What a cute little place! Decided to take a morning motorcycle ride out east from Aurora and saw this place on the map and decided to stop for brunch. So glad we did...it was excellent! My family & I visited this restaurant this morning. My son lives in Elizabeth & we were visiting his family & decided to eat breakfast here. The food was great! I had hash browns & the serving was huge and good. I also had bacon & once again another huge serving. Sourdough toast finished off my meal. My DIL had French toast & said it was really good & my son had a Denver omelet & another rave. There is a sign on the dining tables stating there can be a 30 minute wait because they use fresh foods. The service was excellent. We will definitely come back here next time we're in CO. read more

Our waitress was awesome. Food was awesome. I love that they have signs on the tables telling you to be patient they actually make their food from scratch so it's not gonna be quick and I love that. Dinner was not good at all, my wife ordered the Buffalo chicken salad and I ordered the special, Chicken fried steak. The buffalo chicken in her salad was processed pre frozen chicken nuggets (YUCK). My Chicken fried steak was the same, A pre frozen processed chicken fried steak (YUCK). We have had breakfast at Catalinas before and it was good, however our dinner experience was just awful could have stayed home and heated up a couple of Banquet frozen meals and had the same result as eating dinner at Catalina's read more

Super neat interior. A lot more seating room than I expected. Waiter was Jonny on the spot. Even after asking for a few more minutes, he noticed when we put down our menus and took our order. I ordered the eggs, meat and Bacon. Wifey got the ranchero burrito. A very pleasant experience and we will go back. read more

Love this little gem! With a traditional diner feel, this mom-and-pop restaurant is all about the details. The hop-up bar seating has character. The dining room has a massive fireplace. We had breakfast - chicken fried steak.... YUM! The only criticism we have were that the homemade biscuits weren't very good. Recommend! read more

I've loved everything that I've had here! They have a very wide range of options which is nice for a family dinner so everyone can get what they feel like. I usually get their Italian food either the manicotti or the lasagna and they're both delicious but I've also had their street tacos and I've had their burgers and both were very good as well! Our first time here. We ordered breakfast and it was outstanding! It was fresh and delicious! My husband saw a burger and fries go past as we were leaving and asked if the fries were made fresh. When he was told, "...yes they were cut fresh , in house!" I think he would have sat right back down and had lunch. We'll definitely be back to try lunch! read more

I stopped by for breakfast. The service was excellent. The omelet was quite large, and well cooked. My instructions on the toast were followed correctly, as were they on the hash browns. The hash browns were a bit greasier than I would have liked. I really enjoyed the green chile here (it is a great accompaniment ti the eggs). I do think the price on the breakfast sides/add ons could be a little lower. read more

We so wanted to like this place. It's clean, menu has it all, and small town business....what's not to like. Turns out, the food. Alas, service was mediocre (we asked for opinions about what to get and the young girl was polite but distracted and apathetic) so we both ordered burgers. Reviews showed some frustrations over how long it took to get food. Our food came out reasonably quickly, although the burgers out were 5 minutes before the fries which was a bit frustrating. The fries are hand cut and they were pretty good. The beer was cold (only one draft choice, but Stella was ok for me). The burgers were awful. I ordered a patty melt which showed a burger with cheese and onions on grilled sour dough. When the server brought it out it was a nice thick burger sitting on lightly toasted (not grilled) sour dough bread. We were waiting on the fries anyhow, so I explained I was expecting grilled sour dough as described in the menu, and asked her if that was how they normally served a patty melt? She pointed at my plate and said that's how we always do them. Oh well, I can deal with that, but when I later bit into my luke-warm burger (after waiting for the fries) it was so dry I could barely chew it without sipping my beer to swallow. First bite resulted in a big chunk of gristle which I had to spit into my napkin. My wife had the same gristly experience as she ate hers, and if anything hers was even dryer than mine. Both were unseasoned and flavorless as well. What a shame. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

Ate here twice. 1st breakfast I ordered was eggs, hash Browns & bacon with sour dough toast. Nothing special but it is the regular go to breakfast. 2nd time I wanted something with more flavor. I ordered Huevos Rancheros. Yummy! Very flavorful. This place was very clean with friendly servers. Large menu with lots of variety to choose from. Not a favorite in my book but it does have old school diner charm with friendly people. Not half bad! I say try it! read more

