We were in Tucson visiting family, my son had to find a place that is celiac friendly. This place popped up and let me say it's in a beautiful plaza, bet welcoming right when you walk in, lovely areas to dine in or outside! We chose outside because the weather was so beautiful! The waitress was very friendly and helpful, she was very kind about the food needing to be non cross contaminated, and completely celiac friendly she went in the back before we even ordered to let them know. we ordered some cheesy garlic bread, gluten-free, of course and a gluten-free pepperoni pizza with basil, everything was absolutely delicious from the pizza to the bread. The bread was cooked so perfectly so nice and soft on the top yet underneath was nice and toasted flavor was perfect and the pizza was wonderful to be honest with you. I couldn't even tell that it was gluten-free. It tasted amazing! We will definitely be going back there every time we are in Tucson! A must try for sure!

First time here and we were not disappointed. They have an amazing patio which would be great to enjoy live music if you planned right. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The meatball appetizer was delicious, would have loved a slice or two of bread with it. Pizza was good but the crust was a bit soggy. Salad was delicious and loaded with all sorts of things. A bigger bowl would have been helpful to stir it all up. Lots more items on the menu for us to try next time.

$10 happy hour pepperoni pizza with an Italian Cab for $7.

Visited for my first time. Helpful, engaging and fun staff. Hot, fresh pizza right out of the oven. Generous glass of Italian Cab from the Tuscan region. Views of the plaza of St. Phillips square from the bar and all seemed happy to be in the hour.

Margherita Pizza* was small, had a handful of cherry tomatoes on it, and the cheese slid right off. The dough was good.

This was beyond disappointing. Our group came by for lunch and the mimosa passport, saw it wasn't busy, and sat down. We immediately ordered mimosas and our food, and after 30 minutes our food was brought out but our mimosas were nowhere to be seen. They were delivered minutes later and we immediately asked for a second round since we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for them. The bolognese was cold with overcooked noodles, the "Weekend Bowl" was also cold and missing most of the ingredients. Only potatoes and eggs with cheese, and no onions, no peppers, no mushrooms. The second round of mimosas finally came out almost 40 MINUTES LATER. That's when we decided to close out and go somewhere else. Very sad since this used to be a go-to spot for us years ago.

Cool spot and good food. Is this a dinning group that runs St. Phillips Plaza dining? The pasta and baked goods are made daily so it's super fresh. The service was good, the server was attentive and accommodated special requests.

Love this location , outdoor seating is a vibe in the evening at St.Phillip's Plaza . Great service . Vegan options . You can find live music in the courtyard most nights . They have a small bakery that you can pick up grab n go desserts & cookies by the dozen !

I was excited to try this place based on how busy they seem to get. I am staying in the hotel next door and just wanted a place I could relax at. The ambiance is very nice and the food was fresh and yummy as well. I had the happy hour meatballs and artichoke dip. I ordered a salad to go for dinner and that too was delicious. We need one in a California!

Dry salmon and horrible mushroom risotto.

Mushroom risotto had no flavor. As if it was boiled in water instead of broth. Just avoid. Added salmon and was ok. Baked in a pan hours ago and a bit dry. I had higher hopes for this restaurant. This meal ensures I will not return.

Ordered brownie and lemon bar, then cut them in half so I could share them with someone I love. So very good!

First time ordering today. I've been intrigued, but the pizza didn't say a size on it. It is definitely a small pizza. This was an expensive order for three small pizzas, one brownie and one lemon bar. Very, very expensive. One accidental taste of the lemon bar, while cutting it and I felt very fine about the price. I had hope for the pizza. I was not disappointed in that hope. This is real pizza. There is a reason it is expensive compared to many other pizzas. The quality of the ingredients, the .. whatever their chef does that is different from what other chefs do ... oh my word! I told my son, "This is Bill level pizza." Bill was a man from Greece that made pizza so good that, back when long distance calls were excruciatingly painful to pay for, a food critic from Chicago was spending so much time on the phone in our teeny town in Alaska, trying to argue his editor into letting him give a review of the restaurant. We are waiting for Bill to be resurrected and we used to sing the chorus of the song about the pizza man (1970s) about him and call him, "The Pizza Man." He had some touch that made it so that he could use the same exact ingredients as his brother, who he owned the restaurant with, and make something that was just floating far, far above what his brother could create. Yet, his brother's pizza was really incredibly good. It just didn't make you believe that angels do sing. This is pizza exactly as it should be.

I have had food from Proof several times- pick up or delivery and it had all been delicious! Their gluten free options are exceptional! Not just a gluten free pizza crust (which is DELICIOUS btw), but GF garlic bread, GF pasta (haven't tried it yet!) and GF BRUSCHETTA!! The pizza I've had most often- it's so good I get the same kind every time! This was the first time I ate at the restaurant and it was great! We ate outside on the patio, which had a nice atmosphere (everything at St Philips plaza does!). I ordered the GF bruschetta and red wine. The bruschetta portions were huge and they were all delicious! Also, special thanks to Proof for hosting our annual combined bookclub meeting!

    The Proof - delicious!

That whole St. Philip's area always has a great energy, and UPH is a big part of that. There's usually a crowd, live music or sports on, and it feels like one of those places where you can bring friends from out of town and know it'll be a fun time. Food is consistently solid. The grilled chicken sandwich is my go-to and it's good every time. We both usually get one, and a lot of the time we'll add buffalo wings, which are some of our favorites in Tucson. Good flavor, good texture, and always reliable. If anything, the wings could always use a little more sauce, but they're still one of the better orders on the menu. The only real issue, and it happens pretty often, is the service speed. Everyone there is friendly, but the place always feels understaffed, especially when it's busy. We've had multiple times sitting outside in the Arizona heat where it takes 15-20 minutes just to get water to the table, and you start wondering if you should go up to the bar yourself to get things moving. Once service gets going everything is fine, but getting that first round of attention can take longer than it should for how often this place fills up. Even with that, we keep coming back. The food is consistent, the atmosphere is great, and the plaza has a real sense of community that makes it easy to hang out there for a while. It's one of our go-to spots in Tucson, and it's still somewhere we bring friends when they're visiting. Food 7.5 Ambience 8 Service 7 Price 7 7.4 overall C Great place to spend time, just don't expect everything to happen quickly when it's busy.

What I also enjoy: The breakfast food sticks to the basics, but is done well. They make surprisingly decent pizzas, if you're in the mood for that. As with everything else in the surrounding plaza, it gets busy and there's often some sort of event out front, usually a market or live music. You should drop by while the weather is still perfect!

I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. We had many drinks come to our table, the first round being the homemade limoncello. Made with local Meyer lemons, it is deliciously potent. A must try. The bartender, Ryan or Brian, he made cocktails from the heart. A couple of gals ordered "dealer's choice" drinks and they were inspired by the drinker's stories. I did have a coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto, and freshly-made whipped cream. Last must try if not on a coffee drink maybe on a dessert. One person in our party thought that the drinks were on the spendy side. Many of the ingredients were house made and all top shelf. I'm from Los Angeles so an $18 drink was a normal night at the klerb. Worth mentioning if that would be a deal breaker. Worth a go. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still.
