All 3 times the service was terrible and 2 of the 3 times the food was marginal. The third time we left without eating because of the caustic attitude of the bartender Heather. We arrived and stood in line behind a couple that was screaming very loudly and over and over... that every time he calls to make a reservation he is told they don't take them. The seating for music was all reserved. We did have a reservation and I was told I would have a specific spot. Instead they had us at the least desirable location in the venue, even though we called over a week in advance. The way it was handled by the bar tender was so unprofessional and offensive we chose to leave. It was obvious she was taking her frustrations out on customers and turned 6 customers away with just her tone. She could have won everyone over and created a pleasant experience for all. I hope that she is an exception. But the service was lousy the other 2 times we ate there. In fact a table next to us just got up and walked out without paying. We mentioned it to the waitress and she said they were not happy with the service. Mind you it was not busy at the time so there is a service issue. Location is key to our visits to Catalina Craft Pizza. When we want a quick pizza this is decent. The restaurant is divided into hodge-podge booths or tables and chairs on one side and live music, bar, and tables on the other. There's typically only 2 servers working no matter how busy. Live music is very loud for the size of the restaurant. At least the performer we heard was enjoyable. Service starts ok, but after drinks are delivered it tumbles. Pizza is good, not great. Caesar salad could use more dressing and less cheese. Wings must accompany a pizza and their's are ok. Essentially, I would stop at for convenience, but don't go out of the way. read more

Well where do I start. Our waitress was not happy to be there. Couldn't get water, never got refills and she brought me burnt eggplant parm not once but TWICE n told me they said it's just brown it was disgusting. The zucchini fries were so salty that was a $10 waste and it cost me 3.50 to have tomato juice added to my beer! TONY - TELL ME WHEN YOU FIRE HEATHER Aug. 14 -- Worst experience we've had here. We've been regular customers at Catalina Craft Pizza since before COVID and have almost always had a great experience. Unfortunately, Heather's overly aggressive and outright hostile behavior toward our party of four last night ended that. What happened: 1] A week in advance: We made a reservation for four to see CSM play, specifically requesting a table at the front of the room, and they confirmed - under "name". 2] Wednesday - 2 days before: We called to confirm the reservation and again they confirmed front of room seating for 4 under [name]. 3] Friday night: We arrived on time. Every table at the front was occupied. We found another table marked with the same [name], but it was set for nine people, not four. Heather had been arguing with another elderly couple when we walked in - then came over to us (looking for our name on a table in the dining room). When we asked Heather about our reserved table, she replied, "Well, other people make reservations, too." We recited our first reservation - then our confirmation on Wednesday And we pointed out a different reservation on a table for 9 (not 4) under the same "name". She said there were "obviously two different reservations under the same name." Fair enough. We asked where our table was. Her response: "How do I know? I'm not a mind reader." She then offered us a table literally in the FURTHEST BACK CORNER. When two seats opened at the bar (making that 4 stools), we discussed sitting there or waiting to see whether a table nearer the front became available. Heather responded sarcastically "you can take the back table or sit at the bar 'where I'll be serving you all night - won't that be fun." I told her "sitting at the bar would probably not be fun tonight". She then leaned toward my face and said, approximately, "You really want to make an issue with me? You really want to go down that road? Maybe you should find someplace else to listen to music." One member of our party dried to deescalate - CALMLY saying "let's calm down and find a solution". Then Heather leaned into HIM - explicitly saying "when in the history of the world has telling someone to calm down EVERY worked". Well - it obviously didn't work with her - so we did in fact leave. At NO TIME did we ever raise our voice or get aggressive - just the opposite, and that calmness seemed to trigger her even more! After MANY DOZENS of enjoyable visits over many years, Catalina Craft Pizza lost four longtime customers over an aggressive, unreasonable, obviously triggered hostile employee who should NEVER treat a customer like we were treated. We ordered the ham and pineapple large pizza. Just under $40, for take out. We will be eating it for a week. A ranger at the Catalina State park recommended this place for pizza and he was spot on. Walked in last night and the restaurant was quite empty on a July Sunday @ 6:30 PM. The cook acknowledged us from the kitchen. We sat down at a booth and, for the SECOND time in the past several months, spent 10+ minutes waiting for the arrival of a server. We must've been invisible as no one EVER showed up. I usually don't write reviews but tonight I will. We are not regular customers, but we have eaten here before and found our previous visits as, I'd say ok, but I can't ignore commenting on our visit tonight. To start, we were seated at a table with a broken seat bench. My wife and I took it upon ourselves to change tables. After waiting for about 5 minutes, we motioned to a man that appeared to be either the manager or owner. We gave our drink order and also ordered a pizza. Our drinks were brought to us and then the waiting began. I wasn't running a stop watched but it took much longer than one would expect, with the waitress eventually telling us it would be about 5 minutes longer. When the pizza arrived I gave my wife a slice and took one for myself. I won't go into detail, but the crust was hard and when I bit in the crust was so hard I had to rip it apart with my teeth. I couldn't help notice that my wife was having trouble with hers. We then tried cutting it with a knife and literally had to saw it with the knife.I complained to the waitress and she said she would tell the cook. We didn't hear anything back so I approached the person who I thought was the owner. He said that he was the owner. so I expressed my concerns to him. His comment was. "I'm eating pizza now," as he motioned to his plate, "and it's ok" He then asked , how can I make it right. I'm not one to make demands, so I just told him that I thought pizza crust was dried out, tough, difficult to eat and that He would appreciate customer feedback, He said thanks and went back to eating his pizza, without any further acknowledgement. The waitress eventually brought us the check. We paid and left leaving half of the pizza behind. We won't be back. read more