I really tried to like this place. The last two visits were not good. The ones prior were good... not great but not horrible. One visit the staff was very unorganized and it took 30 to get our order taken. Only half the restaurant was filled and no one was waiting to be seated, so not sure why it took that long. Then when we finally got our order taken, we waited almost an hour for our meal and it's wasn't "fresh out of the oven." The second time we went everyone in our party got sick. We were a group of 5 each time. It's too bad for us that service went down because it would be a convenient local spot. read more

The first time I went here was for Pizza and wings - they were really tasty. Had a beer to wash the goodness down and all was great. The second time I went here with my wife for breakfast and I have to admit - it was really good. You will not find any fancy foods like French baguette French toast with peanut butter and strawberry jam (bonus points for the person who knows where to find this exotic delight). Only good old American favorites here! Had two eggs with hash browns, a biscuit and one fluffy pancake. And everything was of gargantuan proportions and inexpensive prices. I did forget to mention the homemade gravy which enhanced that biscuit ten-fold! read more

The service here is good, the burgers great, Italian is their speciality and I have yet to find something I dont like. Husband loves the lasagna and a majority of food is homemade ...rare these days. Have been here three times for breakfast and it is the food that keeps me coming back, definitely not the service. So first the service: always slow, but friendly. Never once have I arrived, been seated, and eaten in less than an hour, no matter what size a group I come in with. With that said, when the waitress finally arrives, they have always been friendly, attentive to our group's needs, and checked back often. The food is very good. I try something new each time and have always walked away full and with a smile on my face and needing a nap. My review is strictly for breakfast, not lunch or dinner, someday maybe. Pancakes are great and their burritos are of nice proportion and full of flavor. I think I end up paying around $16 for a burrito, coffee, large orange juice, and tip. So not cheap, but you really do get a lot of food for your buck. I live 15 minutes down the road, so the travel time is minimal. Would I make the trip if I lived in Denver? Maybe every so often. Watch your speed as you enter the city - police love to sit right below the hill and collect you cash donation. read more

They ordered Mexican food, which tasted like Picante sauce. My fries were raw. Tonight, we ordered pizza. Terrible! The crust was burnt, no sauce and nasty tasting cheese. What a cute place and great location in Elizabeth. I have to give our waitress tons of credit for going toe-to-toe with one of my dining companions - I believe she said something about him being a stalker (but that could be for a whole different review). He had fabulous things to say about the food. My meal was a good solid breakfast although there didn't seem to be enough seasonings today. I loved the potatoes. The pancakes and eggs were good. I'm glad that they served standard pancakes, anymore you go to a place and they get too fancy and start putting all kinds of crap in my pancakes. I also ordered the spicy Italian sausage - it was okay and not sure that it really went with breakfast. When I was ordering I was thinking about getting the biscuits and gravy, as I shouldn't eat these - ever - but I love them so much. But I'm glad that I didn't. My companion ordered the chicken fried steak with peppered gravy and eggs. So I got to the try the gravy anyway. I'm very very picky about the gravy and this didn't have a lot to it and found it very bland and I was wondering where the pepper was. You can also ask for a sample of the green chili - so we did. I'm glad that we did and we loved it. They said it was a little on the sweeter side but I found it be not be sweet at all. It has just a hint of heat and the green chili tasted like they just roasted it yesterday. Next time visit I will be sure to order something that is smothered in the green chili. read more

Delicious! My husband and I ate here for the first time last week and I keep thinking about it. I had the chicken burger with fries and jalapeño ranch. It was cooked perfectly! Sometimes I'm scared to get chicken sandwiches because they can be dry, but it was not the case at all. The jalapeño ranch is sooo addictive. My husband kept stealing it from me for his fries. What a great place to dine. We live just 11 miles from this restaurant and decided to check it out and it did not disappoint. My wife is a very picky eater and she loved the chicken parmigiana and the garlic cheese bread. I had the hot pastrami sandwich with banana peppers and a salad. This is our second time to Cosentino's. Both times, the food was awesome! I had the Italian Scramble, the hubby had the omelet stuffed (really stuffed!) with ham, sausage and other goodies. The problem both times was the service. I can cut them a bit of stack for our first visit as the place was completely packed. Unfortunately, when we visited today, it wasn't busy but our server wasn't very attentive. We may give Cosentino's one more try due to the great food, but if there is still a problem with the service, it'll be off our list of restaurants to support. read more
