Catalina Cucina is, without question, the most beautiful restaurant in Cherokee County. Nothing else in Woodstock even comes close. Catalina is the class of Woodstock. We had six people in our party and every single dish was excellent. We started with the antipasto, caprese, and calamari -- all authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The entrée portions were massive. The cowboy ribeye and bone-in veal parmesan were outstanding. The quality of the meats was superb and far exceeds any steakhouse or steak I've had in Woodstock. You can immediately taste the difference in quality and preparation. My niece loved her pepperoni pizza, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the sea bass. The service was excellent from beginning to end. We've eaten at the other Italian restaurants in Downtown Woodstock and, quite honestly, they don't compare. Most feel average at best, with outdated interiors and a much less elevated dining experience. Catalina feels different the moment you walk in. Wine list has mediocre offerings. Old-fashioned had a bourbon that did not pair well with the drink, which made it taste overly sweet. Asked if you want bread service, but does not let you know there's a $4 charge. The server that was beside us gave his guests more of an experience than our server. Server passed our table several times without asking for refills on beverages. Meatballs were dry and small for the price point. Parmesan chicken was good. It's a pounded out chicken breast for one entrée with a small side of pasta. Dessert was good but looking at the plate, there was a sticker on the bottom , so I'm not sure if they washed it prior to bring it to our table. read more

I was so excited for a new 'Italian' restaurant in Woodstock. I was so very disappointed. When we were about to order our appetizer, the octopus looked good. I asked my waiter if it was grilled. He said yes. It was not. It was boiled. Then it said it came with tomatoes onions olives and some other vegs with a vinaigrette what it was is a giardiniera with the boiled octopus in it. It tasted like it came out of a jar. We sent it back with the complaint and it still came on the bill which was delivered by our waiter. The lobster ravioli was adequate. I ordered shrimp diavolo. It came out with grated cheese. I sent back for a redo. Adequate. Fish and cheese a no no unless one chooses. No one approached our table to offer cheese for the ravs or red pepper for me which I would have gladly accepted. The table next to us was offered that choice. Then there was our 'contorno '. We ordered spinach which was $15. It was enough to feed an infant. I never complain about paying for exceptional goods, foods or services, but this was beyond excessive. Why a 2 star? When I brought to the attention of the manager he was extremely gracious and understanding. And removed the app from the bill. We also got a desert and cocktail on the house. He assured my next visit would be more satisfying. Bravo to Antonio. I really hope they do better. It's a beautiful place. read more

Catalina Cucina is an incredible Italian restaurant in Woodstock. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was even better! Everything tastes fresh and made to perfection. Our group loved the warm bread served alongside our meals, which included pasta alfredo, pizza, and lasagna. I ordered the eggplant parmesan, and it was amazing. Highly recommend! read more

So glad we tried Catalina Cucina! First time here! First of all the restaurant is stunning inside! I loved the decor. So plush and relaxing. Incredibly well designed. The colors made me relax, even during the day. We were greeted warmly at the door by our actual server. The booth was so comfy and the environment just makes you want to linger. Also had a great outdoor area but it was hot and muggy. I want to come back at night. The menu seemed curated rather than one trying to please everyone. Less done well is more. We shall see. We tried some bread to start off. Crusty Italian loaf with a sun dried tomato dipping sauce. Absolutely fantastic! The dipping sauce was popping with flavor and I want to try to make this at home. Don't miss this. For our meals we moved to a Caesar Salad. Plenty to split. Well dressed and delicious. My wife got a veggie and ham frittata. It was just a little overcooked and lacked salt. (Restaurants don't put salt on tables anymore) I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. I really liked it although it was incredibly rich. Buttery croissant, buttery hollandaise, along with a perfectly cooked poached egg and the texture of the salmon left me wanting a break before I finished it. The flavors were definitely there, but it was RICH! There are many items on the menu that I want to try. This place is beautifully modern and the service was excellent. Several staff members checked on us. Teamwork makes the dream work. If they keep this level of quality and keep the menu fresh, unlike other Italian restaurants in the area, this place will be around a long time! Get the bread!!! read more

We started off with a glass of the Lu Rappaio red wine and it was very good. It is a bold red with a little sweetness. The caprese salad was very fresh and good. We ordered the lasagna and sea bass. The sea bass was amazing!! The lasagna was very good and we loved the fresh pasta. For dessert we tried the panna cotta and it did not disappoint. Service was good and very attentive. We will come back again soon to try more dishes. read more

Just an absolutely beautiful restaurant. With indoor and outdoor seating on the balcony or the patio out front. They recently started their soft opening this weekend and from what I understand are not doing the Grand Opening for weeks. Seems like they want to get a full staff and fine tune everything. The staff tonight seemed plentiful and did a great job. Wine list that we were given was very small and hopefully they expand it. We enjoyed all the dishes we had tonight. Portions were not extreme and were consistent with fine dining. Don't expect huge portions and leftovers. Prices were reasonable with prices for entrees ranging from $20-$56, Pizza started at $15. We did enjoy the flavors of our dinners tonight. Hopefully they will make the Crème Brûlée a little thicker, way too thin. Also to hit the top a little better to give the top a little crunch. We will be back to try them again to see how things are going. read more

When I came in for dinner the hostess Amy was so sweet and welcoming and I really appreciated her making my experience.

We were excited to try this new restaurant in our home town . From the time we entered it was disappointing, they sat us in the bar with no menus . The waiter came to the table and asked his verse behavior and asked what we wanted .... Ah no menus , he apologized. No bread till we asked , ordered dinner , my wife got hers and mine was wrong ! Waiter brought pasta out it was hard and stuck together, we asked where my food was and proceeded to go in kitchen to rush my order. Deserts were not presented at the end of meal with the bill again we had to ask! The invoice was incorrect and didn't reflect what we ordered !!!!!! Highly unlikely we won't go again. read more

Went there today for lunch. It was not busy. Ordered basic dishes. Chicken piccata and caprese. After an hour, still no food. The place was not busy. The waiter told us 3 or 4 times, "your food is a couple minutes". Meanwhile, people around us who came in and ordered after us kept getting their food. We finally told the waiter we were out of time and had to leave. He had to get a manager to take the food off our bill, but no manger or owner ever came and talked to us or apologized. It was clear they didn't care. We left and won't be back. Terrible. read more