Family owned restaurants are either really good or bad. The service was friendly, professional and really made you feel welcoming. We started with their wings, with the honey Buffalo and BBQ on the side. Plus ranch and blue cheese. The wings were hot, crispy and juicy. The way wings should be cooked. We went with eight, then as we were leaving bought another order for a late night snack while watching our midnight movie. I do wish they had more veggies, carrot sticks with the wings, but that's my only gripe. For the pizza, I went with no cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and grilled chicken. The pizza was very good, and the crust was thin. Going back, we would go either wings and a salad or pizza, only because you just want to eat more, and overstuff yourself. Sorry to say this, especially since this has been our go to place for pizza for years. But...they never put much meat on their pizzas any more. We usually order the large Lucky Marie, but the last two have come with little pepperoni and miniscule sausage. I sure hope they see this and get back on track. I would like to say first that it is very difficult for me to have to write this review but feel it is warranted. My family and I have been loyal regular customers of this restaurant since 2011 when we moved here. We discovered the CSM Trio and the combination made for a fun entertaining night out for our family and friends we invited to join us. Up until last month we were able to reserve a table but the owner has decided that it is inconvenient for them to do so...I personally went in to discuss the situation with him and received an I don't care attitude and he ended by saying "well I've made the decision and if I end up with an empty restaurant I guess I'll be to blame". I left and will unfortunately no longer patronize his business. I truly wonder if customer loyalty even means anything anymore. I didn't see evidence that it did in this case. Probably the worst pizza I've ever had but even worse than that was the service. This is my second time. I tried their meatball sub again one of the worst I've ever had. I can't recommend this place at all the servers don't even check on you after your order, you have to chase them down and when you go up to pay your bill you find out maybe they haven't even input it yet so you have to stand around and wait. Slow service. It's best to call ahead than wait 35 minutes even when there were barely customers at that time. We also have had better pizza at that same price range. Pizza is just OK but won't be craving for it. As for the place-- I actually don't know why restaurants have to be dark. It's common but it looks dated. Newer restaurants tend to be bright. read more

I can't believe we live this close and hadn't tried Catalina Craft Pizza until recently, but we're SO glad we did. It's hard to find gluten-free options in our area, even Oro Valley, and the gluten-free options don't end at the pizza. They are able to make their awesome wings gluten-free. The wings really are excellent. But what really impressed us and stays with us is the service here. We've eaten here twice in a week. Our first time, our server was Isabella and she was so sweet, and accommodating and helpful in getting the wings to be GF, she talked to the chef (Brady?) and we were there early enough so they could bake them. Anyway, Isabella really provided great service and the wings were great. We were hoping to get pizza, my wife is the one with the gluten allergy, and they were out of the GF crust that day, so I didn't feel right getting pizza if she couldn't try the GF crust. So I went with the Italian sandwich, because, well, first of all, HELLO, CAPICOLA! I love capicola, I rarely see it on anyone's menu and I also noticed they use it as a meat topping for their pizzas, so I got the sandwich so I'd know how it'd be on the pizza next time. The whole sandwich was very good, not just the capicola, I liked the peppers and the other meats and the bread was fresh. But the experience stood out because of Isabella's great service, even if we didn't like the food. Later that same week, I called to see if the GF crust was available, it was, and we went. This time our server was Marisa, and she was just as great as Isabella! We really liked her. She was also VERY pleasant, and just a lot of fun to have as our server, she checked on us, it was a lot of fun AND we were able to enjoy the pizza. NICE! Pretty darn close to NY pizza! Excellent crust, chewy but also crispy AND you can taste a nice flavor in the dough, it's not JUST a vessel for the sauce and cheese. I think the mozzarella is what makes the pizza so good, although the sauce is also great, it's got a little bit of a sweetness to it, not too acidy. And you can bet I got capicola as a topping and it was great! Capicola and black olive, yum! Even the GF pizza was very good (usually you say it's "good for gluten-free" but this really was one of the better GF crusts). We just love the way we're treated and it's not like we're even regulars. Add the great food and you've got a winner! I think we're about to BECOME regulars! read more

The pizza was very good but I paid for expedited service and did not get it. By the time I got my order the salad was warm and the pizza cold. I live .7 mile from this restaurant but it took nearly an hour to get my food, even though I paid extra to get it sooner. The driver admittedly failed to follow the written directions and drove aimlessly around the neighborhood looking for my house. So, I'm out the tip money for good service that I did not receive and I'm out the expedited service fee for which I did not receive. I'm very underwhelmed and feel ripped off. read more

I love this place not only for it's pizza, but they also make some mean chicken wings. My personal favorites for pizza and wings are the Kitchen Sink pizza and the Bighorn Fire (dry rub) wings. The wings spicy and flavorful and just the right amount of heat. The pizza is piled with toppings and has an amazing crust. They also have a great local beer selection including craft beers from 1912 Brewing, Barrio Brewing, and lots of others! It's so nice to have a local hang on the North side of town that appreciates good beer. Catalina Craft Pizza is also home to many awesome events including comedy from GrAttitude Productions. They have open mic comedy most Sunday Nights at 6pm and lots of showcases you can buy tickets to see!
