Back in the day, Lucia's was the premier Italian restaurant in the area. In fact, their walnut pear salad was written up in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Now, well.... their glory days are over. The restaurant is okay, just not stand out. I am however glad that they sustained business during the pandemic and as evidenced tonight, they have loyal patronage. The signature salad is fine, if nothing special. I do like the dressing. Calamari is rubbery. Chicken picata was eh. Three people in my party ordered it; we all had the same opinion. Rather than pasta I chose spinach as a side; that's an excellent option, sauteed in garlic and olive oil. Having had a cannoli last week in Acworth, I made a head-to-head comparison. The winner is .... Acworth! The filling in Lucia's doesn't strike me as authentic. Would I come back? Sure. The restaurant is ten minutes from home. Would I say, "wow! I can't wait to eat at Lucia's?" Not likely.

    Bread was fresh and tasty

Nice place, good service, but what little food I had was forgettable. The good: nice ambiance and the bartender was nice and helpful. Wine was fresh and cold. The ok: got the goat cheese marinara. The focaccia was nice but would have preferred a crusty bread. The marinara was not great. It lacked the balance I was hoping for. There was a hint of heat but no freshness or sweetness on the other side of the scale. I wouldn't order again. When the simple dishes are not great, it makes you wonder about the rest. We don't live out this way so prob not rushing to return regardless of the 4 stars.

Been wanting to stop here for a while I finally did and I'm glad I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was very good one of the best that I had I will definitely be back soon

The food is good, although not a lot of flavor. This is a BYOB establishment. Bring your own wine.

They have outdoor dining which seems to have a great atmosphere but it was way too hot to dine outside. We typically love bars but this one was dark and uninviting. No thank you. We sat to the left as you enter the front door. Missing atmosphere-- wouldn't choose to sit here again. Service was impeccable. I couldn't decide what I wanted for a glass of wine and they offered to bring me glasses to sample. I love this-- I saw them offer same service to another table close by. We split the Caesar and they were kind enough to diving between two bowls. The only other place that does this for us is Cibo e Beve. The focaccia was wonderful with large flakes of salt on top and went great with their olive oil. We are truly picky Caesar eaters and this one had freshly shaved Parmesan and obvious homemade croutons. Pasta was fabulous for both of us. Would we dine here again? Definitely not the bar and probably not the dining room, but would come back to dine outdoors. Carrie was our waitress and she was fantastic.

So I wanted to try something different. I've been in this area many times and I never stopped in…read morehere, really, will not for food. What does that have to give it a go. I was not mad at all! So coming here you're going to have to worry about parking but there's a lot right next door. I think it's like $10 to park but you can also find other lots and if you could find street parking, that'd be great. Remember this is a residential area outside of this little district so you got to be careful where you park at. This place is pretty cool because it has a large space for seating, a really large bar, and plenty of outdoor seats as well. The dining room area is very large and the bar is pretty big but the outside area to me takes the cake. They have chairs and loungers and a fire pit, I think. It's really clutch if it's a really nice day out. The last time I went outside at the bar and ordered a couple of bites. The bartender was super cool, polite, no issue with the service. Garlic knots - so these came and I wasn't actually expecting them but they were good. Here, the last time I was there I wasn't offering any garlic knots so I didn't know that they gave these as an appetizer bread. They came with a good sauce and they were very buttery and glazed with butter and cheese. They weren't as pull-apart tender as I would have liked but they still had a really good flavor to them. Calamari - I ordered the calamari as well. I've actually had it before and it was really good so I went back for it. It comes with a really good marinara sauce that has plenty of chunks of tomato in it. The calamari itself is very good and savory and it comes plentiful. You may not even necessarily eat the sauce because it's pretty seasoned. Cheese sticks - I guess I wouldn't call these cheese sticks because they're more like triangles lol but they are really good. Deep-fried cheese triangles, they didn't miss. It had the typical issues you have when you fry something but at the same time they were good and had a really good cheese pull. I would definitely order these again. They came only in three but they were very nice sized. Overall I had a good experience. Again this is not my first time going but I would actually go back and try food because honestly I've only tried appetizers. I haven't actually tried dinner lol but I've had a really good experience every time I've been.

My husband and I tried Ipps for a mid-day lunch during his lunch break. They weren't busy at all,…read moreso we expected the food and drinks to come out well, but unfortunately, they didn't. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was actually better from the trainee than from the woman who said she was training her. The food was just okay. My Grey Goose martini didn't taste like Grey Goose. It tasted like a different, cheaper vodka and went down very rough, even though Grey Goose is usually smooth. The drink was supposed to be sweet and fruity, but it didn't taste good at all. It had an odd, old taste to it. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. It was just okay and didn't really stand out. I've been to Italian restaurants where the pasta tasted extremely fresh and the sauce tasted homemade. I love Italian food, but this spot just wasn't it. My husband didn't like his food either and didn't eat it. He told the waitress who was training that the sauce was a bit overwhelming for the dish. She didn't seem concerned. She told him she was sorry he didn't like it and walked away. She didn't ask if he would like to try something else or offer any other solution. The waitress who was doing the training was very short and acted as if she didn't care throughout most of our meal. We are not in a hurry to go back, especially after feeling like we wasted our time and money.

The price point was way higher than I would expect for a brick oven pizza because I paid $30 for a large, but I'm willing to pay that if it's good Pizza. We walk in and they have our pizza ready at the exact time they told us it would be ready. We decided to just eat in there so we sit down at a table and open up the pizza box and the pizza is basically raw. We pick a piece out and it wasn't even cooked to have the crunchy crispy bottom crust that you would expect from a brick oven pizza. It was completely floppy and all the toppings just poured off. You had to support it with two hands to even take a bite. I walked over and asked the lady if she could put the pizza back in the oven for a couple minutes. She immediately told me no because it was already sliced and that it would just fall apart. I asked her if she could put it on a tray or an oven rack and put it in there. She told me no because then it would just turn black. So I paid $30 for a basically raw pizza. The pepperonis weren't even cooked. They tasted like raw pepperoni does. I took the pizza home and put it in my oven and cooked it at 500° for 15 minutes and it came out with a nice crunchy crust like you would expect. Then the pizza itself was good. But with that lack of customer service and serving raw pizza, I would not recommend this place at all. Really wanted to like this place. Who in their right mind would even cut the pizza when undercooked?

I'd say five layers would provide a similar presentation as the slices do look lovely and the same can be achieved with less layering and more filling and sauce.
